  1. Fresh paint on Vortex station and all 3 trains. Really makes me excited do for how great it could look with a fresh coat on the ride itself... But thankful for the investment none the less. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. One idea I had to prevent line jumpers would be to do something like stamp hands at the cue entrance of the line.. And then once you got to the official/permanent entrance for timbers they would check and confirm you had a stamp before letting you proceed. Even better would be a counter stamp, the person checker would just keep seeing numbers increasing throughout the day and would know that the order coming on matched the prefer people got in line. 3. The only non coaster I saw was dodgem. The "worst" coasters I saw (at least in terms of typical wait time) was Adventure Express and racer. Overall, prizes seemed pretty good. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. Last one for today, New hut for the sound person at the fountain stage for off the charts (and peanuts gang show) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. Also a new drink refill station by beast, near the Rivertown la Rosa. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. Noticed this new planter location in the field behind the tower, near the generally closed smoothie stand. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. New line cue at chick fil a. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. We just left. Way too many people for this to be enjoyable. Great weather, holiday weekend, and the fact that this year all good passes get in (vs only those who renewed early). Here's a picture of the line to get into the park when I was leaving at 6:30. This is after security, and before the turnstile... There's a larger mob waiting for security. If you need to process a new pass, forget about it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. just because it stops being full service, doesn't mean you can't go in there and eat your meal sitting down. If it speeds up the process, I'm all for it. Honestly it's not like the servers were really adding much value to the process. There may still be a full service option in the new smokehouse. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. What was on the river town potato works meal plan that wasn't offered in a different venue? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. I really expected the dining plan information would be published by now Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. If they add Tom and chee, then it's like adding 1.5 in return (0.5 for Soak City). I'd personally round that up to 2 because both the bbq and Tom add menu items that completely didn't exist on the meal plan before (vs red and potato works which basically had more burgers and chicken strips as the meal plan option). 13. Was the dining plan logo removed from the app at some point? I know reds was removed from the dining plan on the main website... So I figured that they just hasn't updated the app yet... But if the logo was removed and then was recently added back, that sounds promising. (Although my understanding was that making updates to the app required an outside vendor... So I'd be surprised if they removed reds, added reds back, and never did anything for the smoke house) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. Um.... Going to soak for "photography purposes" doesn't sound like a weird feeling that anyone should "get over"... Now I have a weird feeling. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. So no update on which meals will be included on this year's meal plans... But I'm pretty sure this page is new. I emailed a few times last season to ask about other gluten free options but wasn't ever able to get an answer. https://www.visitkingsisland.com/dining/special-dietary-needs Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. Has anyone seen any updates on the BBQ place that I thought was going in Soak City? Or any word on if Tom and Chee will be back this year? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. More than a giga, I'd like to see correct spelling in thread titles. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. All lanes of KI drive are open and freshly paved in both directions. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. Kings Island drive north has all three lanes open. They still need to do the final coat of blacktop, but the road is fully open. Southbound still has limited lanes. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. I don't know... But when you use a dining plan at any food location you can see on the cash register a reduced price that shows up. I assume that is the price that Kings Island pays the food vendor (and thus that's the amount they count for their daily sales total). If I recall, the values I've seen are in the ~$7 range per meal. 21. It's unfortunate they aren't setting them up for success. I'd assume vendors make less on dining plan costumers, but I assume they still make some profit. Plus dining plan holders would bring their friends or buy extra items occasionally. If this season is a test, it seems destined to fail if they can't get essentially free word of mouth advertising from the pass holders. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. Rumor has it that the guys at the stand are saying they won't be part of the meal plan this season. Anyone able to confirm this tonight? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. During the "summer" Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  24. There's actually 4 during the dinner... And the one in Soak City told me the same thing when they ran out of the pizza dipping sauce. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  25. Thought I'd start posting the end of season food outages... River town la Rosa apparently is out of the cheese for the breadsticks and told us they aren't allowed to get any from the other la Rosas. And so it begins. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
