Well there you have it...basic rendering...ta daa
-
There's alot that that rendering got wrong, including other ride colors (See the Eiffel Tower) For instance in the rendering: No true floor drop No catwalks to the lift hill No feed wheels prior to lift No lift hill cameras No proxies along the whole ride No catwalk under the middle of the lift hill Support between the middle support to hold the stairs/railing/catwalks Concrete footers not shown how they were actually poured (see triangle footers) Painted bolts/Studs matching ride color I believe the floor on the brake run isn't grated (can't confirm this last one) It's a basic rendering, it was meant to just show off the ride and get hyped up for 2014..that is all
-
^That's similar to an invert's evac system... There is a small platform at the base of the lift (in raptor's POV @ 10 sec) that can go all the way up the lift (follows the catwalk) until lift crest. It's motor is below the platform (can see in the queue). In the case of evac, the platform goes up under the ride, the railing raised, restraints for one row unlocked, and guests take the small platform to the stairs and then down. I may be able to get more stuff from a few friends who worked Raptor and one still there...So gimmie a bit to follow up, but here's a pic from another B&M ride, showing the platform up the catwalk
-
The ride was forgetting alot in the renderings it was basic look in between the middle supports for the lift hill for the structure to support the stairs & stuff. It also didn't show the evac system at the lift base, ect. There will be a grate there last thing you need is a shoe or something getting dropped there and falling into the queue/ect.

Please someone record his scream..or whatever happens Again most males sound like it's either their mating call, or showing who number 2 works for

Eh...I've still taken it to get a great view of the point and to see some houses You know you have money when your house has a garage for your boat -

You can drive on it to cp however...but adds about 10 min to your drive. Plus it's only a two lane road, so getting to the point that way is a waste -
^I was wondering when you knuckleheads would notice...you seemed excited and enthhsiastic in your first post! You're not a politian no taking back words here ;-)
-
I hate to be that guy...but that practically wipes out half of everything in the park...and I really don't think that structure is meant to handle launched trains and their weight towards, up, and down it

Also charging average burger joint prices for sub average food for minimum wage or less international and college employees... So glad to see changes
-
They can...but you have to think...it's almost the end of the season and if the wheels aren't failing or about to fail there's no need to replace them. Plus I'm sure these wheels are hella expensive...their size alone makes the price jump I bet
-
Some arrows have supports that are bolted but yes for the most part they used to weld everything The ride was literally built on site..hand bent steel rails welded to the rail supports, them the rail supports are then welded to the central spine and then that to the support that goes to the foundation Now it's all am erector set

I'm betting combine GK & Raptor's station, looks to be what you're getting... Also pic did work that Malem posted & the person under him (food coma, not scolling up lols) But darn, that first drop is going to be very very impressive...and I'm ganna miss every bit of it for awhile Poo

Columbus Day weekend..avoid it like the plague.. Now I hate to be that guy, but I won't divuldge the certain days that are usually perfect as when people start saying things like "hey use the resort gate, ect. the secrets get lost. I remember in '10 & '11..That gate was barely packed and a very small running of the bulls and very easily able to ride Maverick/Millie 3 times or so...Now..that gate does get crowded, even the Marina gate now too.. I will say this though....Fri, get your marathoning in, Saturday do small stuff or things people don't normally go for (tiques, waveswinger, CCMR, gemini, ect..Get in line for the haunts early, and do the walkthroughs outside. Sunday just do haunts, ride this and that but haunts you can marathon easily

Kinzel's biggest mistake was being an arrogant and ignorant Mr. Kinzel -
They are somewhat expensive though...I'm only taking a guess but I'm thinking GK has 72 wheels on it...times that by the price for new poly wheels...maybe bearings too...it does add up. One of my maint. guys was replacing a hub and poly one morning and he told me one of the road wheels on my ride cost about 250 for a poly, not counting the hub bearing replacement if necessary. My ride has 70 wheels (28 of them being road wheels) so just multiplying that 250*28=$7000 bucks, just for all road wheels to be replaced, not counting the upstop and guide wheels. So it can get pricey..plus my wheel diameter and width is much smaller than B&M wheels, esp. their road wheels

Probably needs new wheels or a small correction....Think media day/opening month...butter smooth...just has progressively gotten worse. Looking at the wheels compared to opening day too btw, I mean they really do look worn, They were flat wheels when I rode them and my second trip not too much, but now the wheels have a groove as deep as the ones on TTD's trains
