  1. I am surprised however I'm not that they don't allow that policy. I'm sure someone has said that, lied, and carried the object or had it stored on the station to cause that rule to change. However I'll take a bag and wait at the exit for those riding. I'd love to be able to swap out and ride after waiting with said objects but I know that'll never happen.
  2. The Ferris Wheel in the background too..lol And the huge fence smash
  3. I'd laugh so hard if a soccer ball crossed the fountains and onto the midway Also if someone gets them IN the fountains..they deserve a prize IMO lol
  4. I lol'd so hard when I saw the Pointe article..You think that's bad, check this out. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Wg6yjL_D_eQ
  5. ^^Glad I could introduce you to the show haha
  6. I was ganna say, I may take a challenge, we'll shave our heads willy nilly..but this is a weird record haha.
  7. Just..wow But yes tremendously good cause. If I didn't have a PT test that morning I'd go, shaving my head doesn't bother me.
  8. How is shaving heads a record? Lol I sometimes never understand Guinness World Records.
  9. See Pointbuzz for quick and easy answers, and an assessment from someones opinion I highly respect. Looks like the fitting up top came loose and detached, the cable didn't snap off, but moreover looks as if it came off and under a 60mph ride, whiplashed the ground. And the one reporter that honestly has made me lose so much respect for the news...
  10. You do realize that they do provide some of THE safest rides ever built. S&S towers are so beautifully redundant you don't even realize. This accident is a huge what the heck kind of fluke. The fact that cable actually held enough tension to do this even surprises me. The ride had a failure, the ride was e stopped and did everything as intended (trust me, would you want to have a swinging cable, then e stop from 60mph to 0 quickly, probably would make it worse), and then crews responded very well. If Skyhawk survives this which I hope it really does, I will certainly ride it again... In regards to updates for the patients or ones treated, those details can't always be revealed without consent of the patient. Even saying one was taken to a local hospital, notice they did not give a name/status/etc. HIPPA lawsuits are easy to start, and usually never end well for those providing care. Many times the violations are not actual neglect, but acidental or unintentional. However, a violation is still a violation. Just know, one was treated on scene using BLS (Basic Life Saving) skills, and was released, so very VERY minor injuries. Another was taken to a local hospital, so as a medic to me that means they needed diagnostic proof of something that they suspect may have happened to that patient, or to finally rule out that it never happened, but covering their rears. Neither patient sustained any injury that has caused severe harm, I can def. state that. Were there injuries and probably a pretty scary incident for those involved, oh I'm sure. However, everything that needed to happen to keep everyone safe post accident happened flawlessly and as quick as possible
  11. DB is rough in some seats, however those I attribute to VERY worn wheels. Me & Dane rode together on the CC day. You could even see the wheel bogie moving left and right up the lift hill due to unevenly worn wheels. Some seats yes have been fantastic. DB is much better than what it was last season towards the end, that was a miserable ride, I mean it was actually causing me to be sore.
  12. DB doesn't run down the line..however if they did... I think you know where I'm going with this Y'all make this too hard, figure out total trip time for one train from train park to park, or the average. Figure out how many dispatches that train could have in an hour, multiply by two, then how many seats. That's the rides capacity for that hour. Then you just need to subtract any seats.
  13. Vortex...71...totes
  14. Standards now require however this was built prior It's somewhat harsh but the way the individual worded it almost makes it seem as if they just let it go Willy nilly.. By the time e stop was pressed..I guarantee park op, maintenance, and first aid were all contacted and headed on scene
  15. I may come down today for shows and stuff for a tad if any other KICers wanna hang out
  16. The Ride kept swinging..no duh..the ride was e stopped and that knocks out all power and there aren't brakes.. Idiot
  17. No..all rides go down in storms like that..
  18. Lindz has said that that is the first time in five years that it has been struck by lightning in season while the park is running
  19. Fence may have been removed for access to ride after e stop..more details later, much still pending. All will be known possibly later if this is indeed am accident, the Dept of Agriculture will be involved
  20. You didn't answer the question V/R
  21. You'll soon find out I'm sure
  22. Wish KIC could get it's own Banshee Bash or private deal..I tried on my end this year to bring some stuff to KIC to no avail unfortunately..I'll keep pressing. Being the parks most dedicated and enthused group I'd love to work with the admins & park to bring y'all something awesome.
  23. Ah my first coasters out of BMT & into my tech school.. I do slightly miss that park
