I think PKI needs to add "Cracked out, happy land". This area would be painted in extremely bright neon colors. They would play dance club style music all the time and at night have all these cool light effects. They could have misters to make it seem foggy without using a fog machine (since people are allergic to them). Then they could have paths that are bridges over a trench where one or two coaster would fly over and under them (not just in loops but in hills and turns). Preferably one coaster would be an Intamin hyper and the other a B&M floorless or speed coaster. Edit: originally that was supposed to be sarcastic, now that I think of it, it sounds really cool and I keep picturing more.

The huge slide that you rode in a potato sack was in the park in two different locations. It was originally located in Coney Mall, I think. It also was located in HBland for a while (that is where I remember it being when I was a kid).

Um... landlords aren't allowed to do that. That is invasion of privacy. They are only supposed to enter if you invite them in or for an emergency. Pretty sure there are laws about that.

Kings Island keeps all their old signs. I wouldn't expect them to part with any of them. The old PKI sign in front of the fountain is now the new PKI sign in front of the fountain. They just took it out of the dirt hill attached some supports to it and stood it up.

He said something about Kennywood this week.

All the tomb raider statues that keep apearing everywhere (at PKI and PKD, maybe other parks) have all come from the movies. They look bigger on camera because they use trick photography, green screens and computer animation.

I sat through Spellbound on friday. Sitting there waiting for the show to start you get to see a "see-thru" curtain with some decoration on it, and I thought that if its the same kind of decortion for the rest of the show, then it will look crappy. Though, once the show started and that curtain was pulled back the rest was kinda cool. What I didn't really understand was why they had dancers come out at the begining. I thought it would be cool if they just disappeared off the stage one at a time, but the best they did at that was "prance" off. Aparently they are there to take up time while the "Magestics" (the magician and his assistant) changed outfits and to semi assist in the illusions. The costumes... The magician and his assitant's costumes were kinda normal for what you see on any other magician and assitant. The costumes on the dancers, well they were decent until you get to the "ivy" costumes. Well at first you only see the girls and it looks ok with the leaves covering them and the vines growing up them. Then the guys come out and nothing out of the ordinary, the leave again covering them and no shirts but some vines. Well then they all end up turning around at some point and i thought they were all naked. They were wearing skin colored spandex (they did a good job matching skin colors). However, since they were so tight they were getting wedgies and it looked like you could see crack. The rest of the show was great, some cool illusions. Actually one of the best shows I've seen PKI put on.

They'll fit shockwave at PKD.

They are done with Action Zone for a while. They went away from there with Tomb Raider. They only came back because they knew for a while that they were going to take out King Cobra, but due to not bringing in another ride (a coaster which now is at SFWoA) that spot would be empty so they needed to fill it. What better choice than Delirium. I promise, for the next couple of years there won't be any big work being done in Action Zone.

So, if they were buzz bars, wouldn't that still be a lap bar? Just not the individual bars like today, and from what I understood the question to be, then yes it had some sort of lap bar.

We'll go through this one more time. Six Flags is no longer owned by another company. They are their own entity. Warner Brothers did own Six Flags at one point, but like I've pointed out, have sold the parks in 1998. (I found a press release about a law suit involving Six Flags and their former owners Warner Brothers which stated this) Proof.... If you go to Six Flags Great Adventure in New Jersey (was there just this past week) you will see their water tower. On one side they had painted the Warner Brothers logo on it. It is now painted over, very poorly I might add. Though do to this relationship they still have their rights the characters and the logos of the Warner Brothers. (ie Scooby)

Viacom owns Paramount Parks, which owns PKI, so yeah.

No, the track is in two different locations in the park, and the weeds around them is growing and the paint fading. So most likely you just can't see them anymore through the weeds. Hopefully it finds a good home soon. If, I had a couple million I'd buy it just to protect it from the rust pile.
-
Probably cause no one buys them.

Just to clarify, the similar ride to King Cobra was not in CA, it was in Virginia at Kings Dominion, while the similar ride to Drop Zone was in CA.

The park actually didn't stop selling alcohol until the year after the three deaths in the park, not the same year. Then a year later they brought it back.

