Noticed at Kings Dominion yesterday that they tell you to eat in the picinic areas in the parking lot if you are bringing food. Their location is just outside the main gate. Pretty convineient if you ask me.

If I wasn't already shaven and I didn't have to work my 5th double in a row, I would have loved to do it! I have a friend who did it. She won't post a pic of her head though.

SoSR&R coming soon..... Somebody had to. Or maybe its because Vortex is sinking too much and they wanted to get SR&R out of there before it gets swallowed up.
-
I doubt they have a "This ride is permanently closed and will soon be removed" sign.
-
Think about this: If its being removed for good, why would they want to destroy a ride that parts could be hard to get when they have another one just a few hundred miles North that might need parts in the future? Wouldn't make much sense.

My Son is over 54" at Kings Island but not at Cedar Point. Must be the lake effect gravitational pull or something.
-
My Son is 54" and as long as he isn't wearing a 54" wrist band, they allow him to ride with his little sisters.

I got one as well and was just at the Park on Tuesday and my email dies not have any sort if code on it so I am guessing it was a mass email that went to everyone. Sucks that I can't use it!

I am just glad to have done my part in contributing to its rider count. Hopefully my marathoning will pay off well for some lucky person.
-
But you also have to think, Banshee has been added to this side of the park as well and I don't see it drawing much more amprage than Drop Tower does. I am going to guess that Drop Tower uses an H style hoist with dual motors and the motors that lift my 50,000 pound scoreboard are not that big. 40 amp three phase I believe. That's nothing when it comes to a commercial power draw.

4:30 and parks is still dead. Lines? HA! Those are for people who aren't currently here. Chicken Shack done and on to Banshee!

Once they move out of Planet Snoopy and into the bigger rides, its time to pony up and pay the price. Try buying Platinum's for a family with 5 kids. Luckily there was the payment plan!

Cedar Point's New All Day Dining Plan

This is great news! Finally something that isn't fried. -
Not saying they are at all related but CP is building an unknown building as well. http://www.wkyc.com/story/news/features/2014/07/03/mystery-building-under-construction-at-cedar-point/12144007/ May be nothing but just putting it out there.

If the entire thing is up on blocks, I would venture to guess its a decent sized hydraulic problem.

New in 2014 at Cedar Point!

Rode Slingshot with my Son a few weeks ago at KI when it was cheap. While it was a fun ride for a few seconds, I surely wouldn't pay $25 for it. He loved it, I laughed, they got my money. I'm over it. -
Banshee knocks the socks (or bird crap) off of Raptor. Rode Raptor once and that's enough for me. The turn into the final brake run just about knocked my eyeballs out of my head. Vortex, while rough is still a great coaster. Invertigo, nah, would rather watch the paint peel off if it. Live Firehawk. Diamondback, still one of my top coasters. Banshee, like most coasters is a totally different ride in the dark. Give a night ride a try before you write it off.

People visiting the parks are about to embark on a multi mile walk anyway. Whats a couple hundred more feet when it really comes down to it? After eating all of the unhealthy food in the park, the additional steps are good for you.

We have 7 Platinum passes in our family and premium parking wouldn't really do us any good as we like to move our vehicles around during the day. Start off in the wet side parking area then move our vehicle to the dry side parking.By the time we moved to the dry, I am sure it would be full. Same with Cedar Point. We park back in the Soak City lot but rather than move to the front lot, we just stay there. We are already getting one heck of a deal with our passes. Why do people think they should be entitled to even more? We have more than paid for our pases with just going to CP so far this year and it's only June. Throw in the near weekly trips to Kings Island and lets not even include the 10% discount we already get or the season long dining plan. In 30 days, I we are packing up and hitting all of the Cedar Fair parks on the East Coast. All with free admission and parking and if you take into account how much we have saved by having passes, the entire trip is paid for. Provide me a place to park and I will be keep the visits coming!

Looks like it might be a server problem then if it is taking down so many. Only time will tell. Or maybe a park insider.

I could see AZ just fine and since most people flock to over there, it was a good judge of crowds. Same with Banshee.
-
Cedar Point added two "Live view" webcams and took down their entire webcam page. Kings Island has removed all the webcams from their page but the page is still there. I haven't heard anything about KI adding "Live view" cams. So much for being able to judge crowds.

I noticed this too. It kinda kills it a bit. I was always able to time the drop with it.

I shutdown Delirium yesterday because I reported a restraint issue. On the back swing while facing down, my restraint clicked up. On the upswing, I pulled it back down and it did it again. I would rather be accused if being a liar than something happen and knowing that I could have prevented it.Missed the Cirque show due to having to wait around for a supervisor but was able to catch it later. Very nicely done. And the video too!
