Things I would like to know...
Well, it was easy to see the similar ride at Six Flags Saint Louis because theirs was closed when i visited in October. To get to the queue of Mr. Freeze you pass over their rapid ride and it was empty so all the tubes were visible.

I would assume the chain link is used for water disruption yes. If that is really the purpose you might ask why are they using something so cheap. Why not. White Water Canyon uses very simple items in the bottom of the chanel to produce the currents and waves desired to make the rapids. These consist of simple things such as a wood log, or coragated metal tube. Don't need to be too fancy when it is just going to be covered in water.

Scooby Doo sneak peek pics
Flying scooters was once where the dodgems is now. (I think) Dodgems used to be in the building next to the scrambler which now houses the virtual reality, squirtgame and one of the games storage areas. (Again, I think)

Nope carosel moved to the park in 1972 when they relocated from old Coney Island to now Kings Island, hence the reason that area of the park was once known as Coney Island.

If you right click on that picture and look at properties, Shaggy has it saved as "pki1975.jpg" so it is a snipit from the 1975 map. I think Shaggy mentioned before somewhere that Coney Mall was once called Coney Island and then changed.

What is Coasterbuzz's Beastbuzz2003?
Yeah, there is usually a walk back as well where you go behind the scenes and see The Beast or Son of Beast.

PKIU eShop
I found it funny, I was just trying to be the voice of reason. Its like I find myself saying everyday at the park: "This is a family park, not a park for making families!" You gotta have fun somehow right. Plus I don't think too many people would really enjoy my thought of wearing a thong over your pants to KI. Especially not if I decided to walk around in Nick Central.

PKIU eShop
Whoa! This is a fan site for a "family park" lets keep in the family here.

PKIU eShop
You can always buy one and wear it over your pants at the park. That'll get people's attention.

PKIU eShop
Hey Aaron I think you forgot to put a link on the main page for the new E-shop. Once this thread dwindles away not many people will know about our new stuff. Though there is the link in the forums (next to the home link)

Delirium Movie
Like I said though, don't do it unless you have proper approval by the park. They will make sure everything is safe before the train leaves the station.

That is unusual because you are supposed to get paid ecology pay if you work for them. I know anyone from rides who works in food service for a day gets paid food service pay if they don't already make as much.

Changes for 2003!
Bob you may not know but you've probably seen me before. I've probably covered a shift for one of your supervisors. I know how the Coke caddies work with the water, too bad they are all beat up and most of them do leak. I see it everyday when walking around the park. I have complained about the appearance and I know some other people higher up have too since a lot of what we do is based off first impressions. Very slowly some of the carts are starting to get their own "cement platforms" leveling off the ground to keep the drainage away from the middle of the walkways. Though they don't want to put them everywhere because like you said, they are carts and are supposed to be portable. Though its too bad most really aren't, since they have to be near an electric outlet and some have to be at a water hook up for pop (or for the luxiurious dip'n'dot carts that have sinks) So those larger carts (the dip'n'dot carts) should be in their own little platform everything else is fine.

On-Ride Photo
Keyhole photo is not run by Kings Island at all and I don't think they ever have been. It is an outside vendor that has many locations across the country (other parks and at beaches and stuff). So they are responsible for fixing all their own things (unless it is something the park provided, such as the building or electric)

Changes for 2003!
You are very right fyrfyter. All that stuff building wise in Coney Mall is original and starting to show it. They need to re-build/remodel each building and ride areas to make them look brighter and better. Its a proven thing that bright colors make people happy which means more people will return (hence the reason Action Zone is red, yellow, blue and white). I would love to see some neon signs and things making the area look more retro or more like its was from the 50-70's since it was modeled after old Coney. Though what I think would be really good is to move that candy/merch shop right at the entrance someplace else. Its good that its there for traffic into and out of the shop, but from Oktoberfest area it makes it look like nothing is back in Coney Mall cause its all hiding behind that building. With that building either moved back or removed people would see in and think "wow this is a nice looking area" and some people might even reminese (spelling) about being at old Coney. Then another thing, I would love to see that stupid Dip'n'Dot cart moved. I hate it just being right there in the middle. While they are busy they pack that thing with a "Coke Caddy" for all the contour pop bottles and that thing leaks water as the ice melts, which then runs down across the entrance and into the drain by the basketball game. Just makes the area look unappealing. Move it off to the side and do like they did with other cart locations, actually give it its own cement landing with a drain and the likes so it looks like it fits in with everything, like it is supposed to be there rather than just plopped in the middle of the path. I could go on but you all get my point. Hopefully.

Delirium Movie
Not always, I have heard people having to use a surgical glove and duct tape the camera to their hands so it doesn't come lose. Other ways are mounting helmet cams or other things. Its really not too difficult if you have the stuff.

On-Ride Photo
Well all the pictures are now digital this year, not sure if that started last year or not. That is fixing a lot of the old problems they used to have. My cousin worked for them and occasionally I would help them out at night after I got off waiting for him. They had to develop the film themselve which could get ruined and cause guests to get ****ed off. They had to reload the film canisters themselves, and carry like 6 rolls with them at a time. Once developed they had to cut out those little pictures for the keychains for every picture. Then at the end of the night if no one bought the picture they had to open all the key chains and empty the pictures. It was really difficult. Though obvisouly you are going to have problems no matter which way you go but I'm sure they had much less now with the digital stuff.

Unless you have permission from the park before you shoot it!!

Who's Excited?
You could have been like me and have everything waiting and just staple the W-2 on and mail it out this morning.

Funny/Stupid things you did at PKI
They mainly tell you to keep your head back for the launch so you don't get whip lash or what not from your head snapping back.

Did you hear about the Animal Attacks?
I thought it was dedicated to one of the construction managers that had worked in the park since it opened until the year AE was built? I don't know, I think someone had a picture of the plague on a website. If I can't find it that will be the first thing I look at when I get into the park.

Missing Rides
I'm not too big into Stand-ups anymore, though I sure do miss King Cobra. Any type of new steel from Intamin or B&M would just be great. A new skyride (Jeff I hope you hear me) would be lovely between The Beast and Son of Beast. A train around the whole park or a monorail??? Of course though, the park just needs a new version of Skylab, what a fun ride that was.

PKI.com Posts New Pics
That is Psyclone at Canada's Wonderland (one of KI's sister parks). It opened last year but theirs is made by a different company and Huss decided to make one larger to go with their "LAND OF THE GIANTS!!!" theme. So, ours will be much taller and swinger farther and higher. By the way, if I'm correct that video was shot by Iain Henry. It looks like his video on another site.

Most Years Worked
Well when that job turns into a career and you are the person running things, there is nothing wrong with that.
