  1. There is no need for a war between us, but its the webmasters descision to close this or not. I think : 1: Its going to happen, nothing we can do. 2: It will eat-up time, your opinion or not. 3: Security will be tighter, no debate there. 4: The park will have trouble with some guests. 5: The general public will get used to it, in time. 6: They will be a hassle to large families and parties, no doubt. 7: The park is doing it with the best intentions, wether it delivers or not. The only question is: will it actually make the park safer? Thats your personal opinion and speculation. I think its time that this topic be closed, I do not personnally think it should have been allowed from the start, but nonetheless....it should be closed before any other wars break-out. And besides that, its GOING TO HAPPEN. So, it was a useless topic anyway.
  2. Rivertown and Coney Mall, Action Zone is my least favorite.
  3. That is not true, I know because on opening day I rode Tomb Raider TWICE! Its a fantastic day to go, there aren't a lot of people there and the lines are generally very short. I suggest it!
  4. Thats YOUR speculation and YOUR opinion. That is mine.
  5. I wish I could say it nicer but: your beating a dead horse! You think I didn't already know about all that suff?!?!?!?! I would never be rude to an employee, but I expect the same back. PKI has lasted for 30 years and never had an incident needing forceful action or for the search of all park guests. I am in your minority, I do not think this is correct, I think its a waste of cash, I consider it a hassle, It wastes my time, It wastes your time, and it will certainly not make me feel more secure. I already felt secure at PKI without the metal detectors. I have stated my case, my cause, and will not participate in this conversation anymore. I will not change your minds, but you won't change mine either.
  6. Losing streak, GET A LIFE!! If you want to continue this verbal war, send me a message and I will be more than happy to argue until our teeth fall out. But not on this topic, not in front of everybody. If you are a park employee, then I will be nice, corteous, coporative, and helpful in anyway that I can. But, as for that 75% of employees, if you can't handle those types of jerk guests then leave. I have had verbal fights with fellow guests because they were giving you guys crap! Now, just because I said what I said, doesn't mean I am rude or abusive towards you guys! Its repulsive that you would say that to me. And its that kinda of attitude thats the cause for what I said. You need to view it from the guests eyes and the guests money and the guests time. Instead of the employees eyes and money and time. For you guys, its nothing! your working anyways so who cares how long it takes! But for us, its our pleasure day and our cash. If you do not have the passion for the job, or the want for it. Then work somewhere else. I know its stressfull for you guys, but it sure ruins my day to come into the park and be greeted by a lazy, dazed, and "just in it for the cash" employee that thinks its soo awful that they have to work. I work too, just like you, I give my jobs 100%. And I know its outdated and presumptuous, but I expect to get the same back. Sadly, I rarely do. Especially when I am looking to have a day of fun at the park. *GOLDEN RULE FOR PARK EMPLOYEES*: YOU WANT THE GUESTS TO TREAT YOU BETTER? THEN START TREATING THEM BETTER! *BIBLICAL GOLDEN RULE*: TREAT OTHERS AS YOU WOULD HAVE THEM TREAT YOU
  7. MAN!! i really hope you guys aren't employees!! If you are, then I think I should tell the park that their employees need an attitude adjusment. GEEZ! I am telling you right now, if any cop an attitude like:" deal with it" or "get over it" with me , while i'm in the park, i'll file a complaint. You guys should be much more considerate towards the guests. Thats the only thing I have complained about in the past!! RUDE EMPLOYEES! You have an opinion, state it, but when I pay $84 for a pass to my favorite place on earth, then have an employee go off on me, you will not win. And I will dread having to go through security everytime I go to the park. I talk and have a great time with park employees, many of which know me as soon as I walk up to the ride. I've spent as much as an hour talking to an employee, its a great time. But every now and then, you find one that really frosts your cookies and thats when its innapropriate. Get over it????? No thank you, when you guys "GET OVER" your attitude, I'll think about it.
  8. I agree, a total drag!!!! This was not you best decision PKI...
  9. That sounds very false to me. Security checks NEVER take that long at theme parks, and if it does, the park will do something to shorten the wait time.
  10. Hate to break your heart, but the hundred have already been chosen. I know , because my friend replied to the message and he was denied via e-mail. Oh well, there will always be another chance!
  11. I don't have school, this next week is my spring break.
  12. I won!!!!!!!!!!!!yay!!!!!!!!! I am soo excited! April 4th here I come!
  13. I highly doubt that anyone will have a problem on Delirium.
  14. Sry, I am going on Opening day, ALL DAY!! So I will not be there, i know you all must be upset I cannot come ( said with sarcasm ).
  15. When my friends come with me, they all want to bring backpacks and I do not allow them to. They take up too much time, space and hassle. I say:" if you can't fit it in a pocket, then it goes in a locker, no negotiations" I like to avoid as many unpleasenties as possible. *cough, cough, the day tomb raider cost us $3.50, cough cough*
  16. I am glad that they are taking these precautions, but as a paying guest, I hate having to be screened just in order to visit my Fav. Place. I will probably complain and fill out a sheet sometime this year, because I hate being checked in general. But, I do see the need, however, it is a huge HASSLE!!! No matter how fast they say it will go. This is THE ONLY THING I AM DREADING ABOUT PKI this year. All I have to say is:ohhhhh Mannnnnn!!!!
  17. Centerville, Ohio; Hadley E. Watts middle school. About a 25 min. drive to PKI. No complaints about that.
  18. Bids for that reached up to 250 dollars!!! a seat!!!! Not even I would pay that, but I would rather pay to ride Scooby-Doo for the first time than Delirium.
  19. I dunno where you guys get the impression that Opening day is packed! its practically deserted! I went last year, expecting huge lines and never waited over 10-15 mins. for anything! The specualtion and Idea that opening day is crowded, is wrong. Go opening day, its nice and cool, no-ones there, and you get to go on, what I consider, to be one of the best days possible. That speculation is not true. Just thought I would clear that up, it was really bothering me that everyone said that.
  20. Who cares if flashing lights would cause seizures?? As long as the park posts the safety signs about the use of strobe lights and other effects, then it would be perfectly fine! Tomb Raider AND FoF both have them, and PT did too when it was still standing. Really, once those signs are up, then its your fault if you have a seizure because of it. This means that it will be thought of as : you failed to take the proper personal measures conerning the safety of the ride. Thus, it is your fault! and theoretically, the park could sue you for wasting their time in court of whatever have you. I don't think PKI ever would though, they seem like the kind of people that would be compassionate towards the family.
  21. I never said there would be! geez! I was simply stating a fact that if they WERE to build one and not want tell us, then it could easily be done, and kept under wraps.
  22. The thing that what said about the coaster in 2003 is not necessarily correct. If it was a wild mouse, and it was in the space between it and tomb raider, then there is good chance that we would know nothing about it until the park opened. The pieces could be brought in through the back roads as well as the machinery. SO,....a wild mouse we could find at the park, when it opens, with little to no evidence of it before hand. But, a full sized coaster, is a totally different story.
  23. Tomb Raider and Face-Off
  24. why? A theme park would be a great change, expecially PKI.
  25. Movie musical scores, I love that music. It is still magic to come into the park and here that music. I dunno why, but it just gives me chills, in a good way, everytime I come. ( p.s., no offense to anyone, but I can't stand heavy metal music. Its just screaming at the top of your lungs to a guy in the back playing guitar as hard as he can. )
