  1. In light of Six Flags announcing their 2018 line up, I decided to bump this thread. Action Zone would be themed entirely to DC. Invertigo would themed to Wonder Woman, Banshee would be themed to Bizarro and later repainted and rethemed to Superman, and The Bat would be named Batman the Ride. Drop Tower would be renamed Drop of Doom, Delirium would be named Harley Quinn's Spinsanity. Congo Falls would be removed for a 4d freespin named the Joker. Coney Mall would turn into Bourbon Street and the whole section would be a Mardi Gras theme. Racer would get RMC'd. WindSeeker would be renamed some generic Six Flags name. Vortex would be removed. BLSC might just stay the same. The rest of the flats would either be named after a DC character or given a cloned name. Firehawk would be renamed X-flight and Flight of Fear would stay the same. Diamondback would be the same but the colors would fade. The Beast would be neglected, and the theme in Mystic Timbers would slowly die. There'd probably be a really bad flat put in the section somewhere. Planet Snoopy would turn into Looney Tunes land with really off colors and dance parties. Boo Blasters would most likely be turned into a Battle for Metropolis ride. Oktoberfest would perhaps stay the same. Operations would be long as well as the lines. VR would come to a lot of the rides increasing ride time and all the roller coasters would have some type of advertisement on them.
  2. It's great! They don't have to be original at all. They just clone all their rides and give them all the same names since being creative costs money.
  3. Beat me to it! It's a better release than last year. Cedar Fair's still gonna knock it out of the park in the 2018. I honestly hate how the Six Flags company releases all their new rides at once as compared to Cedar Fair or even Busch Gardens where each park can make their own individual announcement when they see fit.
  4. If you could reimagine the Mystic Timbers playlist, what would it be? Mine would be: 1.) Hooked on a Feeling- Blue Swede 2.) Never Gonna Give You Up- Rick Astley 3.) Come a little bit Closer- Jay & the Americans
  5. I agree with @Shaggy on the re-theme of Adventure Express 100%. I love going to Oktoberfest but I feel put off when I hear Mexican music playing at the burrito shack. A small flat would be a step in the right direction, a re-theme of AE, and possibly a new coaster in the future. I always thought that the area between AE and the Coke building would make a great ride pavilion and a coaster could fit in the land that's surrounded by FOF, Racer, and AE.
  6. It would be awesome if they converted Hank's Burrito Shack into a dinning area similar to the new smokehouse in Soak City.
  7. Valravn broke a ton of records when it came out, however a lot of them can easily be broken by another park of they chose to build one. Never the less Kings Island is big on length. We already have two length record breakers with Banshee and The Beast so I could see the park getting "The World's Longest Dive Coaster." Should the park ever get one, and I hope they do, I would like to see one that exceeds well over 4,000 ft in length.
  8. I really like Dive Coasters, preferably made by B&M. It amazes me how such a huge coaster can fit into tight spaces and still deliver a punch. I would love one to come to KI but I know we won't get one anytime soon since Valravn is four hours away. Maybe Kentucky Kingdom or Holiday World could install one considering they're fairly cheap compared to other coaster models.
  9. You can quote two posts without having to make multiple posts
  10. Bumping the thread. Have you ever noticed that KI has a ridiculous amount of in-park space that they can use to add a new ride without really taking an existing attraction out? Crypt building and behind Tower Gardens Space surrounding BLSC Space behind International Showplace Flight Commander spot Space between Racer, FOF and Adventure Express
  11. Racer doesn't need to be touched by RMC, none of our wooden coasters do, plain and simple. Mean Streak and Hurler were not popular rides at all so they could get the RMC treatment. Racer is too legendary. If RMC can install topper track without hurting the wooden integrity of the coaster then great, but I'd rather see a compact, ground up, RMC before I see a conversion.
  12. You know what ride needs a single rider line? Railblaizer I'll see myself out
  13. I wanted to go with the wing concept. I'm not a fan of the straight section of track after the loop though
  14. I'm bumping this thread, that's what I'm going to do. I want to take this Wing concept I found online and make it a coaster at KI named Screamin Demon http://www.themeparkreview.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=1707051
  15. Also how much of the park will be open? If certain sections are closed off, then one would cancel out the possible rides to be open. If you look back at 2005, the four sections that remained open were International Street, Oktoberfest, Nickelodeon Universe, and Rivertown. I highly doubt that Action Zone and Coneymall/X-Base will be open because of staffing. I could be wrong though. My twelve rides would be Kings Island and Miami Valley Railroad Mystic Timbers Grand Carousel Boo Blasters Great Pumpkin Coaster Charlie Brown's Windup Sally's Seaplane Snoopy vs Red Baron Woodstock Express Viking Fury Kite Eating Tree Woodstock Wirlybirds
  16. @Thrill_Biscuit can predict the future http://thrillbiscuitsblog.blogspot.com/search?updated-max=2016-06-27T17:44:00-07:00&max-results=7
  17. I was just browsing the trademark site and came upon this- https://www.trademarkia.com/the-ledge-87431876.html I wouldn't over speculate too much since Centurion still hasn't been used yet but its still interesting.
  18. True, but the GP doesn't really know to strictly ride the red side as an enthusiast would. Maybe it varies from person to person
  19. If you look closely at Kings Island, they tend to be behind on the times. When Ouimet came along, and maybe even before that, I started to see a trend in coasters. The invert craze was in the late 90s/early 2000s and there wasn't a ton of huge installations of B&M invert until 2014 with Banshee. Three years later we get a GCI woodie in the form of Mystic Timbers, again a little behind the trend of GCI installs where it was in the mid to late 2000s with Prowler, Thunderhead, Renegade, etc. And look more recently as Cedar Fair has pumped out 3 gigas in the early 2010s and we haven't seen even plans for one since 2015. Maybe I'm just being a conspiracy theorist but I like to believe that KI goes behind the curve and makes world class rides that dominate the others. I believe Banshee and Mystic Timbers are arguably the superior rides of their classes currently and you can argue with me if you want. What am I saying? I feel like Kings Island chose to wait on a giga for when the craze dies down to set itself apart, so if and when it does get a giga, it'll be one of a kind and incomparable from other rides similar to what Banshee and Mystic Timbers have done.
  20. Gravity Group did some track work for Rebel Yell in the past. Since GG is right down the road, it would seem like a no brainier to bring them in- especially now that we have a smooth GCI, Racer is going to appear more rough
