I'm 25 years old and I know what a 5 1/4" floppy disk is. I remember my first computer I had for my personal use (a hand-me-down from my dad) was an old 286 with two floppy disk drives, one 3 1/2" and one 5 1/4". I rarely used the 5 1/4" drive, but I would still recognize a 5 1/4" floppy disk on sight.

My dad likes to do that too.

Sometimes they have bring-a-friend days in mid- to late August, but those aren't usually announced until just a short time beforehand.

I prefer the Subway in Soak City over the one in Coney Mall. The SC location carries several subs that the CM one doesn't, and also has microwaves and toaster ovens if you want your sub hot like I do.

I realize "tomorrow" is now yesterday, but I'll answer the second question anyway. The 20oz wristband is much better than the souvenir cup wristband simply because it is free through FUN Perks (instead of paying $5 for it) and doesn't require you to carry a huge cup around all day.

I believe this belongs in the KI Polls section of the forums.

Nice report! SOB announcement at the end of the month, huh? Considering the source, I'd take that with a shaker full of salt.

Each time I've been in the waterpark this year, the new wave pool has seemed (at least to me) to be noticeably warmer compared to Coconut Cove or Splash River. That's a sign of the water being heated. If it was just because it was hot outside, the water in all of the attractions would be warm.

Null vote. I can't compare them because I've never been to a park that numbers its flags.

Fat Lane? Are you saying that people who are overweight must pay extra to ride now?

Great PTR as always! I need to get up there eventually, but unfortunately it will not happen this year.

Sounds like a great trip!

I'm 87.5% to the third star.

There was a time when I was typically up until 4:00 every night. Nowadays, I'm almost always in bed by midnight. Tonight, I need to get to bed within the next 10 to 15 minutes, as I have to be up at 6:00 sharp tomorrow and on the road at 6:30 for a 5K race that starts at 8:00. You, sir, are hopelessly addicted to KIC.

Ah, thank you. Sounds to me like the guest needs a remedial course in Common Sense 101.

There is also a Freestyle machine in the International Street Fudge shop.

I too was at the park yesterday. There was a crane at Delirium; I didn't see them doing anything with it, though I only looked at it once. Drop Tower was operating whenever I looked at it, which wasn't often, as I didn't spend a lot of time in Action Zone. Shake, Rattle, and Roll was listed on the outside sign as non-operational when I arrived minutes before 9:00, but opened sometime in the morning.

^ And for all the enthusiasts who complain about Fast Lane, they forget that it is people like you who only come once or twice a year, not enthusiasts with season passes, to whom Fast Lane is primarily aimed. I'm glad you got good use out of it.

I saw a shirt at the park yesterday that had to have been a custom-printed shirt. It said "Son of Beast First Rider" and gave a date that I assume was the original opening day in 2000, then "Son of Beast First Rider" and gave another date that I assume is when it opened back up sans loop in 2007, and finally "Son of Beast First Rider When It Reopens". I think he's being just a tad optimistic.

^ I can't find it after looking through their page for a few minutes. Can you link it? You can click the timestamp of the main post (not a comment) to get a page with just that post and it's comment thread, from where you can copy/paste the URL into here.

Terpy, you're driving me crazy with the legal disclaimers on your posts. -
I'm aware of the cancellation policies. As for the food festival, a quick Google search told me that it doesn't start until about three weeks after I leave.

*sigh* That Pepsi guy should be careful what he says, lest he lose his job. I would prefer Pepsi. Mountain Dew (which I love) is a staple of the Pepsi lineup and can pretty much be guaranteed to be available at all Pepsi fountains. The Coke equivalent, Mello Yello (which I can't tell the difference between it and Dew), does not enjoy the same status and isn't available at many Coke fountains. It can be frustrating to have to walk halfway around the park to find a stand that sells Mello Yello. That problem would very likely not be present with Mountain Dew.
