  1. When you finally say "Yeah, it may be too cold to ride some coasters at KI"
  2. I agree with all of the above. It is like they have listened to us, as the comments I made early on in the survey were the same direction I wanted it to go. I have already signed up for the cup, so I am I hoping that if they go this route, I can change it over. I posed this as my question at Other Questions section
  3. Awesome 1) Waking my son up with a morning ERT on Diamondback 2) Diamondback night rides on a moonless night 3) Preview night after a long winter 4) A summer rain shower that lasts just long enough to cool things down and thin out the crowds 5) When the park stays open until 1AM during Haunt 6) How nice and polite everyone is on Pride Night Best 7) Beast rides at night in a middle seat 8) Blood Drums 9) The Garden Park 10) The transformed tower at Haunt Worst 1) Food line ques blocking the travel lanes 2) People who can not decide what they want to eat when they get to the front of the line 3) A lack of trays at Hanks, Skyline, etc 4) Food service at the beginning of the year 5) Line jumpers (did not seem as bad this last year though) 6) Cell phones / camera being used on the rides and nothing being done about it 7) Boo Blasters guns not working 8) When the park becomes a basketball court 9) When folks can follow "Seat Belt then Lapbar" which becomes "Up on #" 10) The round the curve to see what lanes I can use of the entry gate
  4. Diamondback, for all of the above, plus its a helluva night ride coaster!
  5. Beach Boys, Tears for Fears, and the best was Weird Al with a bunch of marching band friends and the assistant director!
  6. Just checked the weather for the area. Heres hoping they get the rain headed that way!
  7. Overall, I would say it was pretty good. My only not so good food experience was with Potato Works in Rivertown. The chicken was ok, but the fries gave me a heck of an upset stomach. Hanks was good, when you could catch it open. Chick-Fil-A lived up to its usual good standard. I love Skyline, but my body reminds me that it and coasters are not a good mix. A couple of things I wish they would fix / I find annoying 1) People in line who wait until they get up to the line to look at the menu and then try to decide what they want. Most of the places have only limited selection and are on the menus above. 2) Food line ques that block the traffic lanes. They need some temporary que markers that they can place out on busy days / night We got the meal plan and used it 87 times, so I would say that we got our monies worth. About the only time that we did not use it was closed nights or when we were so busy riding that we forgot about it. I agree that more drink stands would be good. Having people jump in line to get them is annoying
  8. When the weather finally gets cold enough that you quit saying "Why isnt the part open today" (Just check MT webcam and it looks to be flurries in the park)
  9. For Kings Island on a Saturday, FLP was $90 and FL was $75. I believe CP is higher.
  10. The current systems are ok, but I would like to see more fans with misters in the middle of the ques (looking at you Diamondback). But please, add a thermostat setting on them. I was in one on a 50 degree day and the fans were all blowing (not misting, thankfully). I realize that not all of them could have the misters (thinking Vortex and slick wood / steps). As for an AC que, I agree that would be pretty costly unless fully enclosed (Boo Blasters, FOF). I guess you could use the air showers like the shops, but it seems like a general waste of funds. I have not tried an eQue yet, but agree it would have to be a sturdy system. Those that have used them, once you are called/paged/beeped, how do you enter the lines?
  11. I never saw a camera on FOF, since I started returning to the park, so I can not comment on that one. I did have a hard time thinking that Firehawk did not sell well. That is the camera I really miss, as a lot of first time riders were really scared (myself included). I really miss that camera. I suspect it was something to do with Funpix and only having a certain amount of cameras. I hope that I am wrong and that the Firehawk one gets added back. I can definitely see one getting added to Mystic Timbers. I tried using the self serve kiosks at the beginning and end of the season. They tended to cut off incorrectly. The rest of the time I went to the operator and they would adjust them correctly. Other than adding back in camera, I would like to see them scramble the screens somehow so that they could not be taken with a cell phone. Also, move the screens to a place opposite the operator table (see Firehawk), if possible.
  12. Banshee does have fast dispatches. Sometimes too fast, in my opinion
  13. ^ No formal announcement. Just going off the signs on the park about Mystic Timbers on April 15th and figuring that Friday before will be preview night. If so, then my number is 154 (my bad on addiing). Maybe the park will open sooner and Mystic Timbers is the 15th. Heres to hoping.
  14. When you figure out days until preview night (it's 164)
  15. I will say this. I got my moneys worth out of it this year. 310 pix on there. The nice thing was the download all button the page. Overall, they went pretty well. I can only think of a couple times that the camera was not working or I forgot to turn in my front gate picture card.
  16. When you finally start to organize your photos and Funpix downloads
  17. When you get home on Friday at 6 and get the "Why aren't we on Diamondback look"
  18. 32 using pass and 1 on Pride Night. We did manage to get a trip to KK and Holiday World in as well.
  19. In line for Diamondback with a 45 minute wait. Kid in front of me is called back by his friend who says "Let's go ride The Beast. No one rides it at night". They left and I had a little chuckle
  20. Printing press then. Lol. I would say that is the only thing keeping it from being a 2.5 hour wait now vs 2 hours
  21. Maybe not. Diamondback crew is clicking like a machine
  22. Diamondback is about 10 minutes but that probably won't last long
  23. I am Not sure what is going on but Diamondback is stuck on the lift hill and two ride ops were heading up there
  24. We have hit the last 4 Sundays (car trouble or we would have hit 5). Last Sunday I was kind of surprised it was not more crowded, as the weather was great! Sure, lot of FLP folks in the line, but it was still shorter than the regular line. If I had my way, I would have cashed in our FLP on Saturday, but hey, its a free perk. I dont know if Cedar Point offer them, but at least at KI there is a dedicated Fast Lane. It would also be nice on The Beast if the Fast Lane was not going through the exit. I have a feeling that this Sunday will be about even with regular and FLP lines. Time will tell
  25. Wow. I just rode my 300th on Diamondback on Saturday in about as long at it has taken him to hit 3000.
