CoastersRZ
Interesting article. Although, Channel 5 is perhaps the worst television station in the Cincinnati area, IMO. Did anyone see their terrible coverage of the WEBN Cincinnati Bell Fireworks over Labor day weekend?

Seven
Music to my ears! I'm still a little down about losing the original House of Nightmares by Mt. Vernon, so this is wonderful news. Ann is stoked too, so we'll definitely be there! -Steven
Dvo
Yee haw! I've been to Fearfest 4 different years now, and there have only been a few haunts that really scared me. The Curse of the Pharoah (name?) circa 2003 perhaps really scared me, and the Psychopath got me good last year, but that was only because we went through right as the park closed so we were the only people in it. YIKES! I hope this year all of the attractions are terrifying
Browntggrr
Well it is a good thing that the name was changed. Now I really wonder how many people are going to complain that their 8 year old was too scared and that the park should have let people know about the changes. It's bound to happen. Smitty
Halloween Haunt is still free to passholders for this year right? My friend said she knows some people who are working Halloween Haunt and they said pass holders don't get in for free.

specialk141
“We advise before you come through the gates, no one, no thing is off limits.” no one... does this mean actors will be able to interact and physically touch guests? i hope so. i love hants where people grab me from behind... little extra scare. i doubt very much because of insurance liabilities that this will be possible.... but i guess we can hope! The Interpreter
I am quite certain that will NOT be allowed. If it is, it may well be the last such event at the park. We live in a time where the consequences of that could be very, very ugly....and litigation might be less of a problem than physical interactions from some guests that may not be very pretty, to say the least. Fight or flight lives just below the surface of at least a few of the guests, and that isn't something the park needs. So, I'd say the "no touching" the guests or the scaracters rules will continue...
Browntggrr
So, I'd say the "no touching" the guests or the scaracters rules will continue... For some reason, probably lack of sleep, I had this image of hauntguy running around people, arms and hands flailing while screaming "I'm not touching you! I'm not touching you!" UncleHenry
You guys know why it's going to be so much more intense this year right? Because I'll be a monster, and you really don't want to run into me on the streets of Rivertown. You'll have nightmares for weeks... *insert evil laugh here*
The Interpreter
Yah, the guys know... The question is "Does Karen know?" --Terpy, being evil
RingMaster
Season Passholders get in free this year. Next year, ya'll need to start paying to get into the event. No joke, mateys. ....oh yeah, and I changed my nickname to Maniac, for the complete wild and unpredictable mannerisms one actor (read: ME) can do. If you see a creeper on the ground lying in the fetal position, then crawling up to someone's ankles, and finally hopping up on a planter ledge and screaming like a howler monkey all in the matter of a split second.... ....yeah, that'll be me. UncleHenry
And is a monster creeps right on up to you and growls into your ear "Manah manah", that would be me. I'm giving myself the nickname Muppet for that very reason.
hauntguy
Actually, HHN at Universal is throwing there "touch" policy out the window. Now, actors can "touch" you, just not "grab" you! Also, some scareactors ARE allowed to touch the guest, but only when asked or agreed upon with the guest; like if someone wants to shake hands, hug, or pose for a picture. Is anyone going to the RIP party tonight? I'm going, so I might see you there! -Hauntguy
mikejenkins1
I am pretty sure when we were at CP a few years back it was stated in a guide or on signs that the monsters were explicitly told not to touch and would not. They may reach out at you and accidentally touch but they were instructed not to do so. Agreed there could be many law suits if they did and if they do, what kind of wording is out there about this and what they really can do. I can see that getting way out of hand and getting nipped in the bud quickly.
flightoffear1996
Man I can't wait till this years Halloween Haunt. Its the best time of the year. There is nothing better than a fog filled theme park so thick you can't see two inches in front of your face. The only sad thing is that the season is coming to a quick end. KIBeast
So true, FOF. My favorite quote: “You name it, they'll be coming after you with chain saws, hacksaws, knives (and) axes,” Helbig said. I was scared quite a few times last year. Let's see if they can kick it up a notch or two this year.
flightoffear1996
They only things that scares me at Haunted Houses are the chainsaw guys. They get me everytime. I know they don't even have a chain on them but they still freak me out.

flightoffear1996
I will be there every Saturday that Halloween Haunt is open. I just can't get enough of this event. Anyway we should have a meet on one of the days.
Neon
Oh my gosh! I'm going to have nightmares just by reading all this stuff! I' nervous about going already. And a question about the monsters roaming the park. What do they do while they roam the park?
The Interpreter
Why, they do what monsters do!
