  1. That's actually not a bad wait for that, when I was in line last week I was backed up to about where you took the picture.
  2. I'm able to view their Instagram feed just fine...
  3. I agree that I think the dining plan is really not the main culprit of the wait times for the food (although it does increase volume as stated above). My solution to the issue with the souvenir cups would be to install self service Coke Freestyle machines. They had something similar at a resort I went to down in Florida. They put a small RFID chip on the bottom of the cup and the Freestyle machines scans that chip to validate the refill. The only thing they would need to find a way to integrate into it is a way to add payment options such as using your credit card or even cash, I can't see how it would be too difficult to do so. But I do agree that there is always a bottleneck at those Coke machines which is probably a good portion of the issues. But that's not to say it's 100% of the issue, I was at the park several weeks ago and went to Potato Works in the former Coney Mall and went up and paid for my food. And mind you, there was nobody else at this food stand waiting for food. It took 5 minutes for them to make a chicken tender and fries basket. Food service employees are a part of the issue too, but how do you fix that? They are hiring minors that have never worked a day in their life and being thrown to the wolves with what looks to be little to no training. The only solution I know is to go the route that the museum and zoo went and use a third party company to handle food service, but I highly doubt that ever happens.
  4. Hopefully they were doing a Cash Coaster video, that way at least someone made good money.
  5. Longest lines as always is the food lines, they really need to address this next year, I think this year is a lost cause. 20 minutes for RHOFG, 15 person line for Planet Snoopy grill, waiting behind about 30 people in Larosa's line at Festhaus.
  6. So far it hasn't been worse than an average weekday
  7. Yes Dtk1378 who answers questions
  8. Definitely not a plus, just a statement.
  9. I was there the other day and had their "gourmet BBQ Bacon Burger" It was a GFS meat with lettuce, onion, charcoal bacon, and a oversized bun. It was a huge letdown, even lacked bbq sauce. Question should be though, how fast did the line move? Food quality is pretty par with Kings Island at the zoo to be honest.
  10. Possibly seeing an opportunity that was passed 5 years ago to make a play on the inactive user's profile name?
  11. Woodstock Gliders? Snoopy's Space Buggies? Tropical Plunge?
  12. I went to the Cincinnati Zoo today, first time I've been there in a few months and it was kinda nice to get quality food service, Kings Island could learn a few things from them. I went to the Skyline at the zoo, there was a line, it moved fast, the cashier knew what she was doing, and I got my food less than 30 seconds after I paid for it. Amazing how that works...
  13. Yes... I was kinda surprised they even offered it to me, it was 4:00 PM on a day they close at 8:00 PM, nobody drinks that much pop in the span of 4 hours... I hope.
  14. Whenever I see WindSeeker shut down first thing I say is "Well, looks like WindSeeker found its wind today". I still have yet to ride it because the few times I have been to the park with my daughter who isn't tall enough to ride it it has been shut down.
  15. That's what I kinda figured as well, I'm excited for the automated system and hope it works well opening weekend. Last thing you want is your season pass holders being held up in line due to technical issues.
  16. Question about the new toll booths... how are they going to enforce people sharing their passes to get free parking? There will be no visual confirmation a person is the actual pass holder, or do they not even check that now?
  17. The singers were no doubt talented, country music is meant to be played with REAL instruments though, which really killed the show for me.
  18. I have had hardly any issues with the dining plan, just have the cashiers properly trained is all I ask. I wish drinks were included but I don't see that happening as that is where they make the profit in the food services.
  19. I bought some ice cream at Graeters today in the park and they offered me the drink wristband, first time I had had that happen this year.
  20. I can't think of one thing that has been around since 1972 that I would want removed...
  21. It's the old building that used to have the Days of Thunder ride in it (can't remember off the top of my head what it was last called).
  22. I wish they would of included where they are doing the announcement... hopefully it's not just a Twitter announcement, especially if it's "major" news.
  23. And now we know when... https://twitter.com/KingsIslandPR/status/633720491895877632
  24. NOOOO I hope they're not removing the fence, that is the greatest fence in all the world! Really though, I would much rather see work be done on the train ride than see the removal of Vortex, Vortex is still stellar
  25. No way, that is definitely going to be a new smoking area.
