I'm thinking Don read this post and is toying with us with his tweet about The Bat. But I never mentioned The Bat. Don's tweet could just be a Kings Island history flashback. Yeah I don't think his tweet has anything to do with 2014. Just a possibility he read that and is having some fun. More than likely you're right though. Here's something I found I thought was interesting: [Originally posted by Vortexfan May 28, 2012] Sorry I'm on a tablet and this is the best I could quote it. " Leviamania was definitely a huge success. Thanks to everyone that attended. It was a bit hard to hear at times, so I wanted to share this tidbit of information from the Q&A (Norm, Park GM): Canada's Wonderland was meant to get a B&M inverted intead of the Vekoma SLC model! The deal was ready to be signed HOWEVER, Cedar Point had an exlusivity deal that B&M could not build another invert with 200 miles (as the crow flies) of the park. Canada's Wonderland is at the 198 mile mark. Cedar Point refused to let Wonderland build what could have been an AMAZING invert. So we got what we did." The term "as the crow flies". We have scarecrows on the footers and the owls are actually scarecrows. Do a google search for owl and scarecrow and those exact plastic owls come up. The crow does not fly in that area ie a B&M invert may be built there. Just wanted to throw that out there in case those really are the clues. I know I know I'm overthinking it. But hey isn't this what the Decode 2014 thread is for.

The cool thing is that if it is a relatively compact invert, with the amount of land cleared so far maybe it will be the beginning of a whole new area of the park. Whether the new ride is an invert or giga, B&M or Intamin, I think everyone would be happy with a whole new themed section.

Geez moving to a new server and all the drama over the last week. That's dedication. I know this doesn't mean as much coming from a noob (Let's be honest. I know my place) but thanks Dane.

Well said. I see this site as a KI fan site. Not a roller coaster enthusiast site. When everything went down a few days ago I stopped paying attention. I checked in once in a while but there was nothing I could or cared to contribute so I didn't. I have a feeling employees feel the same way. The moment it turns into a roller coaster enthusiast flaming and trolling free-for-all a lot of people are going to turn away especially employees. I know I wouldn't want to contribute to a site that magnifies some of the most annoying aspects of my job.

I think the worst I've ever encountered was at Disney World. Since they tend to get many international tourists, that may come from countries where the personal hygiene standards are different, it happens. Not making any judgements. (We are more than capable of producing people with offensive body odor in this country) Luckily most attractions at Disney don't require a restraint and don't have head restraints. But on the ones that do it can be a crap shoot.

If this wasn't a clean forum I'd make a joke about the term used when something being built starts to go vertical. But I won't. Hehe no matter how old you get that's never going to stop being funny.

The worlds first tweeting owl.

My guess was that it'll be floorless simply because Cedar Point doesn't have one. I think it makes better business sense to have very little redundancy with the two big Ohio parks when it comes to thrill rides. Make people say they want to visit Kings Island AND Cedar Point. Just my two cents.

Wouldn't be a very good PR guy if he didn't. Although it would be fun (for us) if he slipped up every once in a while.

I'm guessing the one person is actually Don himself. He does post on here occasionally correct? Thus making him a "person on the forum".
-
Could be that this person has made a prediction and they don't even know they know they know, you know?

I really hope when they do announce the new ride it goes more smoothly than the Gatekeeper announcement last year. That was hard to watch.

Or maybr new theming for Action Zone. It does look stuck in the 90's

That's what I was wondering too. Maybe it's cheaper to go ahead and place footers for another ride beyond 2014.

What color would fit the name "Banshee"?
CharleyTheDinosaur replied to Coaster Addict's topic in Kings Island
Love the black and purple scheme but I don't think some Bengals fans would enjoy it. -
What ride would you not ride at Kings island.
CharleyTheDinosaur replied to CP&LERR Fan's topic in Kings Island
Invertigo. Unlike The Vortex it's not worth the headache afterwards. -
I'm guessing the new ride will replace The Beast with Fast Lane Plus.

(Let me preface this post by saying what i saw was not new coaster construction materials) I was fully expecting someone to post something on here about orange supports seen on route 35. (It wasn't though). Yesterday I saw a semi truck loaded with some kind of bright orange steel tubular thing. (It had nothing to do with roller coasters). With the way it was painted and the size of it, I could see someone mistaking it for a support even though it was actually bisected in two halves. (Again, it was not a support). Probably some kind of farm equipment I'm guessing. (And nothing involving a new roller coaster)

How accurate are the wait time signs?
CharleyTheDinosaur replied to CharleyTheDinosaur's topic in Kings Island
Cargo shorts with a zipper pocket are the best thing to wear in my opinion. Either that or have a wife like mine that doesn't like rides and is willing to hold everyone's stuff. -

Yeah the signs with the arrows. I usually don't pay attention to them because I've been going long enough that I can tell just by looking at the line and how many trains are running on the ride. I went with someone who doesn't frequent amusement parks and they lived and died by those signs. It got a little annoying to be honest. -

EDIT: Yes I know the length of the line determines the wait but are there certain points in the line or number of turnstiles open or just how many are in attendance at any certain time etc.
