  1. The building will continue to be used for Club Blood.
  2. Club Blood is not being removed.
  3. Nothing changed. The event was planned by the park for members of Coaster Crew. To allow non-members on this site to participate, there would need to be something in place where you had to be registered with an account on KIC by a certain date so it doesn't become a situation where people are joining the site just to do this event as was the case for Banshee media day. If the site and Coaster Crew want to establish a date such as you had to have an active account on KIC by April 1, 2014, then it keeps it for those the event was intended for.
  4. You will need to be a card-carrying member of Coaster Crew to participate in this event.
  5. Year-by-Year Coasting for Kids at Kings Island fundraising results: 2010 - $2,083 2011 - $7,358 2012 - $13,591 2013 - $13,577 2014 - $16,700 (currently)
  6. Participants will exit the ride after two consecutive rides and re-enter through the Fast Lane entrance. An email will go out Friday with the event details.
  7. The purpose of the event is to raise money for children with life-threatening illnesses. Anyone that wants to complain about only being able to ride two consecutive times before having to exit the train isn't participating in the event for the right reasons.
  8. Banshee was designed to be a high capacity ride. Having bins in the station to store loose articles would greatly reduce capacity and result in two trains being stacked on the brake run before the station, waiting on the train in the station to dispatch.
  9. Today, at approximately 2:40 p.m., the Flight of Fear roller coaster was shut down after smoke was detected inside the ride. Kings Island emergency personnel responded quickly and guests were safely evacuated from the ride and returned to the park. Initial investigations indicate the smoke was caused by an overheated motor. As always, the safety of our guests and associates remains our number one priority.
  10. Watch the segment about Banshee that aired this morning on Good Morning America.
  11. It hasn't been.
  12. The ride has been open this year. Thousands of guests have ridden it since Opening Day. A lot of inaccurate information about the park has been posted on this site this year.
  13. A lot of false propaganda has been posted on this site this year. As previously stated, the ride crews are permitted water.
  14. Water is available for the crew.
  15. The sharing of the Dining Plan options is not permitted by guests.
  16. The Scrambler is celebrating 45 years of spins and smiles.
  17. No they have added extensive brake runs Wrong! The Beast has had brakes in the same locations along the 7,359-foot long course since it made its debut April 14, 1979. If the trim brakes that some want to complain about were not in place the ride isn't celebrating its 35th anniversary season. I see first time Beast riders every day. They're absolutely blown away by this ride!
  18. Stop it! Posting bogus information like this forces the park to field unnecessary calls, emails, Facebook and Twitter messages.
  19. DonHelbig posted a topic in Kings Island
    Banshee full POV video.
  20. @buchtvguy takes a ride on Banshee.
  21. The Beast turned 35 today!
  22. We are less than $9,000 away from $100,000!
  23. The front row will be open for enthusiasts to ride during the event but if a member of the media needs to shoot a scene for a live hit or get reverse angle video, they would have the priority.
  24. Excellent choice!
  25. For those attending media day, the news media will have priority seating for the front to get the reverse angle footage they need for their stories. Thank you in advance for your cooperation.
