Man I feel old.

Vortex. I rode it for the first time when I was 10 or 11.

I know I'm going to sound incredibly insensitive, but I don't understand why people would complain about the seats not being bigger. For the vast majority of people, their size/weight is a result of personal choices. Those choices come with consequences, of which not being able to comfortably ride Banshee is one. I have absolutely no issues with that. I know several on this forum have stated they attempted to lose weight to ride (and were successful) and I applaud them for that. They took the initiative to better themselves so that they could fully enjoy the park. Many others need to do the same.

I'm not going to lie - I live an hour east of Louisville and we will definitely drive the additional hour to Holiday World next year. I have no desire to visit KK. I had friends on Facebook and Twitter discussing HW and Thunderbird last night and they're not even remotely enthusiasts. The announcement was a huge success.

Why so down on Kentucky Kingdom? It's a great little park. You mean the little park with no theming at all? Since it matters so much to you..

Intamin makes an inferior product. That's what happens when you don't satisfy your customers.

yes I have it's just a building. Big Thunder at Disneyland and Magic Kingdom are themed coasters. You're comparing a small family-owned park to Disney. Come on, now. It's much more than just a building.

The Thunderbird was almost like a deity to the Native Americans. It's great that something Native in origin was incorporated.

That second pass while inverting through the roof of the building is awesome. Absolutely love it.

Seems to be quite a bit more theming than Banshee, too.

It looks much better than Gatekeeper.

For a wing rider, it gets very close to the ground. Looooove it.

Looks to be a ton of theming for it. I love it. I like the lightning/thunder effects in the launch station.

Thunderbird is Native American in nature. There were two parties on Thanksgiving, ya know
