  1. Si, too bad I don't know Chinese or I would say yes in that language as well. Heck I don't even know Spanish but heck Si and No are easy.
  2. Pop companies can't say anything because they are only liscenced for the branches the company owns, and since the Subway at KI is not owned by Subway, Pepsi can't do anything. Look at Skyline. In Kings Island they serve Coke, any other Skyline in Cincinnati serves Pepsi. Oh yeah, remember those fun pop cups through out the park that blast "Coke" down your throat. Well.... no more. Most people who go to KI or other Paramount parks are not aware that Paramount has other parks through out the country, thus start looking for the Paramount Parks logo along with each individual park logo on more items this year, including pop cups, fry containers, hamburger boats (the containers you get your burger in), as well as the dining packets you use in the picnic grove.
  3. You'll just have to get in line behind me.
  4. Try... can't serve alcohol before 1:00pm on Sundays.
  5. Don't forget Dude Ranch, that was high quality programing.
  6. You are quite wrong my friend. Alcohol was only out of the park for a year and a half after she fell out of Flight Commander and the guy fell in the lake behind Oktoberfest Gardens (both on the same day). I have worked in food service since 1998 and I can tell you we had alcohol back then, thus proving your statment of no alcohol until 2002 very wrong. It is true alcohol is only allowed in certain areas of the park even though their liquer license is good for the entire property including campground and parking lot. This park policy in order to help protect the safety of our guests. We want to be sure we can keep an eye on everyone and to cut them off if they are too drunk and to call security to escort them to first aid to cool off.
  7. For Xtreme Skyflyer, they actually have multiple departments operating it. Games: Sells tickets to get on ride. Rides: Prepairs riders and puts them on the cables Merch: Sells the video.
  8. Well you hit 2003 on the nose. That has been known though for a long time. The park has talked to some companies about a new ride for 2004 but haven't made a final decision as of yet.
  9. Oh yeah, forgot to mention All Star. Yeah, All Star used to make subs. That stand will no longer be All Star yet again. (That stand changes names all the time) The park did some research and found an Asian food company that was also at Six Flags Worlds of Adventure. They will be taking over the location of All Star this year obviously with a name change.
  10. As far as order of completeness for clones. Face/Off is a clone of Invertigo at PGA, Invertigo opened a year or two before Face/Off Runaway Reptar is a clone of Silver Streak at PCW, Silver Streak was build a year before RR. Flight of Fear is a clone of Flight of Fear at PKD, however, both opened the same year. So out of the clones, only one wasn't build after another one, however, our versions are not the same name or color scheme as the other ones, thus not completly cloned like the B:TR and S:UF clones going in at Six Flags, thus we are at least creative.
  11. The Subway will not suck. We have had some of our management out working in area subways recently. Since Subway is the fastest growing food chain in America we decided to jump on board and get one. From what I've been told we will serve more than just 6" subs, so both 6" and 12". Also, they haven't decided yet if we will do any hot subs or not. For those sad that Sweet Tooth will be closed, don't worry you can get Ice Cream across the street at It's Fried along with Funnel Cakes all day long. No, that doesn't mean Street Funnel will close, they will still be there just only open in the afternoon like they currently have operated.
  12. The only way they would hide a ride is by not announcing it. They would not keep all the track and supports anywhere in the park because the paths inside the park are not strong enough (not made of the same material as the parking lot) thus would buckle and warp from constant weight being applied until it is put in place. They wouldn't put them on the access roads because they just aren't wide enough to store track and drive down plus half of them are on the side of a hill going up or down it. If they got a wild mouse I would probably think they would clone Ricochet, but I don't see a wild mouse in our park, at least for a while.
  13. There is no problem with it being on a Thursday. The park would do it. Makes it easier to control noise and things.
  14. No. They only have one 3D camera and are not going to buy another at the time being.
  15. They current do show two seperate shows. A 3D show on one side (7th Portal) and a normal one on the other (Meteor Attacks). The 3D show will be replaced this year as the third attraction.
  16. The third SOB trains are definetly not in the barn. They are elsewhere now temporarily. Trust me, there is no new coaster for 2003, maybe 2004 like the title of the topic says. The third ride is known by almost everyone but you won't hear the park advertise it until after the park opens because it will not open with the park come April 12th. A new ride will be coming in 2004, though not sure if it is a coaster or not. Though if not the coaster will be coming soon there after.
  17. Ready for Magic, live from Las Vegas?
  18. PKI gets all the money from that ride. It is their ride.
  19. Six Flags Saint Louis is not "getting" a clone of our ride. They had their scooby ride before ours. I was there last year and it was open. Ours is completely original because we are using a pre-existing layout from PT just rethemeing it.
  20. I believe Vortex at PCW is not a complete clone of Top Gun, though I could be mistaken. If so than there is really 4 clones, Runaway Reptar, Face/Off, Flight of Fear and Top Gun (though that is iffy) Though they are not cloned as same theme except Flight of Fear they were built at the same time.
  21. The show in Action Zone was not shut down due to Columbine High School. If you remember near the end flames shot out of the top of the tower. They always had to have a fire and safety person present for that incase something goes wrong. Plus, because of the possibility of something going wrong with the flames, maybe shooting 20 ft in the air instead of 5ft, they could not run Skyflyer at the same time. So they shut down the show because of the large crowds that gathered and blocked the entrance/exit to the area (a safety hazard seen by the fire and safety personel) and the inability to run a "pay-for-play" ride. The less they could run Skyflyer the fewer people that could go on. The fewer people that could go on in a day meant the less money they made. The park is all about money, if the tower wasn't in the place that it was in, then you might still see that show.
  22. Jeff is one to play with words. SpongeBob is the third attraction and it is in the action fx theatre. To get in those seats, most people have to "jump" up because they are elevated so your feet don't hit the floor. He is a very tricky one, that Jeff. Now if only I can solve that mystery about why the land clearings were mentioned. Probably is nothing, but just picking away in the back of my mind.
  23. I don't think they need as much shelter as much as they need those fun little misting fans. Though some trees would be good to block out sun as well.
  24. Those helicopter guys are good. I'm sure they take care of what they need to in order to stay in the park. On a side note about them: In order to persuade the park to bring them in, they had to show "What if the engine fails? Will it crash" The pilots took a few of the VP's up for a flight and then turned off the engines to simulate an engine failure. They were able to land that stear it still and land it perfectly inside a parking space in the middle of the parking lot. Now that is impressive with no engine power and just the momentum of the blades still keeping the helicopter up.
  25. The pool people are normal crew people, they just are needed somewhere else for the day.
