Someone say Smurfs? Anyone who misses the Paramount theming needs to look back at how the theming was maintained, which as I remember it was not well after it had been around for a year or 2. Top Gun's epic queue, anyone? Or better yet, Gillette's Mach 3 Top Gun?

If Kings Island had a Whip ride like at Kennywood, that would be my favorite. Went to Kennywood this summer and fell in love with that ride. I know Kings Island has the kid version (which I loved when I was a kid), but the adult version may be the most perfect ride ever.

Dude, big congrats to you and your wife for doing the half marathon. I just finished the Couch to 5K program a couple weeks ago and I'm getting ready for a 5K (in Oct) and then a 5Mile race (On Thanksgiving). I'd like to eventually do the Disney Half Marathon in a couple years or so. That would be a great excuse for me to do one AND hang out at Disney World for a while. Trip report is great!

I'm excited about this ride. I remember when I rode Star Tours for the first time back around '96, I thought it was the coolest ride at the park. Then I went back in 2009 and it didn't seem quite as great (though the queue was still the best). The ride definitely needed an upgrade. Hope it's good!

If it's true, it sounds like a sweet job.

Hopefully the fact that it's $5 will keep Cedar Fair on top of the theming and any mechanical problems. I can't imagine the backlash if a bunch of folks pay their money and only half of the dinos are working or are covered in bubblegum.

He's gotta hear it from the Don himself, which will still be supplied by the media, because chances are most of us won't be at the official announcement. But then, if Don's on TV, how do we know that he's not computer animated, or an animatronic like the dinosaurs?

There is a simple way to not walk any more than usual at KI. You just don't go into the new dinosaur attraction. Just pretend it doesn't exist and walk on by. Or get a wheelchair. Edit: Gator is going to say the same thing below, so ignore my post.

You're going to be hunting dinosaurs?

I don't know, I like to go down Jungle Trails at the Cincinnati Zoo every time I visit. And I would not assume that that is the main reason why the animal safari did not last.

^ They've done it before, as has been discussed earlier in the topic. Though, if they're clearing land for this, I'd assume it's permanent. And speaking of Congo from earlier in the topic, they had a walk-through attraction for that one summer showing off some behind the scenes stuff. The walkthrough was better than the movie, heh. I believe they also did a Titanic walkthrough attraction one year as well. Of course, those were the Paramount days, I do believe.

If these are the same dinos from that Dinosaurs Unearthed/Alive company, it looks like we'll have lots of slow head shakin' dinos. Can't they at least eat a goat or something?
