Got to get my first visit in yesterday in a few months and I'll tell ya i could not have had a better visit. I forgot how much I missed it, well, and this place, too. Good to be back. But kinda bittersweet.

What a sad day for me. Not just because Shockwave is closing, But it's the last of the last. Around here, at least. I can't even hardly find time to walk in my own house, (alot of the reason why I haven't been here much lately either.)let alone travel eight hours to ride a coaster. Next year will be different, but that doesn't help matters now. Priorities........

Man, I tell ya, when I go up with the wife and kids, I almost always end up riding by myself a good bit of the time we're there (My wife just doesn't do coasters.) Luckily I've only been paired twice. Once was with a nice little church lady, who was with a group of her friends, and she had a blast. When we exited the ride, we exchanged some pleasentries and that was that. Nice lady who really enjoyed herself. That was not a bad ride....... The second time was with this guy I got paired up with a the front of the station. That guy just stared, quite evilly, at me from the time we entered the station, through the ride till we exited. It was just uncomfortable, probably just as much for him as it was me. I would much rather just ride by myself.........

I get preferred every time I go to the park, and when I leave I am very happy that I did. We went a couple of weeks ago and my wife griped and told how goofy it was that I paid extra to park closer. At the end of the night, she was VERY happy that I did.......

Apparently not with people. When i was up there Memorial Day Dragster, Raptor, and Gatekeeper were down, Millennium Force had a pretty healthy line. Rougarou, right across from MF was basically walk on. JMO the ride experience really hasn't changed except your sitting now instead of standing (I know, brilliant observation ) I like the stand up trains better. Don't think it was enough to draw a bigger crowd to the ride. By the way, love the drummer guy, looks like Pac-Man.

^^Huh, well I guess I may be a little late. Sometimes I can be a fountain of misinformation. But, now that you say that, I remember hearing that. I just forgot there was a deadline. Oops, my fault.

^I don't think you can use ERT on single day (or two day) tickets bought at the park. However you can buy a ticket from like a Kroger or a Mejer that does have an ERT with it. And for the most part them tickets can be bought cheaper than what you will pay at the park. I'd look around if that's what your plan is. Hope that helps.

Doing better than me, not only do I refuse to take a phone in the park, I refuse to own one. I did have on once. Flip style at that, Took it to the park and lost it on Firehawk. #Bestdayever.

That's awesome that Banshee made it in the top ten. Very conspicuous by it's absence is Millennium Force. Usually in any poll I see, it's at, or near, the top of the list. Hmmmm........

I'm sure the Fast Lane sells are through the roof on the very busy bring a friend days. I just wonder how much the average wait time for the regular queue is added because of that.

^Yea, this is a real bummer. I really enjoyed the one TOGO I got to ride. I was all about going just to ride it Shockwave. Most everything changes with time, and the older you get, all you have is a memory.
