Although I don't completely eliminate Wikipedia; rather, I just always try to cross reference it with something else.

Here are Kings Dominion's prices. https://cf-kd.secure.accesso.com/packageList/keyword/HauntKD What I find very, very intriguing is that there is a "Haunt VIP Meal" with Kings Dominion's "slightly demented" executive chef. Neat idea, but I wish Kings Island had a similar thing with Chef Nate.

Tropical Plunge - NEW for 2016!
Italian Job 2005 replied to Italian Job 2005's topic in Kings Island Central Newsroom
I think that they've had this attraction planned ever since the 2012 "expansion", they just decided to execute half then, and the other half now. That's why there's always been that field next to the volleyball courts; just waiting to be developed.- 60 replies

Nothing is to say that there's not. The only time there is not ERT is during Haunt Friday nights. Call the park to verify. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

2016 Gold and Platinum Passes on sale 08/20
Italian Job 2005 replied to WindingSon's topic in Kings Island
Do you think Kings Island will ever hit $126.00? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Ever? Ever is a very long time. Give inflation another ten to twenty years and, assuming that there is no change in ownership or season pass levels, I'm sure it eventually will. Well, I mean, since 2013 all we've seen is the price go up. Let's say the price goes up $5 every year. 2016 Season Pass: $94.99 2017: $99.99 2018: $104.99 2019: $109.99 2020: $114.99 2021: $119.99 2022: $124.99 I'm sad. That's only seven years from now. -

A ton of remnants from Boomerang Bay's theming still exist in the park. The main one I notice is the murals of animals on the pathway leading to Soak City / Picnic Grove. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Is this the exact same slide complex as Hurricane Heights at Kings Dominion's Soak City? -
End of the month? I think the ticket information is already online.^

Tropical Plunge - NEW for 2016!
Italian Job 2005 replied to Italian Job 2005's topic in Kings Island Central Newsroom
Tropical Surge sounds more "thrilling" or thrill seekish if you catch my drift. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
From Kings Island's website: Kings Island announced on August 19th a major expansion to its Soak City Waterpark for the2016 season with the addition of Tropical Plunge, a complex of six different water slide experiences towering nearly seven stories. Three of the slides on the 65-foot tall complex will start with guests climbing inside an Aqua-Launch chamber where they will wait anxiously for the floor to drop out from underneath their feet, sending them into a high-speed, almost vertical free fall through a series of flat loops and S-curves in a translucent flume. Tropical Plunge also features a slide that will send riders twisting and spiraling through an enclosed chute featuring four intense 360-degree loops across 449 feet of slide before they’re released out into a pool of water and dueling 337-foot long tube slides that zip riders through an enchanting series of drops and turns. “This will be a high-adrenaline attraction that will increase the thrill factor for our park guests,” Kings Island’s Vice President and General Manager Greg Scheid said. “They have been asking for new and more thrilling waterpark attractions they are able to enjoy with family members and we think this answers their feedback plus brings another element of FUN to the overall experience of Kings Island.” Tropical Plunge will expand the size of Kings Island’s waterpark to 35 acres. Once the attraction has been built, Soak City Waterpark will have a total of 36 slides; two wave pools; two coves; a lagoon and an action river plus children’s play areas among its more than 50 water activities. Construction on Tropical Plunge is expected to begin this fall and will be ready by Memorial Day 2016, the start of the waterpark’s 27th season. Thoughts?

The location for the announcement is in a place that can only be found by those who know where it's at. I really hope you're not just saying this to insult my intelligence. How do you navigate to a place? Well, first, you have to know where's it at. Obviously. I thought we were smart.

Common. They're doing things out of order. Flat ride in 2016 (five years after WindSeeker), THEN waterpark in 2017 (five years after the Soak City revamp). Geez. What does this park know about chronology?

Was it the all day non-souvenir cup drink wristband?

I wholeheartedly agree. If the service is ridiculously slow like last year, and if the price gets jacked up, it doesn't matter how the dining plan changes because I won't buy it. I loved it in 2014 and I was "meh" about it in 2015.... "Meh" is not a compelling feeling to buy the dining plan again in 2016. Just sayin.
