Yes, they could have and they should have. Any employee refusing to do so really deserves either disciplinary action or retraining.

Chrome for Android has printing capabilities built-in. It can even print to PDF if desired. Said PDF should be scannable at the park, they just might take the paper copy for the event at some point.

The non-passholder event ticket is $37 more than the passholder ticket. The passholder ticket states that a pass is required for admission. The other ticket states that it is valid for admission and has no such stipulation of any other ticket needed. Therefore, logically, the extra cost is for discounted admission into the park. I'll be corrected if I'm wrong, but that's how all events I've seen work. Use a pass for admission or a higher event fee includes admission.

Update: "Hi jsus, I apologize for the purchasing issue. Thanks so much for letting us know. You can now go onto the site and order your Coasterstock ticket without validating the Season Pass ID number. Just be sure to bring your CP Platinum Pass to Coasterstock when you come so that they can verify youre a passholder. Let me know if you have any other questions or issues. We cant wait to see you at Coasterstock! Abbey Abbey McMahon Area Manager, Marketing | Kings Island" You'll need to use a browser with Adobe Flash set up to access this special event ticket page.

Google Maps error: Kings Dominion "permanently closed"
jsus replied to malem's topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News
I've been reminded that it was indeed Carowinds that previously was marked "Permanently Closed" this off-season. -
My Cedar Point-issued Platinum Pass is not being recognized on Accesso's ticket ordering system. Don, you on here?

Google Maps error: Kings Dominion "permanently closed"
jsus replied to malem's topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News
It's not Google Maps getting confused. It's users submitting false data. Someone had to set it to "closed", otherwise it would just say not open today if it had no hours listed. -
^ Agreed. Also, I pre-ordered one of the "blueprints" that should arrive today.

Google Maps error: Kings Dominion "permanently closed"

It's not just KD.. I forget if it was CP, KI, or what, but one of the other CFEC parks was marked "permanently closed" and I submitted an edit, which was approved shortly. -
It'll be 3 years in 2016. Gatekeeper opened in 2013. That being said, I don't know how likely it is that they'll build an entire new coaster the year after the Mantarou transformation.

Bear in mind that if the $15 million figure is legit and is coming from Bolliger & Mabillard Consulting Engineers Inc. (herein known as B&M). Therefore, this figure would only be for a contract between Cedar Fair Entertainment Company (herein known as CFEC) and B&M to design, engineer, test, and perhaps construct a roller coaster. It does not involve other work that might be needed. Depending on the specifics of the agreement, things like construction, site work, and thematic elements may be billed directly to CFEC by other entities. Thus, the total purchase price quoted by CFEC for a new ride (should it come to fruition) would include these other costs for the total project. For instance, see the front gate renovations and ride entrance plaza renovations for Gatekeeper and Fury 325. Those are likely not included in the figure provided by B&M to CFEC. Please note that I have no direct tie to either B&M or CFEC. Therefore, everything I say is a matter of my personal interpretations. It's just another way of looking at things. Do not take it as guaranteed accurate. I cannot be held liable for your reliance on this information.

Like I said, I'll have to ask the park.

Hmm, I'll have to ask if other parks' Platinum Passes renewed by the end of post season will be accepted for the preview night. Presumably not.. Oh well.

Xlerator Hand Dryers Splatter Bacteria
jsus replied to The Interpreter's topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News
Speaking of which, our county department of health (and like other such organizations that are worth anything) recommends using paper towel to turn off any manually-operated faucet and open any inward-opening door. I am one to follow this suggestion, particularly because of the ones who do not. Touching the same faucet knobs/dials/handle/whatever after washing hands that you touched beforehand only results in germs going from hand to faucet back to hand. With manual paper towel dispensers, touching it with your hand, after others have done the same with less-than-clean hands, results again in germ transfer to your hand. Solution? Like Terp mentioned above, use your forearm (please don't kick the paper towel dispenser). But that's just me, since the whole idea behind washing your hands is to get rid of the germs that were there, not just to put them down temporarily before picking them back up. See also: Mythbusters showing that it doesn't really matter how long you have contact with a germ-infested surface. The vast majority if not all of the transfer occurs almost instantaneously upon initial contact. And don't even get me started on those industrial toilets.. They have a tendency to not just aerosolize fecal matter, but also to fling liquid toilet water and all its germs. I've learned to hide behind a door where possible, if I need to flush a toilet before using it. Which is often at an amusement park. -
Ah, yes, the beautiful gardens reserved only for the finest guests: smokers and Haunt attendees.

Sorry for the double post, but naturally I did not try that account at SIX's website. -
Gold/Platinum Pass Holder Benefits OUTSIDE of Kings Island

I already had an account from renewing my platinum pass through Cedar Point. The same account logged me into all parks' passholder sites that I tried. It didn't have my pass registered to it (for some strange reason) but I was able to even add that to my profile.
