Personally I think this is a great idea, it'll act as an anchor to bring season pass holders in, while giving guests something else to do.

Better make sure those have an open cabin design and not enclosed without AC... @Disney

Gerstlauer has been used for some projects, but not a ton of projects, I think their last coaster they put in was Spinning Dragons at Worlds of Fun, then as for flat rides they installed a Skyroller at Canada's Wonderland in 2016.

I think the idea of "paying homage" to The Beast is ridiculous and is just brought up over and over again despite being a PR disaster last time, so personally, I think it's unrealistic that we will ever have a "Beast" themed coaster again.

I want what Parc Asterix is getting personally, but I'd be very satisfied with a Mack LSM or Xtreme Spinner.

I'm loving all the new stuff I've seen sitting at home from people on the floor! Next year is my IAAPA year for sure, Also with the dive coaster train, I love how Liseberg put their mascot on it, It's a cheesy but fun touch, my favorite news story from the show has to be the new Intamin coasters they announced yesterday for Parc Asterix and Walibi Belgium.

Six Flags may want to buy SeaWorld
rhyano replied to Oldiesmann's topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News
I think there's a good possibility that Cedar Fair is eyeing Seaworld right now and not Six Flags, the only issue with this would be how expensive this is going to be for them. I think it's more realistic than a Six Flags takeover due to their debt sheet right now, however, I can see someone else buying them and Six Flags managing the parks (Six Flags doesn't actually own most of their new parks) -
I don't really like any mainstream roller coaster channels, overtime they aren't very entertaining and I prefer podcast style media about roller coasters than anything, so I have to plug this Youtube, ElToroRyan, it's very underrated and I find the content to be pretty entertaining. https://www.youtube.com/user/Blasianskater. Then for No Limits 2 stuff it's for sure XYZ Coaster https://www.youtube.com/user/XYZcoaster. Then I really wish Theme Park Maniacs was still a thing... I really miss watching his videos and miss him in general https://www.youtube.com/user/themeparkmaniacs

I have memories of watching the ride but being too young to ride back in 2006-2007ish, (I know it was before Diamondback.) Then 2010-2012 I watched the ride just sit there, as boring as that sounds, Son of Beast fueled me to be who I am today and loving rides and attractions, watching the ride get demolished got me looking at theme park forums on the regular in my free time.

That just means that it's their best revenue in that five-week period compared to other years, also factor the fact that Cedar Fair lost money this year and I don't personally think they can get the money they lost in June and July back (which I don't think is Cedar Fair's fault for anything, but I'm pretty certain everyone is down this year, and the only reason SIX grew 3% is because they acquired five new parks in the first quarter)

Cedar Fair's Strongest Performer in 2017 was KI

TEA is never reliable, just saying, it's actually higher than that. -
Actually Intamin uses a single spine, they have a new style of track that Hyperion is using

I think a dark ride with some sort of coaster element would be awesome! I'm thinking a Mack Inverted Powered Coaster!

Thank you so much! They look very nice!

GCI makes a ton of large wooden coasters, I don't consider a 109ft tall GCI roller coaster a "small" wooden coaster, same can be said for Thunderhead at Dollywood, the same can be said with over examples, Maverick is only 105ft, but that's a 21 million dollar investment, Mystery Mine is 85ft and that was 17.5 million dollars, right now the largest GCI built is Wodan at Europa Park at 131ft, and I think there's one in China that I can't remember the name of the park. I really think enthusiasts underestimate how much a roller coaster actually costs to construct, even when RMCs were on the cheaper end to build, they were still millions of dollars and parks don't just drop millions of dollars everyday, Brad Thomas has a great quote in Devin Olson's Outlaw Run documentary: "10.5 million dollars for any company is significant, we don't take our investments lightly"

Where do you get the 2021 rumor? There's no hints or anything credible to the point of calling out random years, also Son of Beast's old station is really ugly.

Falcons Fury at Busch Gardens Tampa
rhyano replied to Colonel_SoB_fan's topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News
Falcon's Fury is incredible, but not very forceful. -
My vote goes to Ron Toomer.

Where does Flight of Fear fit into this? That is one project that I think Paramount did extremely well, the more and more I spend time in the building both as a guest and as an employee, Flight of Fear was defiantly over the top, groundbreaking attraction when it opened, also I think Paramount did Boomerang Bay right too!

Cedar Point 150th Anniversary Ideas (2020)
rhyano replied to Maverick44's topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News
I think it's still very unlikely due to their water table being so high, that's why Valravn didn't have a splashdown. -
Cedar Point 150th Anniversary Ideas (2020)
rhyano replied to Maverick44's topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News
Those were discontinued due to RMC now making their own wooden roller coasters (RMC helped design and construct them) also not making two posts, I know the last Intamin water ride at CP was a complete disaster, but Chiapas of the US would be fantastic, it would be cool if Mack could do something like that, or a Pulsar clone.
