One of the signs in question (Sorry about the glare. It was a nice day outside yesterday). I could definitely see how this would be confusing to someone who doesn't frequent the park as many of us do. I'm sure this will be one of the things to get ironed out if the Season Long Dining Plan were to be fully implemented company wide next year.

Mason fire trucks and ems back to X-base

I didn't notice anything out of the ordinary at all when I rode it yesterday. Except they put in nice new flat screen TVs and have the video playing again. I missed it the first few times I rode Flight of Fear this year. -

I do not envy Don right now. Between yesterday and today do you think he'll say the phrase "There was no fire" more times than he's ridden The Racer? -

Lots and lots of kids here at the park today. Hopefully it's just a false alarm pulled by an immature prankster. -
Last night was walk-on as well. The op was allowing people to sit anywhere. Then when the first row was backing up he would tell people they could pick any row except the front. Seemed like a pretty good system. Since it was walk-on, if you didn't get front you could just exit after your ride and come back around to try again. There's no sense in sending out mostly empty trains only to have the front row line grow and clog up the station.

I've even done it at a store before. I was looking at some shoes minding my own business when a couple of teenagers came out of nowhere and said, "High five!" I didn't want to leave them hanging. They said I was they only person to give them a high five in two hours. We talked a little and it seemed like they were good kids just having some fun. Actually it sounds like something my friends and I would have done at that age.

I usually high five them back. I remember what it was like to be 14. Having a real life adult high five me back would have made my day. Life was so much simpler back then.

Yep. After 4 when the park closes at 8. After 5 any other night. -
If you're up for it, I have a fun tip for when you get your picture taken. Make a funny face (as long as the picture takers don't mind). The reaction I get when someone scans my pass is hilarious. They always have to do a double take. Also it gives them a smile and seems to break up the monotony a little.

And now that Sprint is half way decent in the park I may actually be able to win one this year.

I got back from Busch Gardens Tampa a couple of hours ago. I didn't even realize until reading this thread that the ride ops did not spiel at all. I didn't miss it and sure enough all of us were able to have a great time without it.

Did we see the birth of a new tasty tradition at KI?

What kind of wizardry is this? I may just have to try one of these. Now if only they could make Larosa's pizza into a push up form. -

I think for the price the season long dining plan is already a fantastic deal. Maybe when it is fully implemented and not in this sort of test season, they will add another tier that includes a snack or two per day for an additional charge. -
While I've never been accused of invading someone's person space in line, there is one thing that I have been trying to stop doing. Without thinking or looking I will grab the Speed-Rail. Most of the time its fine, nothing happens. Occasionally though there is that awkward moment when I touch the hand of someone who is also grabbing the rail. Then we make eye contact and in that split second we are both thinking the same thing, "Was that an accident that I should ignore or do I need to run screaming to a security guard?" The latter has yet to happen. After I determine it was just an accident, I will then try to gauge the personal hygiene of the person whom I just attempted to hold hands with. "Can I wait until after the ride to use the restroom and wash my hands or do I need to run screaming to the nearest Purell dispenser?" (In my mind the option of running and screaming is always there somewhere.) A worse situation is when I have my hand on the Speed-Rail and someone on the other side backs into it. Even though we both know it was an accident, there is never a time when touching a strangers butt isn't awkward.

BREAKING NEWS: The Republic of International Street has just invaded the sovereign nation of Planet Snoopy in an attempt to annex the region known as Boo Blasters. The leaders of International Street claim Boo Blasters is rightfully theirs and its employees identify as International Streetarians. Most other regions of Kings Island have pledged their support for Planet Snoopy and claim they will react swiftly to halt any advancement of International Streetarian aggression. Neighboring regions Action Zonia and Coney Mallistan remain on high alert. The remote nation of the United Attractions of Rivertown is considering many options including but not limited to freezing the Dippin' Dots tabs on many high ranking International Street officials. Now back to your regularly scheduled message board.

I think a Peanuts ride could be really fun. Possibly have speakers in the car and have Charlie Brown narrating what he did last year as a school project or something along those lines. That way we could see his classroom (and hear the teacher), The Great Pumpkin, the sad little Christmas tree, maybe Lucy's advice stand, and I'm sure they could work in a Red Baron scene somewhere. That would be really awesome to see.
