The Maestro booth over the years... once it got to Boo Blasters it was just an eyesore. I'm hoping the Maestro returns to his booth in Phantom Theater Opening Nightmare!

I agree as long as it's better maintained than Boo Blasters had been, I'll be happy. A lot of people have been waiting so long for PT to return... I have faith in KI for this one.

We just had to get a picture with the teaser! The outside building pretty much looks fhe same as far as I could tell.

I'm still loving the Blue Ice Cream at Kings Island... it never disappoints!

Any predictions on how dark the actual ride will be? I'm hoping darker than Boo Blasters at least.

I wonder if the outdoor exterior will be the last thing to be worked on like it was in 2003 when Phantom Theater became SDATHC where all the indoor stuff was basically done and they had just started working on the outside according to this video. That would be awesome if he returned! I wonder if we'll get some old restored audio for the new ride as well. Fingers crossed the Maestro returns to his booth in the que!

That's true but at least we are getting the extra days to get our rides in which we are going next weekend!

I agree that we do lose an indoor ride for WinterFest this year but I'm glad by next year we should have PTON! I wonder what kind of new WinterFest merchandise we'll have this year!

I wonder if the original voice of Maestro will be returning to voice him in the new ride?

I agree its like they wanted us to forget about PT... honestly I really think the only reason why we got the PTE show is because of fans of the original ride who were upset when it was removed and the fans are the reason now why we are getting a new PT ride.

Funnily enough there have been times when guests thought Boo Blasters actually was a show and had to ask random guests in line on what the attraction actually was. I also remember one time when a guest cussed out the worker because he wanted his family of 6 to all ride in the same ride vehicle, literally caused a big scene and was screaming because he tried to convince them that all 6 family members could fit in the same ride vehicle, he then got out line with his family giving everyone the middle finger. I honestly can't stand guests like that.

I still think it would be funny in PTON in the que if the Maestro says something along the lines of "Our theater was replaced by a group of teens and a talking dog and what is a Boocifer?!?!" I would absolutely LOSE it! I'm hoping that maybe we get subtle references to both Scooby-Doo & Boo Blasters, not a big thing but it would be funny!

1. For me I would love to see the return of The Maestro playing the organ in the que, it was iconic and it just wouldn't seem right for the Phantom Theater to return without it. Also I want creepy music to be played in the que and for the FunTVs to be removed. (I feel like the FunTVs playing take away from the creepy vibe that PT is supposed to be) 2. I don't think they'll bring back the darkness (as dark as the original PT was) but who knows they might surprise me! 3. If they decide to do the Peppers Ghost effect maybe the glass shouldn't so close where riders can rudley spit or throw gum at it.

For a ride called "Orion" I'm still disappointed that the coaster wasn't tall enough to reach outer space!

One prediction for PTON, is with the introduction of Arpeggio the Cat as new character which I presume will be present throughout most of the ride, well personally I think this is supposed to be the same Cat that was scared by the giant mouse/rat in the original PT ride, but in the new ride I can see them do a twist where Arpeggio gets the upper hand and scares the giant mouse/rat... I think that would be perfect! (If they decide to bring the gianr mouse/rat back, this is what I think they should do!)

Yeah I was disappointed with the downgrade, I'm not sure how they could make it work with the Peanuts characters but I'm sure with the Nickelodeon characters they could have, to this day I'm not sure why they haven't changed the name. If there was part of Hanna-Barbera Land I wish they would have kept, it would have definitely been the Hanna-Barbera Carousel.

I agree! Especially parks like Universal Studios sell their ride props after ride removals. But also this was back in 2002 when they closed PT in the middle of the season without warning so who knows what they were thinking.

I really enjoyed seeing some behind the scenes of the PT convering into SDATHC but it's sad to hear most of the original PT props were thrown away, I hope some were rescued and are restored for the new ride. I'm glad some props have been used for haunt such as the furnace from the original PT ride but seeing it in this state stained with fake blood is just disappointing and I wish it could be restored in some way.

I want to be surprised for the most part no actual scenes however a teaser here and there would be nice, I still would like to see pictures of Boo Blasters props being removed though.

I was thinking that too, I don't see why not the IAAPA wouldn't acknowledge Phantom Theater Opening Nightmare, I want to see as many teasers as I can before the ride opens in 2026. I'm hoping KI has more teasers soon or at least some construction process.

It was a nostalgic trip if they brought back the original costume that Kings Island had for the 1992 season (then dissappeard) occasionally I've seen the mask during Halloween Haunt. I would love to ride Monster Mansion, very good use of animatronics for a dark ride from the POV videos I have seen.

We are planning on going those extra days in November particularly the 8th & 9th... any predictions on how busy it may be?
