The couple in bed and the Boocifer gravestone in the beginning rarely work as well.

2015 KIC Off Season Poll Series Week II: Park Area Change

Put German food back in the Festhaus, for just a small change. It would definitly bring the theming back. -
2015 KIC Off Season Poll Series Week I: Last Ride of 2015

I'm a bit late, but congratulations on 300 Vortex rides, VortexBFForever! -
When Kings Island starts posting videos and pictures of the Royal Fountains drained, the trains from Shake, Rattle and Roll being removed, etc. on their Instagram page.

If a dark ride does come (fingers are crossed) I would not want it to be a bunch of screens. To me, that just isn't a dark ride. It's like a movie that you are inside of. To me, a dark ride has to be with physical props. A Wild Mouse coaster in the Crypt building actually sounds like a good idea! Maybe, with the Rivertown theme, it could be themed to a haunted mine, perhaps? Or it could be a return of Phantom Theater with the characters interacting with the track (Example: Maestro could curse your car before going down a hill or backwards).

2015 KIC Off Season Poll Series Week I: Last Ride of 2015

It ended up being Boo Blasters three weeks ago, because I didn't know that that was the last time I would be at the park this season. -
Loved those photos of the Phantom Theater remnants! I'm too chicken to go to Haunt at night, so I loved seeing the photos of the props in the mazes. I was really excited when I saw the Phantom Theater crates used in The Beast queue when I went during the day and the busts in Boo Blasters. Sounds like a fun time!

Awesome video! When do they have these? Does Kings Island say when the next one is on their website or what?

The Great Pumpkin Coaster: Pumpkin Patch (thoughts)
KIghostguy replied to SingleRiderAfter1's topic in KI Polls
That's an interesting idea, actually. It would ddefinitly add something to look at, and the ride isn't the Great Grass Coaster. Maybe it could be just temporary to be put up in October? -
Volcano + Raccoon=not pretty

And I thought regular roadkill was gross... -
Welcome to KICentral, Keeperpanda!

It loaded fine on my iPad. The poll results were very interesting-I thought that Phantom Theater or Enchanted Voyage would be the most missed ride, instead of SOB. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

I arrived at Kings Island at about 12:40. The Eiffel Tower was operating, and I was able to take the elevator up. The lower platform was the one open, and I had never been on it. International Street was decorated with gravestones of past rides, which I thought was a neat little detail. Banshee was next-I was able to walk right on. Nothing new about it. After, I had some Dippin' Dots. The Racer was also a walk-on, and was actually smoother than my previous rides on it. It was still rough, but it was smoother than before. The Beast had a relativly long line, but it moved fast-I'd say it was 15-20 minutes or so. The hill was slow as usual, but other than that, nothing new. Boo Blasters was my final ride. I was able to shine an iPhone flashlight through the boards in the hallway, and it was really cool seeing the old busts! The line was long as well, 20-25 minutes. The Boocifer gravestone at the beginning was working, as were the skeletons in bed and the Boocifer at the end. Many of the targets were out, and the tourist getting chased by skeletons was also broken down. I actually got the most points out of any of my previous rides on Boo Blasters-1,140-something. I left at about 3:30. It was a fun time with great weather and small crowds for most rides.

Yea, I usually go on Sundays in October because no mazes and no crowds!
-
Are there any props out in the open during the day? Or are they just in the mazes?

I'm so scared to go to Halloween Haunt, I wouldn't go there even if I did buy a No Boo necklace, to be honest.

Best Roller Coaster for a first time visitor
KIghostguy replied to TheBeast84's topic in Kings Island
No matter what ride you go on first, the two rides at Kings Island that you absolutley, positivly, cannot miss are The Beast and Banshee. There are no other coasters like them that I have ridden. Then again, I'm not terribly well-traveled in the category of amusement parks. Still fantastic rides and not to be missed. The Racer is a classic and original to the park, and it's also a "don't-miss" for me. The Bat is a dying breed of coaster (Arrow suspended) and as such is worth a ride. Adventure Express and Backlot Stunt Coaster are relativly tame but still worth a ride. The Eiffel Tower is a nice break from the roller coasters and provides a cool bird's-eye view of the park. I hope you can make it to Kings Island someday. It's a wonderful amusement park. -
I saw the eyes Sunday. Really creepy and great touch.

Hello everyone! I've never done a trip report before, so here I go. I arrived at Kings Island today at about 3:40 or so. As soon as I walked in, I headed for Action Zone, and devised my usual plan of action for attacking the park: move from left to right. I first went on Banshee, and I literally hopped right on with no wait. The ride was a tad bit rough, in a good way of course, as always. Because the ride still had no wait, I immediatly hopped right back in line and got right back on. After this ride, I went over to The Bat, which also had no line. Nothing new here, but still fun as always. Adventure Express was next. I had forgot about how much Adventure Express whips you around! Still a lot of fun, though, and again, no wait. Next up was The Racer, which again had no line for where I was sitting on Blue. As we climbed up the lift hill, I noticed the old cars from Days of Thunder had been tossed in a pile in a field behind the Plush Barn. The ride was very rough, it had lots of airtime, and was lots of fun. I'm glad that Kings Island still has fantastic wooden roller coasters in their original form unlike Six Flags. I was going to go on WindSeeker, but it looked closed, and Backlot Stunt Coaster had a long line, so I headed over to The Beast. This was my very first time on The Beast this year, and it came with a few surprises! First, the lift hill was faster than usual. Again, I had not been on The Beast since last year so perhaps I had just forgotten, or maybe it had been this way all year. Also, for those of you who don't know, I hate the feeling you get when you go down the hill, but this time it was very faint. To give you an idea, the feeling is strong (for me at least) that I've never been able to smile for the camera, but this time I was able to. I had forgotten what a great ride it was! For those of you wondering about the line-it was the longest all day, but it was short compared to other days-I would say about 10 minutes long. After The Beast, I left the park at about 5:50. Unfortunatly, the Eiffel Tower was closed, so I couldn't say hello to Johnny, and try as I might, I was not able to pick up on anything stupid other people said to post about in the "Dumb Things That Guest's Say" thread. Also, because I was tight on time, I wasn't able to get on Boo Blasters to examine the Phantom Theater busts behind the boards. It was a great day, very short lines, and I was able to get on some of my favorite rides.
