Very brief, captivating, fun TR, Brad! Thanks for sharing your night with us. FanofFirehawk, I would reccommend Mysteria and Holiday Horror for "beginner" Haunts. Just remember to have as much fun as possible!

Silver Dollar City 2013 Coaster

Outlaw Run track completed; work in surrounding area yet to be completed. http://silverdollarcity2013.com/journal/ -
I can't believe I did that. I meant this past decade.

Just seeing the picture at the end got me super hyped for this Friday night. Thank you for your efforts, Don.

This place is so wumbo.

I live in a small neighborhood, so everyone knows eachother (it comprises of 3 cul-de-sacs). In my cul-de-sac, everyone comes together on Halloween Night ("Beggar's Night" as it has been called... ) for a bonfire and bring the candy with them to give out there. It's almost useless to decorate the house, although I still do it anyways. I've never invested much in Halloween decor, but I do well with what little I have. I somehow manage to make up newer and better designs each year with the ever diminishing product lineup I own. I'll try and grab a pic later when I actually set up for the season.

^The HUSS rides that have been bought within the last 10 decades have (had) immense downtime issues. The Troika, however, is a much different story.

I was crawling around the Mondial site, looking up information I'm writing an article on about the recent WindSeeker closure. Under second hand rides it listed a Top Scan being "Technically in good shape" I just thought that was interesting how they worded the condition.
-
I was speaking from a publicity standpoint. So many people didn't ride Drop Tower after the KK accident because they thought someone lost their legs on DT rather than Superman. Couldn't you also argue that the popularity of Son of Beast rapidly declined after the 2006 accident? I also believe that in the published article posted by Leland Wykoff it says the brakes malfunctioned. That doesn't sound like it will go over well with the public.
-
Spongebob references? By far, the best board I've seen.
-
Liar liar, plants for hire.
-
This sounds like a widespread case of Son of Beast. This is certainly not good for the Cedar Fair chain as far as publicity goes. When this ride model is in almost all parks, this is very questionable from a park maintenance standpoint and the public's reactions. I am not sure we will see WindSeekers lasting very long, so long as the problems remain.

Sorry, pal. That stuff isn't set up in my bathroom...
-
^You sit in your living room, surrounded by Boomerang Bay towels, simulating you're riding Down Under Thunder?
-
Cedar Fair's projected announcement dates do not constitute anything of significance for Kings Island. "Watch what they do, not what they say."

Quote from KIC's ride page:

Sorry if what I said a few posts up was a bit snarky. The general point I was trying to get across was that these rides are typically up, at least from my experiences. Not once have they gone down when I've visited. In fact, now that I reflect upon my visits, even Space Spiral was operating during each trip. Maybe I'm lucky?
-
Many more people go to Kings Island's Twitter page than their webcam page, yet Don still publishes the photos on Twitter. It's almost as if FUN is trying to promote the demolition. I don't see the harm in putting a webcam on the demolition seeing as how they are already promoting it on a much higher traffic site currently.
-
My question is this: If they are advertising the demolition of their biggest wooden roller coaster via social media, why not have a webcam on their main site?
-
Have you observed the Intamin roller coasters day in and day out for an extensive period of time? If not, it is inappropriate to make generalizations at this point in time.
-
You mean you don't throw the word "donkey" into every sentence? What kind of forum do you run?
-
Why merge? Just lock the old topic. This thread has much more importance on the site and the same pictures are posted here anyways.

Ya know, everything's bigger in Texas.

Is the comedian still by Great Pumpkin in Freak Street? I loved listening to his acts! I hope he stayed. The Haunt crew is the best. They're even better than Racer/Zephyr! I struck up a conversation with a sideshow freak last year, telling me to see Hank at CarnEVIL. My group met up with him later and had a good 15 minute conversation after.

YES. I agree with everything you have said. I'm not sure I would mind the capacity, as much as I would location. If I were to place a beautiful, historic ride, would I like it in a shady enclave or a concrete pad, void of any greenery? Also, wasn't our Flying Eagles removed and installed at Carowinds for no reason?
