I think I saw the other post before it was changed, but I still don't know what a spashdown is.

It appears to be falling by gravity. The link says you won't actually be going up 300 feet, and I hope they let you stop falling at least a few feet before you hit the ground. The drop distance seems similar to our Drop Tower, so the speed will probably be similar too. (315 ft. with 264 ft. drop, at 67mph?) Maybe the larger span from spreading people out will slow it down a few mph? Edit to add: Oops, forgot to mention that I really want to go ride this. -
Green Lantern: First Flight. (SFMM) It felt like I was riding a Rock-O-Plane that wanted to murder me, all without actually turning me upside down.

There was an incident on California Screamin' where a backpack fell onto the track, which set off events that that made the train valley.

Oh, that would be a howler!

There is a special event on June 1, and it is a Saturday. That sounds to me like the park will be very crowded, so if you want to ride as many rides as possible I'd recommend getting a Fast Pass. For the dinos, it is nice if you really like dinosaurs or are still a kid inside. It is just a walking trail with a bunch of fake dinosaurs though.

Mean Streak wasn't rough last year when I rode it. I'm not a fan of the coasters like this that are mostly long straight-track sections which are nothing but slight downward slopes followed by slow turnarounds with a few big drops mixed in at random. It has some speedy moments though, so you might enjoy it.

1-3 usually has one of the shortest lines of any row, because of how the station is set up. All the front row people crowd to the side and create an illusion of long lines for everything near the front.

If the sighting happened a little before 1:16 today, the truck could already be near Kings Island.
-
What kind of truck was it? If it was from R&L Carriers, they might just be driving to that huge trucking place near exit 50. (They say they deliver anything anytime anywhere.)
-
They have a facility in Glen Burnie, MD. I would possibly drive through Columbus if my route was MD to Kings Island.
-
They do have the deals for subs and pizza, although those are really only useful for groups of four. Gold passers get a reduced price on the Backyard BBQ too.

Was it a guest that said that at the park?

I don't think "Smiler Run" is used yet.

The Gatekeeper track scanbar, did you see it once it had already arrived at Cedar Point? While the parts are sitting outside the fabrication plant, they have the sticker that says x-works because of meddling kids. At some point in time, they add a new sticker to it, probably after it has been placed in a secure place for transportation.
-
I remembered reading something about this before...they pretty much say that the stickers will not tell us anything: http://newsplusnotes.blogspot.com/2008/12/scott-carol-present.html "We did have to change the bar code stickers because some coaster enthusiasts started taking pictures of them and posting them on the internet before the park had made their announcement. No more identifying information is on the bar codes"

Something interesting relating to x-works, this pic is on the Flying Over the Rainforest page on rcdb.com. It looks like an x-works sticker under a wing-coaster sticker.
-
Hard to tell from the picture, but the bucket is quite large. I think it is about 230 feet tall.

http://rcdb.com/9114.htm?p=0 Flying Over the Rainforest, at Ocean Kingdom in China looks exactly like that track. Our Ohio plant is supplying the track for them as well.

The 8.13 part - 8 looks like the letter B, and 13th letter is M. Wings on the creature. Possible designer reference is Mantis and Banshee, regarding initial letters... Also due to same designer of Mantis. B&M coasters are usually loud too. Vertical lines could reference the gate, and hint at the name. Meaningful though? Perhaps not so much.

They still do this, as recent as this year.