Today, June 12th, marks Bubba Gump's as officially being open. The park invited members of the media to enjoy a completmentary meal and beverage from the bar. I was not invited to this event since I'm not in the media. I just happened to be sitting at home and got a craving for some shrimp, so I headed to the park. When I got to Bubba Gump's, I ran into a certain person in marketing who considered me enough of a VIP to grace me with a complementary meal and drink with the media. Score! I picked up the "Shrimp Po' Boy Sandwich", which is their beerbattered shrimp on a toasted bun with shredded lettuce, tomatoes, and I think tarter sauce served with fries and cole slaw. Since the sandwich is made right there infront of you, you can leave any of those things off if you choose. I'll have to say they did a great job with chosing the menu. The sandwich was great, even though some of the shrimp kept falling out. They just made for great finger food after the sandwich was done. Since I was there and the park was basically dead since it rained most of the day, I decided to ride some rides as well. Started off with Adventure Express. A full train was departing just as I got there leaving only me in the queue lines. I though, "Score, I'm going to ride alone", then some little bratty girls came and rode infront of me. Still a great little ride, even after having a just stuffed yourself and chugged a beer. I headed up to Action Zone and was going to hit Delirium cause I saw they weren't using any of the queue lines. However, something about seeing the workers spraying off almost one whole side of the ride with a hose and the female worker freaking out cause there was still puke on one seat just freaked me out. Plus it looked like they would be cleaning it for a while. So I headed to Drop Zone for my first ride of the season. (Insane, I know. I've ridden just about everything else mutliple times this year and it, not even once) Short line again, only had to wait for the current load to go then I was on. I love listening to hicks fall at 60 mph. Since I had not yet been on SOB with the new restraints I headed over there and walked right on to the front seat of the train pulling in. Some kid was there and asked to ride with me so I let him come along. I figured he wouldn't bite. He held on to that lap bar with dear life. It was great. I really forgot the padding had been put onto the lapbars during that ride. I didn't get banged around too much. We got back and there was basically no one in line so I jumped in a front seat of a middle train. Let me tell you, I was quickly reminded that the padding was put in place and I was thanking the park every bit for it. I would have come off bruised as can be if it weren't for them. I guess with the rain the track was a little more slick. Those two rides were some of the fastest rides I've ever had on that coaster, even though the trains were basically empty. Finally before I left I hoped on Delirium. The crew was going really slow, and were not letting people into the "pre-load zone" until the ride had almost finished and people were about to get off. Plus, like normal, the guests don't listen to the ride op who gives them a seat number and sits where ever they want. I saw this coming and since I was alone and had to put my sandels in the bins I just waited till everyone was seated to choose my seat. Its been three weeks since I've riden cause I haven't had time, but it was every bit as good as always. I just love seeing the park upside down. Before leaving I had to use the bathroom. Just as I walk in I hear some hick dad say to his son, "No need to wash your hand in a place like this" as he was walking out. I was sorta apalled, but it was still a humorous thing for me before I left.

You can buy Face/Off shirts I'm pretty sure at "Spotlight" in Action Zone. I know I've seen them this year, so I know they are still floating around.

Food service supervisor. I'd tell you a location but I don't run any of the stands. I work out of the office and am always going from stand to stand, so never in one place for too long.

It is against park policy to purchase or consume an alcoholic beverage while on duty or on break. Plus, employees are not allowed to purchase anything in the park while in wardrobe, so they first off wouldn't be served. Plus anyone coming into work drunk or getting drunk at work will be fired immediately. Don't worry, you're safe. Anywho, the park hired real bar tenders for the back bar. So its not going to be the usual people who sell the beer and don't really pay attention to the guests level of intoxication. Things will go smooth. And no, it is still park policy that you must stay on the patio with your beer/alcohol. You can not wonder the park with it. We do that so that we can make sure it isn't passed off to anyone under 21.

Maybe not black stuff but I have known a few guests to leave with brown stuff on their legs. No, they didn't soil their drawers. Someone forgot to let the picnic tables in the Picnic Grove dry after all the way after recieving their yearly paint job before putting them back out for use. Oops. From what I see the park is pretty darn clean compared to like the city of Cincinnati or some regular public parks I've gone to. Like DragonLord said, the main problem is people don't understand the concept of a "trashcan" but like I've said many times before... "Amusement parks attract rednecks". Today was proof... there was a family of six all wearing matching shirts that had some printing on them that said "hilly billy day". I do my part by picking up the big trash cause it just gets on my nerves just to see it, but cigarette butts and little stuff can wait cause its not that noticable to most people and I would be doing it forever. Its simple, I see stuff (usually right next to a trash can) as I walk around the park during my day at work and throw it out. I've been thanked by many members of management who've seen it cause most people just walk by.

From past years, Red Shirt Day had actually been on the first Sunday of June every year. This stopped a few years back when PKI first started selling out the park on that day. (Which was June 1st this year) It has yes, now moved though most people don't know that. If you are asking just because you want to know if it will be busy, then most likely it will be. Its a Saturday in June. There is already a few company picnics that I know about going on that day as well as Beastbuzz, an event from another site. If you are asking cause you want to know if a lot of gay people will be there. I can't tell, every year is different. There are always gay people in the park, either working or just as guests. Just most don't go showing "affection" like most straight people would with their significant other in public. That is why there is the Gay day in September, so that they can feel more apt to doing it in public without the threat of some redneck hicks (amusement parks draw them in like flies) getting upset and trying to kick their ass.

No one said happy birthday to me two weeks ago. Oh well, I know I'm not loved.
