Ah okay, weird that I never saw it when I went over there, where is it located at?
-
So... maybe I don't remember this, but was there always a "Soak City Skyline Express"? I saw it on https://www.visitkingsisland.com/tickets-passes/drinks-dining and for the life of me I don't ever remember this existing, I thought it was just Coconut Cove, Island Smokehouse, and Subway.

I believe there won't be much in the way of an announcement of a ride, but I got a feeling we may see a few teasers posted somewhere in the park...

You can see plenty of that topic in the last 5 pages of this thread.

An out and back coaster? Sure, why not?

I agree the decorations are nice, but I don't think it accomplishes what @SonofBaconator was trying to get across. When you look at the queue for Flight of Fear it is very elaborate with a story around the ride. While it would be easy to just say "Hey, good job Kings Island on Mystic Timbers & Banshee, you gave your best effort, here's your participation trophy", there is nothing wrong with wanting more. Fun TV kills any themed ride queue areas for me unfortunately, and that's okay if it doesn't for you, it's all personal opinion. I do feel that Fun TV has it's place in certain queues that don't need the immersive experience in the line especially when they have longer waits (e.g. Firehawk, Diamondback, White Water Canyon, etc.). But there is some examples of where Fun TV completely takes away from the experience in the queue for example Mystic Timbers, Boo Blasters, Adventure Express, & Beast. I will give Kings Island credit that they do do some good queues for rides like Flight of Fear, Racer (yes the theme just being the old time music lol), Banshee, and yes Mystic Timbers despite the Fun TV. But again, those aren't really immersive or Disney-esque experiences in line, Flight of Fear is the only queue that really accomplishes that.

Sure if you like the story of watching Fun TV in a queue with some shaded areas that somewhat resemble sheds.

Maybe it was just when we were there, I obviously don't frequent that area so I don't know how it is day to day, but I know the day we were there they were just having the associates stand by their cameras with noone telling the customers where to go when the entered the area. We eventually just invited ourselves up to an associate and asked if my friend could get her picture taken and they obliged. Don't take my comment out of context in saying that I think they don't have good associates, I just think that they could do a better job of traffic coordination the one time in the last several years I have been in that room which is more a comment on the room setup than it is on the associates.

I'd love GCI trains on Racer, I feel like I have more wiggle room on the Woodstock Express than I do on Racer.
-
I agree with this, I went with a friend that was getting their season pass for the first time last year and went through that area and you could see water damage on the ceiling and it's pretty much a chaos trying to figure out where to go once you get in the room to get your picture taken. Not a good first impression for people that just made a major investment in your park.

Beast was never trying to attempt to have a large amount of air time. It's main features were the low running to the ground, the tunnels, and the double helix at the end. Saying you think Voyage is better because of the air time is like saying you like Banshee more than The Racer because of the loops.

Sources? Not disputing, just curious...

The only time I ever feel banged up after riding it is when I sit towards the back of the train. Other than that I usually feel the ride is pretty smooth with some aggressiveness to it but not enough to hurt. Been riding it for about 30 years and would say it actually feels smoother in the last few years than I can ever remember.
-
It would take more time to get the VR headsets ready on everyone than it would to actually ride the ride unlike Iron Dragon which is a somewhat longer ride.

Well to be fair to them I haven't taken down my Christmas decorations yet either

I believe those are Chevy

While I agree that most of those buildings are quite an eye-sore outside of Haunt time, I think it would be better for them to re-purpose those buildings for something during the off-Haunt season or at least put up some theme'd decorations on the buildings to fit the areas that they are in so that they blend in. Unless Cedar Fair has something planned to replace the area those buildings exist then it's cheaper for them to just keep them up.

Do you have to sign a waiver before you watch it?

Just because you said it's unlikely doesn't mean we can't give feedback . Honestly I don't see Coney Mall as a strong area for a giga coaster, I'd say Action Zone or X-Base would probably be best.
-
I would definitely be on-board with a steeplechase coaster and I agree the theme of it would fit much better to that area of the park.

Backwards Racer was one of my favorite rides, we would ride that all the time when I was a kid. I think the reasoning for going front facing was a pretty bad reason and there had to of been more to it than that which we'll probably never know (those who don't know do talk, those who do know don't talk or something like that).

Only tear BLSC down if they put something in that's better and worth the loss of BLSC, the ride is a solid fun ride with the coveted 48" mark (was my daughter's favorite ride at 48" when she got there a few years ago). I understand people's displeasure with it due to the fact it got rid of the antique cars, but the ride is fun, isn't uncomfortable, and one of the few rides with some halfway decent theming in it, even if that theming has diminished over time due to the loss of the Italian Job theme. I'd argue the theme of BLSC is fourth best of the roller coasters at Kings Island behind Flight of Fear (more the queue than the ride), Banshee, & Mystic Timbers (yes, better than Adventure Express).
-
I don't think there was ever very much in the way of any type of communication stating that antique cars would happen, more that most of us just really want them to be back. It was nice of Kings Island to tease us at Winterfest having them driving the antique cars around though...

I agree that I'm happy to see Como Cruisers leave, although I do hope they put something better in to replace it even if it can't be bumper boats which is a bummer because those were a lot of fun.
