Probably just running two trains because of low ridership. I've noticed this too. Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk

When I rode in the second row last night, I had an extremely good ride. Second time, fourth row, was a bit rougher but still not unbearable. This might be a difference between the trains.

I consider myself very lucky that I got to ride Son of Beast 3 times before its closing. All 3 came 3 days before its final operating date. What a ride. Still to this day, it is my favorite wooden coaster I've ever ridden. Rough, yes, but it had its great moments. I was sad to see it go, and its too bad that its construction was so rushed.

I'd just be watchful for Delirium, Flight of Fear, Backlot Stunt Coaster, and Drop Tower. You should definitely be good on the woodies, even Mystic Timbers. Good luck! Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk

I agree with electricsun on that. As for BLSC, you should be fine as the restraints are the same as Flight of Fear. Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk

Drop Tower will definitely be a tight fit, just due to your height. Other than that, you should be good. Good luck!

Mystic Timbers Shed aging (Warning Shed Spoiler)
tuxedoman52 replied to MaestroJr's topic in Kings Island
I would actually go the route of saying not only the shed will be kept up as this will be a top ride for MANY years to come, and also say that we could see improvements to the shed as more and more technology is available. I'm fine with whatever route they go as long as it doesn't kill capacity. Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk -
I waited the full 240 minutes that they estimated on the dot. Got in line at 6:14 and got on at 10:14. However, there was about an extra hour of waiting because of the downtime MT was experiencing. Once I got on though, WOW! What a ride. There was absolutely no letting up from the top of the lift hill all the way into the shed. Definitely a great ride and very rerideable.

If they aren't Millennium Flyers, I don't know what they are. Certainly not PTC's. Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk

There's the train on the lift hill. Been in line an hour now. Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk EDIT: The ride is now running.

Definitely a jump cut. TPR's video that they posted this morning does the same thing, so there must be something that happens outside the shed or you see something in the shed when you're stopped on the brake run.

Where would've Dominator gone without doing some serious landscaping or the removal of a ride back in 2007?

What are Kings Islands Plans after Mystic Timbers?
tuxedoman52 replied to louisvillecards1's topic in Coming Attractions
Oh for sure! Kings Island owns a bunch more land. The question is, are they really going to use it? I can see adding a roller coaster that goes back through that area and uses the land, but expanding the park much more is pretty improbable to me. -
I've never hated Vortex. It holds a (somewhat) special place in my heart. It wasn't my first inverting coaster, but it's what got me to love going upside-down to begin with. I remember when I was 9, my friend kept dragging me to go on it but I wouldn't, but I finally gave in and did it. It wasn't anything to write home about. However, two years later, a different friend this time convinced me to give it another go and I went for it, and fell in love. I think I rode almost every single coaster with inversions in the park that day. Good thing this happened then, because just two months later I took my first trip to CP. I am very glad I didn't go to CP for not-inverting roller coasters only, that would've really sucked. My only tip for riding Vortex is to keep your head against the right side of the OTSR during the final helix. There's a spot in the helix where your head shakes back and forth, and I know your head gets thrown to the left first. I also know that being 5'6"-5-10" will most likely kill your ears. Luckily I was taller than that by the time I was 12 and started riding Vortex regularly.

That Giga above looks pretty good to be honest. I absolutely love the location and how it seems to go through half the park. I just wish it had a better layout and kinda meandered around the last bit. On another note, I've been thinking about a possible Giga coming to KI. It could be back in the DA area but just a simple but fun and intense Out & Back layout. For this concept, I was actually thinking about the manufacturer being Morgan. It would also be the tallest Giga and longest coaster in the world. Morgan proved already that they're willing to set records, so seeing a coaster like this would be great. This would give KI the longest steel and wooden roller coasters in the world. *HIGHLY UNLIKELY*

Wasn't the paint job in 2001 a deeper shade of blue than had ever been on Vortex?

Adventure Express, 4.75/5 Backlot Stunt Coaster, 2.5/5 Banshee, 5+/5 Beast, 5+/5 Bat (current), 5/5 Diamondback, 5+/5 Firehawk, 5/5 Flight of Fear, 5/5 Flying Ace Aerial Chase, 3/5 Great Pumpkin Coaster, 1.5/5 Invertigo, 3/5 Mystic Timbers, 5/5 Racer, 4/5 Son of Beast, 5/5 Vortex, 3/5 Woodstock Express, 2/5 Just because multiple rides got 5s for me, doesn't mean they're as good as other 5s. I love some rides a lot more than others do, I suppose.

1. Never riding recaR 2. Not riding SoB (rode it 3 times on a night a couple days before it closed permanently) 3. Never riding The Crypt/TT:TR

Xtreme Skyflyer to the pond by Viking Fury. I think it would be really cool swinging down on top of the water, plus it would be right next to SlingShot. Keep all the up-charge attractions in one place. On the other hand, it would make room to expand the path by Banshee if they wanted to ever use SoB's station for a new roller coaster.

I recommend building up a resumé too by maybe getting a fast food job when you turn 14. Anything that helps your resumé will only increase your chances!

How much Longer does Racer and Beast have before they break down?
tuxedoman52 replied to Xdog42's topic in Kings Island
Racer: 2022 - Closing Beast: RMC'd in 2029 - Yes, not every coaster is RMC'd, but Beast would be an excellent coaster to do it on IMO. -

My laptop is not fancy at all and I've had no trouble with Planet Coaster so far. I highly recommend having a mouse because the scroll button is very helpful. -
Blue and Yellow. Greatest combination of colors IMO.
