What coasters have cameras that take a picture?
tuxedoman52 replied to Blackhole6670's topic in Kings Island
Flight of Fear did have a camera, until they realized that the LIMs actually wipe the pictures off of the computer as they were being taken. -
Inside the Demise of the Record-Breaking Coaster That Went Too Far
tuxedoman52 replied to Oldiesmann's topic in Kings Island
The only 3 times I rode it were exactly 3 days before SoB shut down for good. It's crazy to think that the final factor in closing the ride (May 31st) happened before I rode it (June 13th). Son of Beast was a mean ride, rough, fast, and all around great ride. I wish I would've ridden it sooner, but I'm glad I did get the chance to ride. -
Can't imagine a coaster in that area; the station would have to be at X-Base because of heavy traffic if they put it by Banshee.

Which coaster do you want to come next.
tuxedoman52 replied to Beasttamer's topic in Coming Attractions
Wasn't necessarily relating the coaster to the Dinosaurs Alive! attraction, but I do think that could be a good idea if Dinosaurs Alive! is still around. -

Hear me out here, I think a B&M Terrain Wing Coaster would be an excellent edition. I think that a nice mix of inversions and quick turns that weave through the woods back by Dinosaurs Alive! would make for an excellent coaster. -
I rode Flying Ace Aerial Chase this year...and was not questioned. Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk

2015 KIC Off Season Poll Series Week I: Last Ride of 2015
tuxedoman52 replied to BB1's topic in KI Polls
Last ride was Diamondback because it was open til 9, but I got on the last train (lights on) on FoF for the 4th straight year. -
I notice that on KI's website, there are "maximum heights" for some rides (mostly on rides with OTSRs or inverted coasters). I no longer ride Drop Tower (80" Height Limit) because it is extremely uncomfortable. I can still bear Invertigo (78" Height Limit) but it cause some pain in my shoulders. My question is, are these actually EVER enforced? Or are they just warnings for the comfort of the height inclined. Personally, being 6'6" is definitely uncomfortable on some rides, but I've only ever been kicked off of one ride (Wicked Twister). I've never had anyone measure me because they can tell I might be over the "height limit".

Saw Gary around 7:15 on Diamondback last night. I have seen him many of my 111 times aboard Diamondback. I actually have a rare picture of the only time my mom rode, with my friend and Gary sitting in the row behind us.

Can't go to a single amusement park without cargo shorts! It should be a law. Cargo shorts are the best way to go if you want to keep your stuff safe and secure.

Can't wait to see that video of Banshee and Diamondback!

Do changes to a coaster/ride qualify it as new?
tuxedoman52 replied to SonofBaconator's topic in KI Polls
You could have a friend hit you upside the head with a baseball bat repeatedly for about two minutes.... No thanks, Terpy. EDIT: The lap bars they have now are painful enough. -

No, I had not rode FoF with OTSRs considering I was not born yet . -

New restraints on FoF, still the same ride. Converting a stand-up to a floorless (Rougarou), it is really the experience that changes even though the track design doesn't change. -
Could you be talking about Mean Streak? Just kidding of course, and yes I know it was '91 not '92.

It would be nice to see a waterpark expansion. However, I would hope they wouldn't put in one of those drop-the-platform slides because those seem to be really popular right now. I want to see something new and unique.

The 7 Amusement Park Wonders of the World

I'm wondering if they meant 250 kilometers per hour. I don't know if that would even be close to the conversion of 149 mph. -

My parents, my friend, and I all got in the car Sunday night and headed for Sandusky. We stayed in the Maui Sands "resort". Before I talk about Cedar Point, I have to talk about this hotel. I highly suggest not staying there. It's old. run-down, and the doors from the outside to the inside were unlocked the entire night. Not to mention that they had to do repairs on the waterslides from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. today. The lifeguards seemed completely uninterested. Anyway on to the visit. Here is a rundown of everything I did today: *Note: I did purchase the Fast-Lane Plus wristband for my visit. Ocean Motion Millennium Force Rougarou (This easily is in my top 5 favorite rides now. I was so impressed of what they made an average ride into!) Maverick (Love the new restraints) Mean Streak (Very painful as usual) Maverick Magnum Corkscrew Tried to ride Wicked Twister but I was too tall for those OTSRs Gatekeeper Raptor (While waiting in line, I noticed that somehow I had ripped my pants. It wasn't a small hole either. I predict that this happened on Magnum, Corkscrew, or Gatekeeper.) Immediately after Raptor, my friend and I moved onto getting lunch since it was 2:00 p.m. by this point. I called my mom on the way over to Pink's and asked her if she could get me some new pants from the hotel. My Dad ended up wanting to leave after his experience on Mean Streak (his first roller coaster in 10 years) and was glad to go back to the hotel to get me some new shorts. Millennium Force (Met up with my Mom so I could get my shorts) Tried to ride Rougarou but it was broken down Tried to ride Top Thrill Dragster but is was broken down Millennium Force Iron Dragon WindSeeker Dodgem's Gatekeeper Extreme Sports Show WindSeeker We had dinner at the Cool Joe's Cafe. I had the same thing I had at Pink's and it was just as good. Top Thrill Dragster Skyhawk Gemini Rougarou WindSeeker Gatekeeper (We got in line at about 9:55. It immediately broke down and stayed that way until about 10:20 when they sent 3 test runs. Still, no one was able to ride. At about 10:35, two mechanics showed up and went into the operator's booth. They sent one test run and that was all they needed to see. They were finally letting people back on after about 40 minutes. My friend and I ended up being on the last train of the night because everyone behind us in line gave up. This was at about 10:55. After the ride we sprinted to the front gate because we knew my parents were not happy. We got back our hotel at 11:30 and just couldn't stop talking about how awesome our day was.

Best Cedar Point night ride?
tuxedoman52 replied to thegajone's topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News
I rode Gatekeeper for the last ride of the night last night (after it was down for 45 minutes). I thought is was pretty good especially seeing all of the colorful rides while going through the keyhole inversion. Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk
