  1. I will be 109 in 2079. I wonder what is the oldest age someone has rode a roller coaster. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. It's a lot faster than a slowmeme. Nothing like Mimi that was on The Drew Carey Show. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Hot new items!

My daughter says the Diamondback one has a real bite to it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. This topic has become vaguely similar to Paul Revere yelling "the British are coming!" Certainly the trains arriving is better sign that spring is indeed on the way than Punxsutawney Phil's prediction. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. Banshee obviously a top priority. Followed by The Bat, The Beast and Diamondback. Anything else is just bonus. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. So did you have their signatures tattooed in once they signed the tat? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  10. I hate violence. However, I strongly feel if you are physically attacked, fight back. I do not advocate abuse. Mental abuse, emotional abuse, physical abuse is wrong. I was bullied for years by a girl. She was the school bully and most boys were afraid of her. The bullying stopped when it finally came to blows. She threw the first punch, all I knew is I had to throw more punches that her. I threw three punches to each one she threw. No hair pulling. I punched her in the face repeatedly. I ended up giving her a left hook and she went up and over her desk. She was suspended a week. I was in in school suspension for a day. The teacher came down to the office once my dad showed up. She apologized to me about not stopping the fight. Then she told my dad this girl deserved her butt whooping because each punch I threw was not just for me but every other person she bullied in the past. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. The first time I rode The Beast I though I was going to die on the first hill and lose my head going into the tunnel. At the end I was sold. I've loved it ever since. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. I presume Craig Ross worked at PKI? I love word games. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. One of Katie's friends requires a gluten free diet and there seemed to be minimal choices for her. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. We typically only carry a bag in primarily so Katie can put her glasses in something. I am looking into the band that Terpy mentioned. It is likely we will invest in contacts. She's going to try out for track and it will be better for her. I may benefit in the band myself. I need to start looking at cargo pants for us. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. Presumed that was what it was, but figured since I did not know for sure I would ask. Thanks! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. One thing they might consider is roping the path off all the way from the gates to the queue for Banshee. It would frustrate a few people if some where walking slow, but it could eliminate a Black Friday like stampede. Technically speaking even if people are walking slower, unless they are in the first 100-200 people in line, you aren't riding any earlier. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. What are pavers? I've heard it mentioned, not sure what they are. Thanks. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. Graeters is good too. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. Dippin' Dots taste like sweet ice cream with bolder flavor. Far from styrofoam. To me it is too sweet to eat much of it which in a way is a good thing. I prefer the hot fudge sundae back by White Water Canyon. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. I say we send someone in and have them put up signs with arrows point towards Planet Snoopy "Banshee line starts here!" Everyone will head to Planet Snoopy, we get right on Banshee on opening day! I say this as a joke, not as anything serious, just in case you are wondering. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. It appears it was dug up. I know some are happy, I kinda liked it. It fit the theme of Action Zone. I think it would distract from a possible change of themes. It just makes me that much more excited about the 2014 season. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. Spongebob is nearly as creepy as the Haunt Jack-in-the-box. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. What a horribly cold day to be out working. I am sure they have layers and all, but it's still tremendously cold. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  24. I find it funny. I did not see where people say they want to have the park fail. What I see is people wanting the park to succeed and questioning why things are not done to boost up the excitement to help with success of the park. I personally want KK to succeed. I have many years of wonderful memories. Truth be told, I had a season pass many years. I did not get a season pass for KI until Cedar Fair bought the park. While I loved the rides at KI and would go many times each season (I have friends who would buy me tickets for my birthday or the kids birthdays or because they knew I could show them around the park when others could not.) Kings Island always seemed dirty, staff was unhelpful. Cedar Fair has consistently improved on all fronts from cleanliness to staff being much more customer focused and management is very visible. I cannot say how much more I love Kings Island now. My thoughts regarding KK stem from seeing it go through ups and downs for the years it was open. I've waited patiently and hoping the park would reopen for years. I really hoped the Koch family would have opened the park. I think it would have done amazing had they took ownership. That is just my own opinion from my experience at Holiday World. I've been to that park only a few times, but each time, they delivered great customer service. I saw owners walking around picking up trash and starting conversations with people. While I know that family has experienced a lot of family turmoil, I really see them backing out as a sign that the forecasting to have a successful park would not be worth the gamble or investment. Looking at the taxpayers having to help fund the park is a huge negative in my opinion. It's less of a gamble on a company or individual since the Commonwealth is backing it up. I truly think if this was a viable long term park grand reopening, banks or investors would be readily available to throw in financial support. I love amusement parks, but see where tax payer dollars given to the government could be put to better use. The difference now than ever before is the huge abundance of free media there is to roll out announcements. Announcements in the middle of the night seem odd at best. Again, there is not an individual or company to have that drive to go the extra mile to pump this up more. Even if they felt social media is cheesy or just a fad, it's peculiar to not use it. If it were my park, I would do things so very different. The one negative I had then and still do is paying for parking. I understand both now and then it is on property owned by the State Fair. I see having any drop ride in the park as a bad move. People don't pay attention to it being the same or different ride, just that it's a drop ride at this park. I struggle with believing Banshee was not being mentioned in the Louisville area. Indianapolis is about the same distance and we don't have a competing park in the area and it's been on the news here. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  25. It does not make me feel old at all. I remember in 2008, my daughter and I sat watching people working on Diamondback. We sat there a long time. It was a really cool thing to see my daughter excited about the new coaster. We could not go opening day that year. However, it's one ride we both love. My favorite seat is row 1 seat 2. I've said from the first time I rode it, that is the best seat in the house. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
