  1. Most rides dream of the finale Beast has. Beast is not my favorite overall coaster but I'll be darned if its helix doesn't make me feel like it should be just about every time.
  2. Amount of times these rumors have made Don perturbed: At least once. Probably several more.
  3. They probably don't as of right now but they'll understand quickly enough.
  4. The last piece of info I could find on this was Lance saying that back in 2012. Arrow loopers removed in CF parks since: 0
  5. What happened to Dr. Phil's soapbox?
  6. Webcam check tells me it's very light right now. But the park hasn't been open for 5 minutes.
  7. Friendly reminder: Kings Island is open today. 5PM - 10PM. Only one more weekend after this to enjoy Soak City.
  8. I hope you have an awesome day. Cedar Point really is a great park. I hope to make it back there next year.
  9. Well, my idea made much more sense. Oh well. I guess they're painted that way to match Dragster?
  10. I think it fits. It's supposed to be themed after a Chinese dragon right? Those are the colors of the Chinese flag.
  11. Fiesta Texas is closing their Frisbee ride: https://twitter.com/SF_FiestaTexas/status/636896548937293824
  12. I know Terp and I have been to Lagoon and know at least how it used to be. Lagoon used to be my home park. You want a park that has changed where it should, but knows where it shouldn't, that's Lagoon. It's essentially the same park it's always been, but also isn't afraid to change with the times. I think this documentary captures it perfectly:
  13. Good luck to those going. If I lived closer, I'd be there.
  14. A much less descriptive title, but: http://www.KICentral.com/forums/index.php/topic/31385-what-new-coasters-are-on-tap-for-cedar-fair-parks/
  15. I had a 3 Way at the Skyline in the Cincinnati Zoo last year that was okay, but there were so many bees in the dining area that it was impossible to enjoy it. Couldn't take a bite of food without a bee flying in trying to sneak a piece. That was probably the worst dining experience I've ever had at a park.
  16. Even then though, with KI you can see and hear Banshee roaring and screeching. Diamondback towers over the park ominously. The screams of Invertigo chill your bones. The excited children pointing at the T-Rex, their imaginations running wild. Then you get through the entrance. The monstrous fountains hit your ears at the exact moment the peppy pop music does. You look up and there's the green metallic Eiffel Tower, looking as tall as ever. Then it hits you: you're here.
  17. Confirms what I said about a month ago. They're satisfied with KI's entrance as is.
  18. I don't consider Mason or Cincinatti nearby and I'm only 2 hours away. I'm "in the region" but certainly not "in the area" even if Kings Island is my home park.
  19. Still tremendously sad. This would be like Lagoon deciding to take down the Roller Coaster for me. Every enthusiast has their coaster, and for those who like Thunder Road, this is devastating. Lucky, Roller Coaster extends into the parking lot and is nowhere near the water park. (It's also well maintained and a source of pride)
  20. I'm not sure how that decision was made, considering Kings Dominion's waterpark was just changed this year to Soak City from WaterWorks. Perhaps it has something to do with being the biggest waterpark in the carolinas?
