  1. beastfan11, you couldn't have said it better! I've been to Haunt only once ever, and was EXTREMELY impressed by the theming and Haunt attractions. I went to the first year of Fear Fest and Haunt absolutely blows it away to the point where the 2 almost aren't even comparable. And your last line, I was waiting for someone else to say it first, haha
  2. Which is a silly filter / autocorrect feature to have on the website. I could be talking about about a baseball bat factory where I bought a bat, versus Kings Island's suspended roller coaster. It also reminds me of a certain website which obnoxiously changes "Full Throttle" to "YOLOcoaster" and "lockers" to "fluffy, fluffy bunnies filled with medicine and goo". You can talk about a bat all you want and the filter will do nothing, but when you start discussing The Bat, it auto-capitalizes it.
  3. You can see they tore down part of the stunt crew grill. I'm not really seeing that, but it definitely looks like they tore up the ground in front of it. Edit: nevermind, I'm looking at the wrong building. I can't really tell what is going on with Stunt Crew Grille.
  4. I don't think anything in particular, just a slightly different camera angle that may be a bit clearer.
  5. I usually just go in order, starting with Invertigo and making my way around the park clockwise from there. I ride every coaster outside of Planet Snoopy, and the only non-coasters I ride are Drop Tower, Delirium, and Boo Blasters on Boo Hill. I will occasionally ride Congo Falls or White Water Canyon if it's hot, depending on who I go to the park with. But typically that's the order I go in, and once I've made it back to International Street, I head for the exit.
  6. I don't see a flat ride going in the circle. I mean, Cedar Fair announced Lake Eerie Eagles for CP last fall, I doubt they would stick a flat in that circle at KI without having announced it already. Having said that, I fully expect some type of theming there, or else why would they even bother tearing up the target-thingy?
  7. I'm with Interpreter. I don't see a name change happening for the 2014 season.
  8. Twin Racer? Was it ever officially called that? That's very interesting to me.
  9. Action Zone may in fact be re-themed a bit, but I would imagine that if KI is sending out official tweets referencing Action Zone this close to opening day, it probably will not be re-named for the 2014 season. But, it's entirely possible that I could be surprised.
  10. I actually prefer FoF when it DOES come to a complete stop at the mid-course break run. I love taking that first banked turn after that break run super slow.
  11. So does this confirm that that area will still be called Action Zone? Or have we known that all along anyway?
  12. Solid burn aside, it was incredibly strange to see thunder and 2 strikes of lightning yesterday with a few inches of snow on the ground, I can't say that I had witnessed that before.
  13. Not only IS there a Hangar 18, but it's one of the greatest songs of all-time, without question. The only change in theming that I would possibly be down with for FoF would be this song being played on loop once you made it into the UFO, or add some of the elements from this music video, but for obvious reasons, that would never happen and only a very small portion of the population would be as geeked out as I would if this change were to be made
  14. I completely agree about the video. If they changed/removed the video, it wouldn't take very long to see "bring back the old FoF queue video!"-type posts on KIC, for good reason. At this point it's pretty much become nostalgic. Plus I'm a dork and still get excited if I'm on the camera when they do one of those "we let the public in there!" look-ins on the queue, haha. I'm probably in the minority but I think the queue is fine. I think it's one of the best-themed queues at KI. Plus it's pretty dark in there, so it's not like you need too many intricate details or anything. I like the overall theme as well. I say keep it as is.
  15. As probably the most known and vocal questioner of the capitalization of trademarks on here, even I recognize the concern that Adobe would have with regards to Photoshop, it's probably close to being genericized a la aspirin, thermos, yo-yo, etc. and I doubt that they're fine with that.
  16. The Beast is still in hibernation, but will awaken from its winter slumber before you know it!
  17. Definitely seems to resemble Demon more than Vortex. Vortex's orange stripe is more in the middle of the train, whereas Demon's orange-ish/red-ish(?) stripe is more towards the top of the train, similar to the train on the book cover shown above.
  18. I remember it doing that back in '06 (which was the last time I went to the KI before this past year's Haunt), so I assume it was a problem for a while.
  19. Ok, so for us who are ignorant to the process, what kind of time frame can we expect there to be before they start testing?
  20. How cool! I'm a coaster novice so those restraints look pretty unique to me. It seems like banging your head against the restraints won't be an issue at all. Doesn't seem like discomfort will be a problem!
  21. Sorry if this has been addressed/answered already, but does anyone remember when we first saw trains on Diamondback? Just wondering if we would see trains on Banshee in a similar time frame.
  22. Yes. Many of KI's coasters did at one time, including Adventure Express. I don't remember AE having one, where was it located?
  23. Me too, in fact I think KI's overall Haunt theming throughout the park is outstanding.
  24. Can't believe I forgot about this song, called "The Banshee's Cry"! It would never happen, but it would be sweet! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CFofmenanm8
