  1. http://haunt.visitkingsisland.com/ If you go to "events" and learn more for Haunt, it takes you there. So they're linking it on the site. As good as announced, I'd say.
  2. I have a couple little glass plates that show the old sky ride. I think the old stuff with rides that I wasn't around to check out are the coolest. Also have a little mug with some rides, including Flight Commander, on it. I was around for that one, but still interesting. I'll try to get some pics of my small collection on here soon.
  3. I collect glasses, plates, steins, tea sets and mugs from parks. Mainly KI and CP, though I recently found a Geauga Lake stein at a Goodwill. There are so many of those types of things that people give up to the Goodwill or thrift stores. Whenever I'm in one I peruse the glass isle and usually find something. If it looks unique I scoop it up. At the Goodwill the other day there were about 5 Fred Flintstone coffee mugs that I didn't think too much about until I turned one over and it had a Kings Island price tag on it. Looked like it was not too old, but I didn't grab any since they didn't have Kings Island on the actual glass wear. But it was still fun to find.
  4. As a long time member, I gotta say, you guys rock. I've been guilty of throwing the "big brother" tag around a bit, but I wasn't looking at the big picture at the time. This place offers so much that other park fan sites either don't or can't, and if it means that you have to adhere to KI policies, then that's what you gotta do. There are so many perks to being a member here that far outweigh issues where you can't post information early. Information, I might add, that's going to come out eventually anyway. We live in a society now where everyone needs to know stuff early or they need/want to be recognized as the one who found something out before anyone else. It's not really a big deal. If you need to break a story about the park, go to Screamscape and do it there where they'll post just about anything. Just don't be surprised if you can't post that information here.
  5. Does KI know the meaning of "free"? I mean, I know they had the shirts last year for DB, but anything else? Ever?
  6. At least to sell $10 ponchos... Brilliant idea. I hadn't even thought about the extras they could pinch out of us with him as the headliner.
  7. KI just needs to hire Gallagher and get it over with.
  8. Meh, every generation has its form of "bubble gum pop" music. Back in the 40's anyone who could sing a Doo-Wop song was pushing it out there to be overplayed. There are a lot of classics from the past but just like today, there is a ton of stuff that people made (or stole) just to make a quick buck and would be forgotten.
  9. This is the first time I've heard about this "Boob Blasters" ride. That's news to me.
  10. He should just be named "Guy" since he's the new Guy and doesn't have much personality or style in clothing. Like, "Hey Guy, what's up with those skeletons chasin' yah?"
  11. I think a lot of people consider BLSC a fail not only because the ride is pretty tame and it doesn't really move the lines, but also because of what it replaced as far as other rides and scenery from the park. It's a fail as far as being a major eye sore, that's for sure.
  12. Lol, I guess it's not the IE version. I'm using IE7 at work and it's fine.
  13. Well, since the person I mentioned was arrested; I know they got kicked out of the park, lol.
  14. Maybe it's the difference between IE 7 and 8? I'm using IE 8.
  15. Here you go. I just typed numbers down the side and as you can see a large section of them are behind the formatting bar. Isn't a big deal if you only have a few lines but if you have a lot to type, or you're quoting someone then it gets in the way and you can't see what you're typing at all.
  16. I'm having the same thing happen as well. I'll try to get a screenshot on here.
  17. It looks like it's been crying. Poor guy.
  18. Anything is a possibility, but I doubt it. They own a lot of chains and haven't taken on their names. This is just another one for them.
  19. This is all because of the Mason tax proposal isn't it? One little tax hike and they sell the company! Obviously, I kid.
  20. Just from what I've been reading, it looks like this company is all about investing in opportunities, but I don't see where they actually take over management duties.
  21. From their Wikipedia page: "Among the most notable companies currently owned by Apollo are AMC Entertainment, Claire's, Harrah's Entertainment, Norwegian Cruise Line and Realogy (Coldwell Banker and Century 21 Real Estate)."
  22. My thoughts on how SOB feels while riding is that, "My shoulder doesn't hurt very much, but my face does. Right here. Not here or here so much...... Right here."
  23. I like the idea. If there was a "Thanks" button, I'd press it for this idea.
