  1. Wasn't there also a report at one point that there were FOUR fires in the building? LOL how ridiculous. I'm sure the park feels differently than me, but if some people decide not to ride because of this and as a result the lines get shorter, then I can't say I'm too upset about what happened (assuming those who were exposed to the smoke haven't been having any problems).
  2. And I enjoy Blue Streak quite a bit, but not more than Racer.
  3. That's a good thing, drink water, it's hydrating you. Grab a soda on the ride home. So now we're promoting the idea of not spending money at the park for things that are bad for you? I hope K I officials aren't reading this. Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk
  4. On I-Street? Yes. Outside of there, many restaurants close one hour before the park. I discovered that when trying to get something to eat after I split from the group Friday. I asked in Guest Services and was explicitly told that at least Chicken Shack, Hank's, and Juke Box close an hour before the park. I did not ask or receive information about any other restaurants, so there may be others that close early as well. Transmitted from Wild Space via my datapad's DROID brain Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe those same places do not open until 11, either.
  5. IIRC that's why I enjoyed MF more than Magnum. As much as I enjoyed the bunny hills on Magnum, I remember "landing" back in the seat at the bottom of each one not-so-softly.
  6. My thoughts exactly. You never know though...
  7. Every neighborhood I've lived in (up to 4 now) around the greater Cincinnati area has done trick-or-treating on Halloween night.
  8. Either Hypers or Gigas for me. I need to get back to CP to ride MF and Magnum again and see how they compare with DB (and with each other) now that I've gotten a few DB rides under my belt. My most recent CP trip (5/6 years ago?) I walked away thinking MF was my favorite coaster ever with Magnum a close 2nd, but I need to re-evaluate that. I've never ridden a wing, floorless or dive.
  9. I actually would expect there to be very light crowds on Halloween (at night anyway), as most families probably participate in Trick-or-Treating and/or have their own festivities planned. During the day it might be packed but I would imagine the crowds to thin out in the evening.
  10. Did the regular pass price increase?
  11. I rode Racer last Sunday in the middle of the last car (2nd to last row on the train) and I couldn't believe how smooth of a ride it was at its age.
  12. I went last Sunday and got mine processed at 9:25. Also since my voucher was already printed out, it took at most one minute for my pass to be processed. Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk
  13. I should clarify; my critique was more in regard to the location of the speakers. Obviously given where the speakers are located, they have to time it the way they do.
  14. The rear of the train is barely at lift crest, by then it's already picking up speed getting pulled down, so noone would hear it. Where it's at now allows those on the train to hear and enjoy it as well as guests down at the lift hill base. Disagree. You'd still be able to hear it just fine if they timed it right as the train started to descend. As it is right now you hear the wail, then about 5 seconds later you finally start to pick up speed and free fall down the first drop. It's a very very minor critique that I don't really care about much. It just seems a little "off" to me is all.
  15. The anticipation of waiting through that queue and riding for the first time still remains unmatched by any other attraction I've experienced. It did a great job of enhancing the experience. IIRC, the first time I rode it there was a ride op there assigning seats that didn't let us turn the corner to see any trains launch prior to our turn. This built up the anticipation even more since we didn't know what was about to happen. I mean I knew it was a launch coaster, but I still didn't know what to expect as I had never ridden one. I'm sure if the GP knew nothing about the ride then they were in for quite the surprise that first time.
  16. Does that mean Banshee's your 2nd favorite coaster anywhere? I like Hulk a lot too, but it's probably not in my top 5 (neither is Banshee FWIW, though I enjoy both greatly).
  17. I couldn't really hear it outside of Action Zone. But that reminds me of the only pet peeve I can think of with the ride, which is the timing of the Banshee scream. Eve wails as the train is still ascending, even if you're in row 1. I think the wail should happen as the rear of the train reaches the crest at the very earliest. JMO.
  18. That's pretty ridiculous. I was assigned a middle row and asked for the front and when the op said no, I pointed out that there were 7 people in line for the front (I was a single) and he happily obliged. I understand that on coasters with 4 seats across you might have to assign seats rather than just pulse the line to avoid countless empty seats on a train, but at some point common sense needs to prevail.
  19. I waited just over 3 for Top Gun the first time I rode it in the year it debuted. That's definitely my 2nd longest wait ever. Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk
  20. I rode it to and from Soak City on Monday and it seemed pretty packed to me on both trips.
  21. Just a random question: how long has your longest wait ever for an attraction been? Which one was it? Also feel free to state your longest wait ever for each KI attraction that you've ridden, or your longest wait for an attraction at any other park. I think the longest I've ever waited for a ride was just over 3 hours for Flight of Fear (back then called Outer Limits: Flight of Fear) the first week it was open, but I'm curious to see what others have to say.
  22. FYI, I am a CPA and would be happy to field any questions related to claiming sweepstakes prizes
  23. Dah ok that makes sense. Sorry for the confusion. I was wondering why it's so quiet lol.
  24. I had no idea how big that building really is until observing it from The Beast queue yesterday. It certainly has potential.
  25. Yeah the in-line twist at the end is incredible. Really all of it is. It's very disorienting. I still think DB is my favorite, mainly because I'm a sucker for speed, and especially floaty air-time, which the DB has in spades. But that doesn't take anything away from Banshee, which is a superb coaster.
