Did I mention how great it is to have Don regularly provide information, keeping us updated? If I haven't, it is greatly appreciated.

^^^^1. That's not even a KIC event. 2. That's a lot more people who showed up to the Coasterquest event than did the get together. EDIT: Maybe there would be more interest in the event if someone like Dane was endorsing it? Plus, it has been stated previously that various posters do read every post, for "reasons not germane".

I was listing examples, not keeping it limited to the three.

Folks, notice how Joncars totally disregards everything else besides my quote about a dedicated day. How could I come if my ride bailed on me last minute? Walk? Good one... You couldn't really call that informal gathering an "event", because, as you O Wise One stated yourself, I also don't count "Some KICentral members at the park today." as a great dedicated shout out. You sound like you're complaining about nothing. At least do us all a favor if you feel ever so inclined to complain: Capitalize and use proper grammar at all times. "Just a thought..."

I feel certain that FUN Perks will be around next year. I know I've made an effort to buy a ton of merchandise for my benefit as well as the park's. If I am not mistaken, we have seen a revenue increase this year from FUN, and I do not doubt FUN Perks was a contributing factor. I would expect to see it rolled out to a few other selective parks next year. But I do see it from your perspective, The Interpreter. Anything's possible, I suppose (well, maybe not stapling liquid water to a tree).

Couple of my favorites: Talking about The Racer: Really? What's Boomerang Bay, Splash Works, Water Works, etc...?

This time, I know for certain something about FUN Perks! The rewards do not carry over. On the current FUN Perks offer redemption tickets, they say, and I quote: "Certificate valid ONLY during the 2012 Kings Island park season."
-
I imagine if you renew, your account will carry over. If you get a new pass, you would probably have to renew. The only people who have the true answer to that question is the park. That was a good question! I thought about it the other day, then thought of the reason above.

If a new attraction was placed in the station that formerly housed Son of Beast, it wouldn't be a confusing mess. The reason not many know where Flight Deck is is because of the lack of a beacon that draws the crowd that way. When Son of Beast operated, you would find a train cresting the towering wooden lift hill, with the perilous riders screaming "Hey! A ride's over here! Come over! And you might find a little something next to it!" But now, that area of Action Zone is dead because the GP who only visit the park once a year assume it is just a dead end.

I've seen employees moving boxes via mechanical dollies ( whatever they're called! I don't know! ), getting items staged by The Racer, and of course, the numerous things o mystery by The Crypt.

The operators of the photo booths try their hardest to get only you in the photo, but the software simply doesn't allow for that kind of flexibility. At least I don't think...

Hmm... How to answer this... Well, as a guy, I would have no reference to your specific problem (seeing as how I do not utilize "feminine products" or purses or any of the like), but the men's restrooms' trash cans are also uncovered (for the most part). I don't see a problem with it. But if it bothers you, choose a different sink? I also don't know why you are complaining that you don't have an unsecure place to store your valuable purse...

I would love to see your source for this. I would love for you to read the rest of this thread, where you will find the aforementioned issue resolved.

The location of the damage is the back right corner of the ride chamber... When viewed from The Express.

Maybe this will aid you in your understanding. He paid for a pass that came with certain promised benefits. The park did not give him all of the benefits that he paid for when he bought the pass. He feels that, because he paid for those benefits, the park should give him what it promised. Then, when he attempted to get what he paid for, he got the runaround and never received the benefit he purchased. It's pretty simple really. Since when were these perks offered in October / the beginning of the year? Joncars05, I agree with you that this board and the park for that matter are not perfect. You recognize this fact yourself, yet you insist upon flaming the park for this FUNperks predicament. You must realize this is a new program, and us all are the guinea pigs. Everything is still being tested. By the way, and sorry to end on a sour note, but you in all actuality only submitted something like $75 max to the grand total of $270. To me (and probably the park), you are complaining about nothing. You received the rewards and the park offered you a compensation. And I have no doubt that each representative really tried to resolve your ranting. Tell me that the park didn't try. This sounds on par with The Bat at night's "problem".

You may feel the skyline will be void of a towering wooden structure, but the ambience of surrounding rides will greatly improve. Think about how much better Adventure Express and Flight Deck will be once it's gone.

Hmm. Terpy's employed. -
Watch what they say, not do. Sounds like a diversion to me.

...and then leaves us all on a cliffhanger!Interesting approach on a trip report. I look forward to the complete version.

Diamondback, Firehawk, and Adventure Express are spelled with caps. Do you see me typing "Hey, I went on Diamondback, then Firehawk, and finished off the day with Adventure Express!" ?

I never stated I thought theBEASTUnchained was mccarthysnerd. Just sayin'. It was more of a comparison between the spelling of BEAST.

mccarthysnerd?

Are you sure it isn't the sand that will silent some noise? In all honesty, though, I'm having a lot of doubt that this was a full on Ouimet project. You can't come in to a company, decide you're ripping out 2 rides, remodel the front gate, design and build a new roller coaster (a more rare one, at that--how many wing coasters vs. mega coasters?), and on top of that, get it approved... In 1 year. Unless Ouimet's had his hands in the pockets of Cedar Fair much earlier than we thought...

^Actually, if I recall correctly, the last time water has been recirculating in the splashdown was... 2010? Maybe even '09!
