I am on vacation visiting family in Charleston South Carolina. My brother and I decided to make the trip to the park for the day for the first time either of us had been there. We left at about 6am and made it to the park a little before 9:30 a.m. it was odd to me there was a line of cars just sitting parked waiting to be let in. I had failed to read they only do ERT on specific days. They didn't start letting cars into the lot until a minute or so after 9:30 a.m. We got parked and headed to the ticket window where thanks to the Platinum Pass we were able to get him a ticket for $37. I'm not entirely sure how I feel about the park, some things I really enjoyed, like how compact the park is so it was easy to make rounds and explore instead of trying to plan all of our moves. Then some things I really didn't care for. I dont know if this is normal practice or what but there were four coasters running one train. This was very frustrating as short waits became annoying and much longer than they are supposed to be. I'll just give a run down of my thoughts on each ride, of which none of them are overly good and just kind of mediocre. Intimidator - front seat is boring as can be the back however was a lot of fun just like Diamondback. I did enjoy the turns on Intimidator more than Diamondback but they are pretty much the same ride. They are fun but not great. Afterburn - this was my favorite ride of the day. I like it more than I like Raptor or Montu actually. The exact reason I like it better than Raptor is it doesn't slam your head incredibly hard in a couple of spots like Raptor does. None of the inverts touch Banshee though. Southern Star - it was alright. For some reason I thought it would be more fun. Thunder Road - one train operation. Boring ride, but at least it wasn't rough until the end. Nighthawk - I liked it better than Firehawk but I'm not really a fan of Firehawk and they were only running one train which made me want to punch a Nun. Hurler - This ride was just dumb, the terrible off vibration made me never want to go near it again. Carolina Cyclone - boring and rough. Carolina Cobra - I actually liked this thing. It had me so dizzy with the forces. Ricochet - little coaster was really fun. Vortex - I expected the worst and got a halfway decent ride. I'd ride it again. We also did some of the water park including Dorsal Fin Drop. I really liked that slide and thought they had a pretty nice waterpark going on. It will take a pretty phenomenal ride to pull me back to the park again soon. We were able to get rides on everything despite all of the one train operations and a decent crowd for a Monday.

I never thought people asked for more breaking. Learn something new everyday. Diamondback is boring to me aside from the last row. Banshee is far from boring. I love the speed and size of it.

You should have started throwing haymakers.

That's fine for them but you want to attract me to your park though I am in the smallest percent and don't matter you have to have rides like that.

I'll be thankful when I don't have to stand in the sun for a half hour because they neglect to inform ahead of time anywhere that there is no ERT. Either way we just rode Intimidator and we are now waiting for Nighthawk. Intimidator was alright.

We got here a bit ago. Stupid place isn't doing ERT today.

I'm obviously not a park owner and just a fan however I still am willing to wait to get a ride and see thr envelope pushed instead of maintaining the same thing over and over again.

I can't stand the "we can ban you for something offensive to others" rules. What's offensive to each person is so subjective. Everyone is different in what they find offensive.

SOB was walk on almost every time I went from around 05 until it was removed.

I was there for a partial work day (left early) during Spirit Song several years ago. I can't handle the amount of people that think it's okay to force their beliefs on others. Stopping me telling me I need to be saved. Who are you to try and tell me this? Go enjoy yourself without bothering me.

I'm glad I will be out of town this weekend. Between the annoying crowds that shows up for Spirit Song and the bring a friend day I would avoid the park like the plague.

No ride has ever made me drool on myself like the Voyage did when I rode it for the first time. It is incredibly intense and awesome. I kind of don't want them to change anything about it. My first ride was a month ago.

Day 37 (today) made me laugh. I'm pretty sure they just called us children.

I can't do a Monday. I will be at an event just not this one because of the day.

What does it matter what type of ride it is as long as it produces the thrills?

I'll never understand how people go from a something simple like that picture to the demolition and construction of a new ride right away.

The seat belt could fit three of me and I'm a big boy. 250 pounds. The lap bar is what to make sure you fit with.

I must say I have been a Beast fan since I was a little kid. I love the thing. However, after riding The Voyage then riding The Beast a few days later I was bored on the The Beast. It made me sad.

Ten years ago when I worked at the park they did these dance parties in the Action Zone area. I think they did it three times. I want to say at some point they had someone nationally recognized there. I can't remember for sure. Obviously this would be far more difficult with the way Action Zone was remodeled.

I've never understood people. Let's complain about something that was there first and generates a bunch of jobs and tax money for the area.

I enjoy the front more as well. I really enjoy the back though.

Either way I would not count Intamin out and I stick to my guess of either a Mack or an Intamin launch.
