Yes, the park did send out four tickets for pass preview night to all employees. So, if every employee gives out those tickets and they all show up along with season pass holders, friday night will be a busy night.

You had to ask the construction worker to figure out they were tearing out Gardens? Just look at the building, errr whats left.

Just have to say. Got back from Spring break and visited Carowinds. Now they have a new restruant called "Outer Hanks" (sorta a pun with the Outer Banks an area on the Atlantic Ocean in the Carolinas) that serves the Bubba Gumps food. I of course at there cause my old boss that now works at Carowinds treated me to it. I got the shrimp basket which was fried shrimp and fries. I thought it was great and if KI has the same food I'm sure its going to be very popular. They also have a fried fish basket and a fish and shrimp combo and some other things as well. I'm not sure if KI will have more or the same or what they are having exactly but I just know its going to be good.

A little delayed but always important. Just got back from spring break and hit Carowinds. They do in fact have metal detectors and have them for the employees as well. It doesn't really make me feel any safer cause I always felt safe before, it annoys me more than anything cause its a hassle. Though if it makes other people feel safe then I can't argue. Just as a note for all people to speed things up when entering. Make sure if you bring a bag (ie camera bag/purse) open every pocket cause it will be searched. Anything in you pockets take out and if not asked to put in a tray before you walk through, hold it up so they see what is causing the alarm (SFMM did this) I went through security checks at all 6 parks I went to over spring break and just learned how to make it quicker by being as ready for them as you can.

I really don't see what everyone is complaining about. Yes I will agree that people don't need to be drunk at the park but it shouldn't be a dry park either. Kings Island is one of the few parks that require you to stay in one stop to drink your beer. I know the signs say "No drinks behind this point" and some even say its a State law, well it isn't. Cedar Point, SFWoA both allow you to roam the park with your beer. I understand Kings Island wants it this way to make it safer which I agree it does. The park should never be dry cause it is everyone's right (well over 21) to drink if they wish. I don't think we should stop selling beer at any of the places we are selling it but make the area more controlable. Like gardens is surrounded on all sides and you can only leave through two areas, and its usually guarded or watched by the people on patio, same with festhaus and wings. The outdoor places need to have a fence of some sort built to contain the people and that way someone can watch them. I know it sounds like I want to cage everyone and have some person in ultimate control, but because of the mistakes some people make everyone else should understand its for the better and their safety, which is what Kings Island puts as #1 right before guest satisfaction.

I know I shouldn't say this and it isn't the easiest to get into and out of the park when you want, but if you plan on staying for most of the day. You could always find a park and ride parking lot, like say at Fields Ertel Rd then take the Metro Bus to the KI park and ride lot and walk to the front gate. Then you would only be paying bus fair which is cheaper and you have plan your arrival and departure around the bus schedule but its cheaper.

Another one bites the dust..... Don't ask why that song just popped in my head... Welcome aboard Mex.

No tunnels. Sorry. At least not right now there aren't any.

Some lines like SOB and the like they have people go around with little carts and sell lemon ade or the cart is at a certain point and people can buy pop or water as they go by. Other lines have pop machines in them or near them that also sell bottled water. Having people go around with just water to give away would eat up our labor cost and be a waste when it comes to a business stand point but would be great for guests. The park just needs install some tarps or roofs over some of the queue areas and add misters like they have at the "Coca-Cola Cool Zone" in front of The Beast. Now what would I like to see changed. To start, I would love to see all the path ways redone. Either some sort of paving brick or just more concrete. The black top is just ugly. Plus it is cracked all over the place and the park "re-surfaces" it every year with a fresh thin layer of tar or whatever though it doesn't do anything for the cracks and uneven-ness. True that would cause more stains to show and the landscaping department already sprays the whole park down everynight with a huge water truck, but couldn't they just bring around a pressure sprayer (Hotsy, since there are many of them in the park) to get up whatever the water trucks can't get. It may take another whole hour but big deal, it'll look nice. Staying on the landscaping thing. Certain "back areas" of the park are just not hidden well from the guests while they are walking around. Not going to mention where but in some places you can just see into the "service areas" of the restruants and merchandise stores. At the food stands its especially bad cause they can see us cleaning off the greasy equipment and its just looks bad. From a guests stand point, I wouldn't want to see what is going on behind the scenes like that if I was trying to enjoy the park. Having that hidden makes it easier to have them "lost in the world of wonderment" and be in a happy place, but walking along and seeing that can really throw them off and maybe be disgusted. There is more I would love to see changed but that is the main stuff. I just want to see the park look more "magical" and "beautiful" so that the guests don't realize that anything is going on beside what they are experiencing from the rides and shops and atmosphere.

