I don't think Surf Dog's load times are too bad, the one that seems like it takes forever and ever is the Kite Eating Tree, feels like they load you up, then it's re-arrange time, then it's re-arrange time, and so on. EDIT: Disregard except that I agree with Gabe lol, thanks for pointing out my mistake Magenta

I saw something similar on Woodstock Express last week. A girl was looking quite afraid to ride the ride and there was a supervisor nearby (at least I think she was, she was dressed nicer than the rest). The supervisor came over to the girl and talked to her really calmly and made the girl feel at ease to ride the ride. I thought the supervisor did an excellent job and it never seemed like she was pushing the girl to ride, just explained to her how the ride goes. I completely forgot about it until I saw this thread, I meant to give kudos to the supervisor at Guest Relations but forgot.

I got to ride SR&R the other night as the last ride of the night with the fireworks going off. SR&R new lights + WindSeeker up in the air with it's lights + fireworks = an awesome visual

Nope, I'm from the good ole bluegrass state, and even worse, the Northern Kentucky variety, so not even close to their target demo.
-
i agree, it is a fun ride, and it's at that 44 inch mark which is a very good thing when you have a young girl growing up that still hasn't hit the 48 inch mark but wants a ride that's more extreme than Woodstock Express.

I kinda want to check Kentucky Kingdom out just based on this thread alone lol. I wouldn't do it for anything over $20 though, so doubt that's happening.

That's weird that Festhaus would be closed on a holiday, even with the rain we had earlier. The no show today marquees are almost always up whenever I visit, even when there is a show.

Just imagine how awesome that second lift hill would be if it ended with a drop similar to The Beast double helix.
-
^ I had the same exact experience. Went early in the day and it had no lights on at all, the next time I rode in the afternoon the lights were on. Personally I like the ride with no lights on, kinda gives the ride more of an uncontrolled aspect to it kinda like The Beast at night.

There was a generic movie in there, it was about dinosaurs, and it was bad. Hardly anyone ever went to it, but part of that was because it was an up charge on top of Dinosaurs Alive.

Changes to 2015 dining plans (Update: not happening)
dtk1378 replied to malem's topic in Kings Island
I waited in line for 30 minutes to get food at Skyline today in Coney Mall (the one on IS was closed), hoping now that most of the kids are getting out of school they will have a larger staff that can handle the demand. To be fair to the dining plan, it seemed every food line was long, including the ones without a dining plan (Funnel Cake, Starbucks, Ice Cream in Planet Snoopy, etc.). -
One of the girls working the event tonight mentioned to me that their off night this year will be Tuesdays, didn't say the exact times though for the rest of the week. And I'll echo the sentiments of everyone else so far, Cirque Imagine was amazing tonight!

It was open when I went up there a few weeks ago, maybe just wasn't ready by opening day.

KCKC was a great log flume ride, it was removed for an even better ride, only to have that new ride now be an empty box used one month a year. Hindsight is 20/20.

Monster was down all day Tue and Wed as well, forgot to mention it on here. Hopefully not going the route of SRR.
-
By that logic TR:TR is the same ride as The Crypt. And no... they are not.
-
Awesome, thanks for the response, look forward to riding it in July at my company picnic!

Has anyone on here confirm/denied that the Scrambler is in fact removed? Or did I miss it?

Changes to 2015 dining plans (Update: not happening)
dtk1378 replied to malem's topic in Kings Island
The only changes (that came to fruition) for Kings Island's meal plan have been positive ones (addition of Panda Express, Subway, healthy options, etc). There was no major changes to Kings Island's meal plan halfway through the season last year and don't see Cedar Point's decision to make changes to their meal plan as an indication of what is to come for Kings Island. It is a different clientele up there and was only a change to something that was a last minute addition (from how it sounds). Some seem determined to want this meal plan to fail just because it doesn't market towards them. The only negative I have seen from the meal plan is that it seems to confuse the cashiers, but that was the same deal last year at the beginning of the year and by the end of the year there was hardly any issues with cashiers regarding the meal plan. -
Took part in this today, it was quite fun, probably around 30 people participated which is a pretty high number considering how light the crowd was at the park. Don did mention that he plans to do more of these this coming summer.

Just got done riding every coaster, now time for round 2
-
It's probably owned by the same company/person that owns kingsisland.com
-
This will be the first one I have ever been on, from how it sounds they are worth going on.
-
I was planning on being there Tuesday and now I am glad that I made that decision!

The park stated that the issue was a safety feature of the ride but the news anchor continued to give the idea that the park has a rash of issues by stating that this is the 3rd time this operating season that rides have been shut down (including Flying Ace Aerial Chase which wasn't even the ride shown, talk about journalistic integrity). So when a cash register goes down at a Starbucks should we call our local media demanding attention and expect it to be on the evening news?
