  2. I mean I can guarantee that too, but until the park makes an official statement or lineup I guess someone could argue otherwise. I-Street, Rivertown, Planet Snoopy, and Oktoberfest are my guesses.
  3. I found this on RMC's faq and thought I'd share https://www.rockymtnconstruction.com/faqs.php Would you ever or have you ever thought of designing a wooden coaster with a look like Son of Beast? Owner Fred Grubb and engineer Alan Schilke are always collaborating and figuring out how to create the most innovative coasters. They have many new ideas that are in the research and design process now. Again, unfortunately, we cannot provide any additional details until one of the designs is sold to a park as they will want to do the initial press release.
  4. I feel like they're going to continually build on the story by adding more props every now and then. This would actually work since Ghostbusters came out in the 80's. Might I suggest Thriller as well. Maybe the park will see this and they could change the audio.
  5. Plus if KI gets a giga, they won't have to add anything huge for a couple of years and can focus on smaller things like more flats and family rides.
  6. Two things They can build a low to the ground hyper They could go for a Dive Coaster that hits exactly 200ft
  7. I agree that we need more grandma and grandpa rides!
  8. This is a video from CGA and has nothing to do with Kings Island but look at how cool this looks! Plus the logo at the end looks oddly familiar.
  9. Such as? I'm not bashing your opinion by any means but I'm interested to know what demographic gaps Kings Island has
  10. I expect to see some type land clearing similar to what we saw in the summer of 2016. Will there be construction similar to 2016?- that's open for debate, but its easy to speculate that the dinosaurs will be removed from the area before next season's opening.
  11. I would love an X-Base expansion but you are forgetting that there are maintenance buildings that reside between the current X-Base and Dinosaur's Alive. This would mean that expansion would have to work around these buildings. That being said, it would make more sense to expand X-Base to the open plot of land between Flight of Fear and Racer or to just relocate the maintenance buildings to another site and expand there. A hotel would be nice but that wouldn't be a good location. Its in the middle of a wooded area and even if the land was cleared its really far back. I don't think Kings Island is the resort type of park like it used to be. It's main attendance is from people are within a two hour radius- basically driving distance to the park. Cedar Point needs a resort because it's main source of attendance are from people who come from literally all over the country and even the world. People are more willing to spend a lot of money on a nice resort or hotel because Cedar Point is a vacation spot. Kings Island is more of a local park. Plus, Kings Island and Great Wolf Lodge are pretty close partners so I don't think they would build a hotel. This is the most likely speculation. Despite what people think, Dinosaurs Alive has experienced consistently low attendance since it's debut in 2011. Plus Kings Island has a habit of tearing down unpopular attractions to build new thrills- Son of Beast and Thunder Alley for Banshee, Snoopy's Splash Dance for Woodstock Gliders and Snoopy's Space Buggies, the extremely long and inconvenient line on White Water Canyon for Mystic Timbers, etc. I don't think Winterfest would be a good idea IMO. The terrain can be steep at times and could get icy and slippery. Pus there's no guarantee that that specific part of the park will be open for Winterfest.
  12. There are a couple of coasters in the industry that would benefit from a little extra theming. Despite what you think of the shed, (I personally like it), you can't deny that it adds to the ride experience; the same can be said for Adventure Express. I'm not saying these coasters are bad, but I think that having an ending scene would enhance the ride experience. To me, the only coaster that comes to mind is The Bat. I always thought it would be cool to have an ending scene like an old barn or a cave. This is all rhetorical of course. Thoughts?
  13. I think a Gravity Group woodie like Timber! would be a perfect fit
  14. If many of you didn't know, before there was Big Thunder Mountain there was Nature's Wonderland. Nature's Wonderland was a motorized train ride through the Californian Wilderness. I wish themed rides like these would make some type of comeback, but for now I'll just be grateful we have Knott's.
  15. I'd thought I'd bump this thread for future seasons instead of making a whole new thread. I'd bring back the train and put a live show outside the western town so there could be 6 passenger car operations and take off the wait of the other attractions. The ride would be themed to the late 1800s and include a lot of affects and actors. I'd bring back Work Site and other past Fear Fest attractions. Also, I'd do something to Boo Blasters similar to how Phantom Theater used to be a Fear Fest attraction. I always thought it would have been awesome if the park designed Boo Blasters with the intentions of altering it for Halloween time. I'd do something along the lines of more props and actors that hide throughout the course of the ride. The music would be changed and there would be a significant change in props. Finally, I'd make a haunted attraction solely themed to the Phantom Theater with the old music and audio.
  16. Can that 80% of effects ever be brought back or has the ride changed so much that it can never be brought back to its original look?
  17. Where was the mouse during the ride? The prop room?
  18. Holy thread bump! Does anyone have old pictures of the mouse? I only rode Phantom Theater once in my life and that one time I recall seeing a huge mouse
  19. While looking at old pictures on my iPad I found this. Notice the "Cincinnati and Toledo" on the tender which I assume payed homage to the narrow gauge "Toledo, Cincinnati, and St. Louis Railroad" @kimv1972 Do you have any information on this?
  20. Personally, the current PTC trains feel extremely narrow. I love how Millennium Flyer trains give you room to stretch your arms and "relax."
  21. I think the park needs some new unique flat rides. Rides like monster, dodgems, the carousel, and the scrambler can be found at festivals, fairs, as well as any other amusement park. I'd love to see rides like a top-spin, soaring timbers, lumberjack, witches wheel, etc.
  22. I completely agree with you, but why wait so long to announce it?
  23. This is a legitimate mightmare I had last night. Six Flags bought KI and I was screaming "NO" at the top of my lungs.