Gee I wish I could close this cause you are flat out wrong.

No you can not copyright the lapbars but you can "Patent" the design. Basically the same thing but for mechanical designs instead of written material.

I might be able to get a hold of an ariel shot of the entire park from really far above. I'm just not sure how recent it is. Though yeah it definetly has The Beast in it and Flight of Fear so you can see the entire layout of it looking straight down.

The new upper managment of KI has seen what the park looks like. They have already stated the over the next few years that the park will get its "general" cleanup improvements, (eg new paint jobs and rebuilding stuff and making it look better) All this can't be done in one year. Mainly cause of money. There is a limiited amount of time to do everything. There are a limited number of people to do those things. Hiring more people only costs more, and maybe make them pay less attention to detail. Don't you worry guys. You will start seeing these improvements soon even if the park does deside to build something big. Just gotta let them take their steps and eventually they'll be back up running again.

I can't wait to learn how to make those fabulous "Crabby Patties" That would rock if we actually served those. Cause crab meat is so yummy. Looks like we may have to wait now until 2004 for some fish.

In picture 5, the land cleared behind The Racer turn around, yes that is where they now launch the fireworks everynight. It must be a large clearing so not to burn anything down in case of a dud (firework doesn't launch but still explodes). The "supposed" launching of fireworks from behind tomb raider... well yes they do launch some from back there. They have only done this twice though and both times were on the 4th of July. They first did it in 2001 while Tomb Raider was still being built, and they did it again in 2002. In the picture 4, the small yellow building that is to the left of SOB, not sure at all what that is used for. The two white things are old parking lot trams that have "gone out to pasture".

New Delirium and Scooby-Doo pictures!

Doesn't have to be high speed ride to be a photo booth. I got my picture on a Log Flume in california. The picture was well after the drop when you are slowly coming back into the station. There was even a recording telling you to look that way cause they were taking your picture. They could be doing this with scooby and that way kids can pose as "Charlie's Angels" or whatnot and buy their picture. -

Pretty sure its an on-ride photo or score booth. -
If you are talking about to the right of SOB, that would be Adventure Express and the sun just hitting on the "stone" cross-overs. Though there was some work down there, trimming back trees, nothing more.

Actually, I'm pretty sure that the old PKI logo is here to stay on that sign for a while. This is the second trip that the "sign guys" have made to the park in the last month. The first visit they checked out the light panel message board and replaced all the lights on the PKI logo, if you've been by at night you will notice its much brighter and all the stars work. From what I gather. They tried to fix the light up message part and were partially completed but the park wanted it to look perfect after many years of troublesome messages being displayed from a partially corrupt board. I haven't heard anything about the new sign being in color but that would rule. I assumed that the sign was just being replaced with a new one of the same time. We will just have to wait and see over the next few weeks.

I've ridden a scooby adventure before, definetly spending my time at Delirium -
Well another thing about FSS at carowind. Its not in the waterpark. Its in the main park. Nick only holds right to the name and the characters used to theme it. So, again since Viacom (Paramount's owner) owns Nick they can do as they please with it and rename it as will. They can use the same ride and give it a whole new name in a whole new area (eg. WW)
-
Nick.... doesn't own crap. Viacom owns Nick so they can do what they please. Plus who says it has to be called "Flying Supersaturator". They can easily name it anything they want.

I'm the perfect height. No problems here. HAHA

I'm Craig Ross and you're all fired. NO, RAISES for all!!. A boy can dream can't he?

I don't believe you! Only because you have the wrong year. Its the third ride for 2004. They are one upping Holiday Worlds Zinga and the where the slide ends in a funnel. Here the slide will end in a toilet and you will swirl round and round then down the hole. HEHE. I can see it now. The ride breaks down and you hear the whole line of hill-jacks yelling "Just jiggle the handle!"
