I believe the answer to your response to Kat lies here: And even though you did everything Terp told you, you still complained about it. Not trying to attack you, just stating my point.

Thank you. This point wasn't mentioned 6 posts up, which is why I asked. Gemini XL-200, now hoping admins let us know why Don left, and also hoping that if it was because of something our members did we can fix things with the park.

Sun-Mon: Yes, at 7 pm. Saturdays: They close at 9 pm. http://www.kentuckykingdom.com/park-info/calendar/

I did read it before I made my last post.^

So what is the correct reason? You claim to know, but have not said what you know. (Unless you have, which I don't think you have. If you have, then my apologies.) ^But that doesn't mean that they approve of people going to GWL to take pictures and videos. They can still dislike it.

That's on top of Media Day and Opening Day, and most likely Coaster Crew's KI day in July as well. (minus the extra friend on the KK trip).

I'd like to see these flat rides added sometime in the next 5-10 years: -Ferris Wheel, with a nice light package. Placed somewhere in Coney Mall. -Flying Eagles (preferably our old set). Placed somewhere in Coney Mall, possibly up on Flight Commander's old ride pad. -Dark Ride like Wonder Mountain's Guardian, placed in The Crypt's shiny metal box. -Somekind of major renovation to the Action Theater building to hold something new. Any suggestions? -If we either don't get a flying eagles or we do and its not placed on Flight Commander's old ride pad, then <to be continued, let me visit some ride manufacter websites and I'll be back on this one>. (Won't do that yet as I do not have my laptop with me and I am on my Xbox 360.)

This link was posted on Screamscape today: http://www.alabamas13.com/story/24977682/splash-adventure-water-park-in-bessemer-under-new-ownership I love Dan Koch's enthusiasm! Someday, since I have a good feeling that the park will succeed this time, I will have to make a visit there. More than Holiday World for some reason.

What is used to them is new to us. I'd be happy with a used flat ride from another CF park because it would be yet another perfectly good flat ride added to the park's ride line up.

The one day I just happen to have called off work to finish reading a novel for school, there's an announcement. Lucky me! I'd hate having to be at work knowing they've announced it and having to wait a few hours to see what it is.
-
I think Flying Eagles would be even more awesome if they are placed up on Flight Commander's old ride pad. Gemini XL-200, still hoping that ride pad becomes home to a ride sometime in the next few years.

I guess I will! I'm glad I didn't upset you!

The Bat flies again at Kings Island

Oh! Now that you mentioned that I looked even closer and noticed that. My apologies for my previous post as I was mistaken. Thanks for clearing that up! I'm actually glad that I was wrong as I think it looks great with the current (new) color configuration, and I personally don't think it'd look good for the orange to be on the bottom like I originally thought it did. -

It looks like one train will have the black base and the orange upper body while the other train will have an orange base and a black upper body. There's one car in the photo with the second color configuration. -
Oh ok. Was just wondering, didn't mean to upset you. I've never heard of nor seen the Mason Car Pool Ride Area Thing so that's why it looked like Kings Island's parking lot to me. And when it looked like KI's parking lot, I thought surely I'm mistaken because a smart guy like you surely wouldn't trespass after Don specifically said entering the parking lot is not allowed during the off season, hence why I asked. Glad you could clear this up!
-
Oh. Unless if I am missing the obvious, I only read about permission from GWL, not KI. I wouldn't think that KI would give anyone permission for that (and I could and may very well be wrong). Again, not bashing you, just wondering.

Nice Trip Report! But I have a question. Photos 8 and 9 from the top look like they were taken from inside of Kings Island's parking lot. Am I mistaken on that? Just wondering because Don did say no trespassing so I'm just curious. Not bashing of course, I'm guessing I'm either seeing it wrong or you have some kind of permission. Not really sure, hence why I'm asking.

Personally, I think that we'll just see some park improvements. Possibly more black top being replaced with brick pavers like they did in Coney Mall. But in the future, which I'm most certainly open to have done for 2015, would be a few more flats and a Dark Ride possibly like Wonder Mountain's Guardian to be built in that metal box that is sitting in Rivertown. Hmmmm.... Rivertown's Guardian? The Curse of Rivertown? It could work, but regardless of the name it could be an excellent Dark Ride. Or could it just be rail replacement? They had a rail sitting below the valley between the overbank (not sure of a better term for it) above the station and the turn by the midway last year. Did anyone else see it? So they could've just had the new track tube be orange when they installed it. Just thought about that, I may or may not be right. But it does seem odd that they'd only paint that small piece for today. Would've thought they could get way more done if my theory is not correct. Last year, I only saw groundhogs down in the valley area. No track pieces. Not a complete piece of track, but the part of the track that the wheels run on (the smaller tube part). At least, that's what it looked like to me when I saw it and it was there for awhile. But, since I don't take pictures at the park I don't have a photo of it either. It doesn't really matter as it'll all be painted eventually. I was just curious because it seemed odd that they would only paint such a small section of track like that. Because of that I thought of my theory, but only the park knows the answer to that. Well, carry on! -

I really want to see more trees planted in Action Zone. Personally I think trees just make areas look nicer. They also provide shade, which is a huge plus! Shade is much needed in Action Zone, which has pretty much been a concrete desert. Or a sea of concrete. Whichever expression you'd prefer to use is fine with me. It's looking like at least the circle will receive some kind of plant life, hopefully some trees as well. I personally think that this is a much needed change, and I am glad Kings Island is changing it. Of course I'd love some new brick pavers to replace the concrete, but this is a great start to that (if it is, like many of us think it is, new planters going into the circle). I can't wait to see all of the new things that have been done/being done in Action Zone this summer, with all of the new paint, The Bat, Banshee, the circle, The Chicken Shack, and Coaster Connection.

I personally hope that that is not the final shade of the supports. I would've thought they would be much, much darker. But who knows, they could finish painting it all and it looks amazing with that color. Guess we'll have to wait and see. And I also think that black would've been a better choice for the supports.^ -
The white paint on Skyflyer looks awesome! Much better than its natural silver color! Now if they paint Drop Tower I'd love to see them do a new color scheme on it. Guess we'll wait and see if it actually gets painted or not.
