  1. Wasn't it Bamm-Bamm Bumper Cars? Those were some sweet rides back then.
  2. I bet it hangs in there. We have Taco Bells and Chipotles all over the area here; but each satisfies different needs of different customers. Of course, I prefer Chipotle, but I know some people don't want to wait in line and just hit the Taco Bell drive thru.
  3. I forgot CP got Pinks. It's really that good? I wanted to try them before but didn't want to go to California. I've heard a few people crave Potato Works at KI, but after having the fries at Kennywood; THOSE are some fries.
  4. I would say Vortex, and actually The Racer has been really tight on me the past couple seasons. Then again, I've gained weight which has probably been the issue. I'm dropping a lot of it this off season so hopefully it will be more comfortable.
  5. Drove by the park this past weekend and I really like the new paint job.
  6. Yeah, it didn't go well for me a few years ago at Holiday World.
  7. The old Beach Waterpark radio jingle. "Come to da Beach. Right across from da Island". Whenever I heard that I'd think, golly gee, I'd like to go to Kings Island right now. So maybe the commercial didn't affect me the way it was intended to.
  8. Went to Kennywood for the first time last year and The Whip was my favorite ride there. There's just something basic and fun about that ride.
  9. They could have that "Riding History To The Limits" special playing on TV's through the area.
  10. Looking through those makes me want a nice Richland cigarette.
  11. Is this a picture from the future after The Vortex has sunk?
  12. I agree with Earl of Sandwich, if you want a very good sandwich (especially for a very modest price). I stayed at Port Orleans Riverside a few years ago and loved it. Agree that the ferry ride to and from there and Downtown Disney is great. Very relaxing ride, and the resort itself is beautiful. Would be a great place just to walk around.
  13. It's kind of surprising considering that Kennywood seems to be all about maintaining old and rare rides.
  14. Are we talking about Kennywood? I went there for the first time this past summer and loved the park. The Garfield ride was pretty lame though. My wife loves Garfield and even she didn't like it.
  15. Was this actually taken during Winterfest? Those 2 folks in the boat appear to be wearing summer-type clothes. Unless it was perhaps a mild Winterfest day (Or I'm mistaken on the clothes). Is it because of the lights? I thought there was a snow scene in the ride, but not sure if the decorations were Winterfest only.
  16. I believe the smurfs were living in the walls while The Enchanted Voyage was running; living off of food scraps and stray children who decided to jump out of the boats. Eventually the place was so infested they just changed the theme. At least, that's what I've heard.
