Well, Taft did the same thing with International Street. Why would the place an early Ohio settlement behind International Street? So out of touch! Each sector of the park has its own identity. Think of how vastly different Action Zone is than Oktoberfest. I think they could add more on to X-Base, so much so that it is has a full identity as a full fledged area, not just a sub section of Coney Mall. EDIT: It hurts me to see that at least one person would rather an Oktoberfest attraction ripped out. ... Unless it's Slingshot. EDIT 2: It further hurts me to find many saying Oktoberfest should be axed.

I don't think an area based on kids murdering eachother for fun sounds like FUN. Also, that newer remake of Willy Wonka and The Chocolate Factory, called Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, is creepy. I much prefer Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory with Gene Wilder than the faux ripoff featuring Johnny Depp.

Sounds like a great adventure has been saved by Flash Pass! Each of these systems have their flaws, but they do serve excellent purposes. Glad you could implement it on your relatively short stay! Glad you and your father had a Six Flags day, and I, too, await your Hershey installment.

^What makes Double Loop and Tennessee Tornado? Also, ones favorite ride may not be another's. Some loved Son of Beast, some loved The Crypt, some love Firehawk, others The Monster. No attraction NEEDS to be taken out (maybe Backlot--but that should be moved to Action Zone and replaced with our rightful replacement of the Flying Eagles), as each fit this park very well. My point is, just because you don't like a ride, doesn't mean it should be ripped out, because it is bound to be someone's favorite.

Will Ferrel is awesome.annoying. Lies! And your quote has been fixed. I agree, Will Ferrel is awful. What am I hearing? Will Ferrel is awesome. You have contradicted yourself with the like I have received from you.

Truly a spectacular park you have visited. I have visited twice in my life, one when I was a wee young lad, and one just before New Year's. Both were experiences I will never forget. In fact, the first roller coaster experience I remember is Blazing Fury. What a spectacular ride with 3 great airtime drops! Fire in the hole! The wooden roller coaster you refer to is a GCI (or is it CCI?) coaster called Thunderhead. I love that ride very much, and it sits up there as number 1 in my wooden coaster rankings. Mystery Mine is great, albeit a bit short. The fire is fun and the theming is spot on for a family park like Dollywood. Where did you eat? Dollywood's food is by far the best I have ever experienced at a park. Did you visit any of the birds in the aviary? I also echo Interpreter when saying you won't be dissappointed by the Smokey Mountain Christmas. It is wonderful--but be warned, many rides will be shut down if it is chilly. Thank you for sharing and letting me view the park through another's eyes!

You wanna go? For Narnia!

I loathe them more than I do Will Ferrel.

Well then I suppose my friend who works in merch is wrong...

Just don't steal fizzy lifting drinks. Because if you steal, fizzy lifting drinks, you lose! You get NOTHING! Et cetera et cetera et cetera, END OF STORY!

16 is for rides. 15, you can work games, food, and merch.
-
The only Fort Kinzel at Kings Island is in X-Base.
-
Maybe you could have half a Fizzy Lifting Drink in the half-office. Sounds safer--just as long as you don't try to sit on half a chair!

What other parks has SonofBaconator visited? I know all CF parks omit the 5 Paramount Legacy parks have Pepsi. Me personally, I could see FUN go PEP instead of Coke because PEP is simply offering better deals as of late. Although I do realize that the current deals are not the only aspect of the diverse spectrum.

Not to rip on VortexBFForever, but don't you think you should post these pictures in the Random Photo of the Day thread?

Has ye ever visited der Point?

If I am not mistaken, something similar was done on Flight of Fear one season. It was gone the next.

Glad you both had a great time! In the picture of IndyGuy and Beastie in The Beast's queue, you can see the red station lights everyone was talking about! Neat effect!

LA Times: Top Ten Roller Coasters At Kings Island
TheCrypt replied to thekidd33's topic in Kings Island
I'm quite familiar with the track layout of The Beast, thank you. Just because the track goes through the tunnel twice does not mean it is 2 seperate tunnels. -

The Beast has 3 tunnels; 1- Base of first drop. 2-turn after the straight section with brakes (brake shed) 3- Double helix. Where are you getting the fourth? Backlot Stunt Coaster is a triple-launch coaster. There is the first launch section as well as the midcourse brakes with the fire. The third one is a little more subtle, and is there to provide a little more speed just in case the MCBR launch didn't provide enough speed. It is placed right before the billboard bust-through, and you can feel and hear the train passing through. Check it out next time! I can't find a good picture. Sorry. -
^That and the part of the map that says "New for 2006: Nickelodean Universe!"
