I have to disagree here. I think adding a B&M Invert or Floorless will bring people back to that area of the park. If I'm part of the general public, I will ride anything that is new even if it is a B&M Invert or Floorless roller coaster. Plus, Kings Island needs a good solid B&M roller coaster no matter what type of roller coaster they bring out. I still am in favor of a Floorless roller coaster.
-
Another way to tell is by the track. Some can tell what new coaster is which just by the track.
-
That looks photoshopped.
-
How do they strap you in for something like this?
-
Wait...Kentucky Kingdom is supposed to make an announcement this year also? I might have to head down there next year if this is a great ride.
-
I'm just getting anxious here and don't care how they ship track pieces. Even seeing supports would be Awesome right now.

Favorite ride at Cedar Point.

Where did you find that promo link? I remember watching that when Millennium Force was announced and it gave me the chills of excitement! Since I rode it back in 2000, Millennium Force has been my #1 favorite roller coaster! -
^ Just don't expect him or her to spill the beans about the project. Maybe though they can tell you about what type of layout they are going with.
-
Excellent decoding there Diamondbacker27! Now all we need is the announcement.
-
^ So Far Kings Island's single most expensive construction project was S.O.B which is now defunct. If this ride does become the single largest in History for the park, then this means they are totally redeeming themselves.
-
^ Secondson, did you see my response to you on the last page?
-
^ secondson, just wanted to comment on your thoughts here. - The red outlined area for the second image is the currently known construction area for KI Project 2014. As you can see, a B&M invert is very capable of taking up a lot of land. And don't forget....this is most likely a custom design, which means an invert could very well spread out to fill the red area in the second image, if not extend beyond it. ^ I like that Idea, and I hope they go this route. If they go further than that, they have the chance to make the world's longest Inverted or Floorless in the World.

Travel Channel fans: CP ranked # 1, KI #7.

Vortex Gives Its 40 Millionth Ride Last Saturday
Shawn Meyer replied to BoddaH1994's topic in Kings Island
Now that Vortex has reached this milestone, please don't remove this legend. -
Does anyone think that Cedar Point could be moving Mantis down 71 to Kings Island so they can add another B&M such as a Floorless?
-
Don't be shy buddy. I would love to see a Floorless come to Kings Island! That's what I'm rooting for! However, I wouldn't mind seeing an Invert either.
-
Oh Please let it be a Floorless! I would be so happy if Kings Island gets a Floorless!
-
^ I think it will get more interesting if there is still no announcement and supports start going in. Remember how Maverick at CP wasn't announced until around August of 2006?
-
Maybe as we get closer to August, hints and teasers will come along. For now, it's fun watching all the new footers pop up like flowers in the spring time.
-
Even though SOB is long gone, I was just curious to anyone on here if they know or not what happened to all the wood from SOB? Bonfire? Recycled into paper maybe?
-
Looking forward to it....although I tend to think the lift hill will head out in the other direction. But I'd still like to see what you come up with. If that indeed is how the layout is to be, then that looks very similar to how Raptor starts out.
-
I keep hearing rumors that Congo Falls might get moved to another section of the park? Has anyone else heard this rumor?
-
It still could very well be a Floorless, but with the same footprints that other people have posted on here.
-
I cannot find who said this, but someone mentioned that more footers were about to poured over in the SOB area. Whoever that is, could you please respond to this please?
