Rivertown Construction Goes Vertical

If I'm looking at those pictures correctly, there's an extra section to the layout that isn't shown in the overhead plans we saw in the Dayton Daily News. It looks like after the splashdown the coaster is going to curve up toward that section of ground near the walkway leading to the Eiffel Tower. Are there support foundations in that area?

In the first picture posted, some of the supports closest to the smoothie stand seem kinda high to be the break run/transfer track.

That's kinda what threw me off at first, too - and why I started thinking after the splash down it was going to curve around up toward the Eiffel Tower direction. But I imagine that's how high the track will be at the station. After all, the blueprints show steps leading up to the loading platform.

^^Don't you agree, 'terpy, it still feels weird loading Great Bear at the ground level!?!

Yes, but that whole coaster is so very, very strange. It runs as if it is in slow motion, it has very funky supports, and it feels like no other B and M. Needless to say, I love it. Then again, I adore SooperDooperLooper too! And Condor! Oh, let's be honest, I just love Hersheypark!

Those higher supports are apparently for the roof of the station, while the lower ones are for the track, or floor.

Ohhhhhhhhh. Well that makes sense. Thanks! I was starting to think it was going to have a drop into the final curve before the station.

I noticed this piece of the lift hill track in in the Swan Lake construction site:

The rest of the photos I took this evening:

And as always, some panoramas:

EDIT: See the post from Monroe below. That's more likely transfer track than lift hill track. Mea culpa.
