  1. New VIP area is nice, same kind of setup as last year. Couple of seats, few TVs, no couches this time though but some adirondack chairs instead. Interesting enough less static shade though with the trees more overall. Still just water, though some with lemon and some with lime. Larger bags of chips again.
  2. The glazed pork was dry, but the sauce saved it a bit. The perogies and naan are phenomenal Side note; what the heck is with the cheese amount from Skyline this year? It's supposed to be a mound of cheese and I'm barely getting a heavy sprinkle. I shouldn't be able to see the chili and spaghetti through the middle of the cheese.
  3. I really liked the Disney pin culture they set up, I'd like to see something similar with CParks.
  4. Have an NFL review style screen at the Linekeeper, and wait for the offenders to come to the front and just be all "this you? Getouttahere"
  5. Like some others have posted i think the issue with reusing the chic-fil-a building is that Skyline's kitchen is usually set up cafeteria style and Chick-fil-A is not. It's a lot of remodeling for not a lot of gain. What they really need to put in this stupid mobile ordering system so they can just text me when the food is ready and set up a second pickup window.
  6. Surprisingly lenient honestly. I would have expected less people, possibly even "stay with" or vaguely "nearby" for the chaperone. I wonder what the policy is for if a chaperoned person gets caught out, do they kick everyone in the group out? As unfair as kids tend to find pack-ruled rules, I like them. Let the group kind of help support itself, if Karen or Kyle are going to act out, they will ruin it for everyone so don't encourage the behavior.
  7. I might just be misremembering I thought I remembered seeing the VIP tents set up in the 2021 season. Either way, it was thrown together.
  8. Yes, the permanent structure brings small hope (but hope) that they might have a more refined set up. Even the old area seemed hastily put together even though it was there for like 2-3 years? I am perfectly happy with just asking the check-in person (which I confused so much by asking for a burger and fries when I checked in) for a bag of chips (downgrade small bags). Again, just imagine what all could be done if they just tied more things to your passes. What about a soda machine/chip vending machine that didn't take cash but simply needed you to scan your pass and make a selection. Just so they can find out that Karen Jones for some reason is trying to eat 45 bags of Cheetos a day. Even if this leads to a small limit on how much free crap I can get out of it, as long as it keeps the stuff from just disappearing.
  9. Blue Ash Chili closed the nearby spot, it is now what appears to either be Indian or Indian Chinese fusion? But yes, the setup for Coney Mall's kitchen did get reset and does look to be a bit more in-line with standard Cincinnati Chili building. One person was running ways, and one person doing coneys. Also an expediter, fry person, and wiener chef. Everything they need to blow through a lot of people from what I saw during the rain on Sunday. Hopefully with some practice they can get an order out every 30-45 seconds or so, as I snobbishly cannot imagine any order really taking much longer than this. Though my Fast Food experience is more from Wendy's and making 20-30 Jr. Bacon Cheeseburgers a minute during rush.
  10. I give them a month before a new guard station is set up over in the Timberwolf road
  11. My favorite thing they did at the old Skyline is have 1 person running the line and 2 cashiers. Then I can just watch the manager and at least 3 other people roam in and out of the back door, where they did... something? maybe.
  12. For the longest time I always thought it would be a cool idea to have a check-in, check-out thing at each of the major rides. A little pipe with a QR scanner, or RFID the passes right at the entrance to the big ones. Then a 2nd one right as you get to the end of the line. As you walk by just scan your pass to check-in and scan again to check-out when you get out of the line. It can be a little thing for you to help count your rides, maybe an incentive for CP to give you those Pass Perk things that they say they will use but never do. But the real purpose is to count ridership, AND give real-time updates to line length. If it took Gold Pass holder 12-098754392017 thirty minutes to walk from Pole 1 to Pole 2, the line must be 30 minutes. Dump the data that is twice the current average, and you get actual useful data for riders and the park to see what rides need help and which are running smoothly. So much data to be gathered in this un-intrusive way for the park. Where are guests going, how long are they willing to wait for things, what rides are running well, are some rides struggling at certain times of day. But instead they have the linekeeper stand there with a button clicker to simply count people.
  13. I was told last year they discontinued paper maps, which makes me and my collection sad
  14. Front of the Line and Bring 2 Friends a year was what sold me on it. The VIP area is one of those, If you read the book the movie is terrible, sort of things. Like we went to the VIP area as soon as the Prestige Pass was up for sale last year and saw what it was. Comparing it to this year, yeah it is a huge downgrade. However I will be happy with just a place to sit and some fans on it in the height of summer, and in Soak City even if it is really just dedicated seating I will be happy to not have to get in at opening just to find a place to set my bag.
  15. I wonder if they go at a lower temp in the oven to try to pace out the day a bit better. It'll be food safe cooked at 2 hours, but not overcooked and dry at 4!
  16. Kings Island Facebook group is saying a bunch of cops showed up and someone might have tried to bring in a gun. Again this is all hearsay.
  17. I'd be happy with a simpler menu, but holy hell do they need to cook that rotisserie chicken more. It's barely crisped skin
  18. A nice wooden rumble but not a painful jerking about, it's about as smooth as can been expected. Great ride. I told my wife the same thing
  19. Did the old James Bond, days of thunder building have blue signs on it? One says shipping and receiving, another small one had a cactus on it
  20. They are like 4-6oz plastic cups. I mentioned they need a recycling bin
  21. Currently closed today. Not sure if they are opening later
  22. Construction for the official spot next to the bathrooms across from Enrique's. They did take out a small bit of the gardens.
  23. Flavored water and smaller bags of chips than last year. Though right in front of the Glockenspiel so that's cool.
