Thunderbird has launched!
LovinMeSomeBanshee replied to APE's topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News
Work has resumed on the roof of the flywheel building. Construction of the station is ongoing. Lots of lifting! -
So that's what they did with the gravestones? That's pretty cool.

New Coaster Busch Gardens

I think with the fact that food and medication is allowed, that cell phones would be too. People will need to change their catheters and check their blood sugar mid-ride for sure. How is that any less dangerous than talking on a cell phone?I'd be more worried how you're going to charge your cell phone. -

I'm assuming this thing has thousands of LIM launches throughout it? I do love the course over the Middle Atlantic. -

Yeah, Louisville has a lot of rough areas. Definitely some sketchy people in that part of town. -

The first supports are up! Looks like the launch portion of the track is being installed first. -
Has Ridership Increased on "The Bat" After This Year's Makeover?
LovinMeSomeBanshee replied to Ffej's topic in Kings Island
I think the re-theme is part of it, but proximity to Banshee is probably 80% of the increased ridership, if I had to guess.- 35 replies

Give it up. You were called out for stereotyping and now you're being a baby about it. -

Do I see footers (footings) poured for the station? -
Kentucky Kingdom
LovinMeSomeBanshee replied to sccard01's topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News
I've seen commercials for the Kentucky Kingdom $9.99 state fair pricing here in Lexington that made absolutely no mention of the requirement of purchase at Kroger. There will be a lot of very upset people at the window. -
Will Diamondback always be the tallest at KI?
LovinMeSomeBanshee replied to skylar.heizer's topic in Coming Attractions
I don't think what Cedar Point has will have any impact on what Kings Island gets. The vast majority of Kings Island visitors have probably never even been to Cedar Point. -

It's not the first time we've butchered another language. -

I figured it would have a French pronunciation. Go-guh Lake. -

KK is not going to survive. It's a shame, really. -
Kings Island 2014 Discussion Thread

It's definitely not Requiem for a Dream. I know every note of that song and I've been on Banshee over 50 times. -

Looks like the Construction cam is down. I'm hoping it's to move it to a new vantage point. -
We saw someone tailgating yesterday in row 49, which is the row directly to the right of the entrance walkway. They were grilling right there and I was sort of surprised nobody had acted on it.

Will Diamondback always be the tallest at KI?
LovinMeSomeBanshee replied to skylar.heizer's topic in Coming Attractions
I'd say KI gets a giga during its next turn in line. 2019. The only huge open spot is the majority of Son of Beast's former footprint. They could even utilize and refurbish the old station and move Wolfpack elsewhere. There is plenty of queue space, but Action Zone would be incredibly crowded.. -
Meh. The second hill of Diamondback is the best. It's not as steep as the others, but you're out of your seat for what feels like 10 seconds.
-
Banshee is currently about a 10 minute wait.
-
Diamondback is currently about 30 minutes, in line for The Beast now and the sign showed between 30-45 minutes.

Sitting fountain-side eating LaRosa's and marveling at the number of soccer balls in the water. There has to be thousands.
