Any interest in a bring back The Bat petition?

Is anyone sending them ideas? I was trying to find pictures of old ride logos and was going to send an email to them. One that I found was for Flight Commander.

Odd, I was always under the impression that the one at Jungle Jim's was the KI one. Perhaps there were more than one or they got it from another source. If you look up inside of it you can see the face and the section where the doors are, if I'm remembering correctly.

Except that at least one of the rides (according to the article) she had been allowed to ride in the past. So it's not up to her to ask questions if the precedent has been set by the park already.

Agreed. I bet if I got on any of the rides that she was taken off of, I'd be allowed to just rest my hands at my sides and not hold on and nobody would say anything. Sure, I have the ability to grab the restraints if I want, but if I am not required to then I don't see why she should have been removed. If there is a blanket rule, like with the example above about Dollywood's Dizzy Disk, then I can understand where this could be an issue. It's stated from the beginning that they need to hold on, and it applies to everyone, hands or not. That is not to case with the majority of rides.

I think all of the improvements that I'm most interested in have been expressed here already. 1. Parking lot needing paved (whoever said it wasn't necessary must not have driven on it for the past 5 years or so). 2. Bring back the trams (though I doubt they'll ever do this again, the price of parking is so high they should at least escort you to the general area of your vehicle). 3. Better dining options. 4. Paint The Racer and turn one side backwards (history be darned, the backward side was fun).

I was 7 as well when that thing opened (probably 6, but turned 7 that summer). It would be another 8 years before I had the courage to ride it. I had this fear that if I went on a looping roller coaster I was instantly going to puke over everything and everyone in the general vicinity as soon as I went upside-down. There was just this mental stigma about it. I don't know where it came from (probably from my older brother who loved to trick me, like when he told me that there was a Tool Christmas album and I searched every record shop for it to no avail). It's funny, I never thought about the fact that I didn't see hundreds of people around Kings Island covered in puke, so I should have realized early that I was going about my thinking the wrong way as far as looping coasters were concerned. Anyway, once I rode it, I figured I could ride anything and have been riding everything ever since.

I've heard of a few construction tours, but not at Kings Island.

My wife asked during the episode why they wouldn't even mention Tower Johnny, but I'm assuming it's because Kings Island is getting some national attention with the show and the last thing they'd want to talk about is someone who died in the park, even if it was a while ago. So it's better to just show a ghost who died before Kings Island was even an idea. Would have been cool if someone turned on one of the rides while they were there just to mess with them.

Thanks for the pics, Shaggy. I remember how excited I was when it was announced and how my buddy and I would drive down from Dayton just to view it during the off season from the parking lot and dream of how wonderful it was going to be. Dreams don't always come true, unfortunately.

On my way back from the Newport Aquarium on Monday we saw this on the highway. Anyone know who's getting these? (And I know the answer is "yes"). They look to be of the B&M persuasion.

I had a cousin die from an aneurysm this past summer. She was only 29. Didn't think much of her last Facebook post when she said that she had a bad headache. Then 6 hours later she was found dead. Very sad and can happen without much warning. I feel for the Judd family's loss.

Or maybe they were closed because there was a killer shark on the loose. It's all psychological. You yell barracuda, everybody says, "Huh? What?" You yell shark, we've got a panic on our hands on the Fourth of July.

I've never liked TR:TR. Rode it during the media day the year it opened and was highly disappointed. Rode it a few more times and it didn't improve until I think I had a slightly enjoyable ride when it became the Crypt and seemed to be set to "insane" mode.

Man, that Rasta Banana could sure help me out of a couple jams.

I miss when the Swordsman on the left had long hair. And how does that guy walk with those giant hooves? That's a pretty sweet costume. Or is it a costume?!
