I was getting my passes in guest services while another gentleman was asking similar questions. The lady he was speaking with was saying something along the lines of "call each park and ask them what they will have"
-
I just noticed they redid the roofing on Woodstock Express ride. No longer blue painted wood, looks like white plastic.
-
530 and the fast pass shop is already closed. Looks like guest services will be busy with night rides and FotR passes
-
A kiosk off to the side under the entrance
-
Glad to hear guest services can print the passes, i wanted to use some for night rides and i know the fast pass kiosk at KI closes surprisingly early
-
They are just a paper with no scanning, no names, no IDs nothing. Just hand it off if you aren't going to use it. The paper does say it is a Fast Lane Plus.

I also used my family's VIP and FoRP today. The only issue I ran into is that somehow my FunPix got kicked out? I had FunPix for my Gold 2022, and my Prestige 2023, but when I tried the Kiosk it told me my pass was invalid, and I had to get it re-re-added (twice this year now). I highly underestimated how nice it is to just sit in the shade in the VIP area. They did have plain tater chips and nacho Doritos, water, powerade, Coke and Diet Coke in the VIP area. But thus far, I can see me getting a lot of value out of this Prestige upgrade for the family.

Just upgraded my 2023 passes, completely forgot that the front of line passes aren't delayed till next year. I'm excited to try them now. With the two free bring a friend passes annually, did this year count as one annual, or do i have to wait till next year?
-
I'm seriously debating this. The biggest perk for me being the front of line pass every visit. We're only 15 minutes from the park and a number of times we pop by for dinner and a ride or two. Would be nice to pretty much select any single ride and get it done instead of having to select whichever is the shortest. But is that worth an extra 600 bucks for the family? I'll use the other extra benefits obviously, but none of those add up to worth it.

What are your thoughts on this? Looks like a slightly more expensive subscription plan, as it is a continuous monthly payment (mostly), with extra benefits? 299 for the year for the "basic" and 399 a year for "plus". They appear to be mostly Gold and Platinum passes, with better parking, bring a friend, and a single use fast-pass. My questions will be: 1 - What does the 2 hour preferred entry mean? Will the rides even be operating by then, half the time rides don't even start at public open 2 - Will this be a limited amount offering, or will half these benefits not really work since sooo many people will get it 3 - Are the bring-a-friend passes open for any day, I know sometimes they limit which days they work. Some fine print I saw in the email. So I am curious if you get 2 annual, or if this fine print is a bonus "please buy next year" like it normally is. https://www.visitkingsisland.com/season-passes/prestige-passes

The warning worked well the first time.. I'm sure they'll listen the 2nd time

The funpix purchase just saves pictures to an account online. They have no way to verify they are pictures for you, your group or not. My kids rode the pumpkin coaster with a little baby's first ride, parents wanted a picture but not for whatever the price was. I just asked for their phone number, saved the picture to my account and texted it to them. I've probably got pictures of 5 different families on my account because I picked the wrong photos.

They took the 3D faces out of Boo Blasters. The ones just before the loading area that used to follow your. Last year they were there and I showed them to my kids. Daughter asked to see them again today and they are blank.

I'm sure for a small fee they would be willing to swap it once. They offer something similar if you change your mind on what kind of drink program you decided to go with.

Blog: The aviation pioneer that invented Kings Island's Monster

ugh, could you imagine getting rid of anything for Subway seating? -
The ham and cheddar sandwich from the French Bistro really is banging. The Italian slaw is pretty good as well, not mayo based instead Italian dressing, like a small salad. I didn't care for the burnt ends, the bbq sauce is just too much.

I was thinking of asking some of the workers how much it would cost to lose one of their floppy hats

The vast majority of food we get in the park is out of those two chains. If they drop those even with "park versions" I'd probably drop at least one of my three dining plans.

My 5 year old and 7 year old girls can finish a split meal some days and others they'll finish off two full meals. I usually finish the scraps of what's left since I'm pretty close to a camel. I will say generally one meal for both of them and a small carry in snack still work for the two of them.

I personally was rather disappointed in the theming this year. Yes I know, work shortages and blah blah, doesn't make it less disappointing. There was almost no scarers out and about, less houses, less scare zones, however they got more food for extra money! I just wasn't impressed at all. It is still fun, but it was just nighttime rides, with rock music?
-
I like having the times split as a parent. Both of my kids go and get their candies during the day, and being able to stay up late and see all the scary stuff is a special event for them. I will say though, I'd appreciate them throwing slightly more money at the daytime event. It's been on a downward trend since the first year. No more tiny pumpkins, less candy, the "maze" now takes less than a minute of an entirely linear path.

This sounds delicious and I'm still not going to bother waiting in line for this. For those too lazy to look:

They aren't at fault for the delays, but as the managing company they are responsible for notifying the potential customers. They had to have known it was behind weeks if not months before hand and waited until nearly the weekend of the original opening before they told anyone. Twice. If you don't know, you don't know that's fine, but the last month or so of a new place opening your should be training and doing final details and running soft openings with employees and families of employees. Two weeks before before opening there is still major construction, the gates are locked same most of the buildings are still being put together. They knew it was going to miss the date and sat on their thumbs. This is the issue I have this entire season so far. Pulling the reservations yesterday I doubt was a last minute "hey let's do this thing", they knew, they sat, they messed up everyone's plans. What makes this whole thing worse to add a cherry on top? They either did decide last minute and didn't have the staff to cover 3x or more visitors that showed, or they did know and scheduled it which means telling the employees a week or more in advance, OR they knew and didn't tell the employees or the guests and just clustered the entire thing.
-
The most irritating thing is that was true yesterday. They pulled the reservations without notifying anyone that made the reservations and were already at the park expecting a smaller crowd and potentially safer visit. Cedar Fair has just **** the bed this entire year with providing information to just about anyone. This is getting very quickly to where I'm considering cancelling my passes after 8 years of having one. Between Camp Cedar, park closing hour changes, the reservation system changes, the park having signs up telling you information that isn't true anymore. How much more can they simply fail to update their customers. As KingDingDong had said in another thread, "they should they care, they already have your money". I feel the only recourse here is to stop giving them my money. Maybe it's time I change up the pace and start going to Coney Island

I finally got around to the French Corner yesterday, they were out of 2 of the 3 Chef Croix options so I went with the required ham and cheddar croissant It is tiny, and it is delicious
