tigellinus Posted October 8, 2008 Posted October 8, 2008 this may be a rather ' STUPID' question but....... Were exactly will the train and queuing station be? Many believe it will be south...towards Nick U. The good news is I did some scrutinizing this past Saturday, and it definitely appears the Swan Lake path should re-open next year after D-back work is complete!
Reclaimer Posted October 8, 2008 Posted October 8, 2008 Well it looks like they've adjusted the camera a bit
Reclaimer Posted October 8, 2008 Posted October 8, 2008 darn! I haven't been able to keep up with the cam the past few days due to work and classes. I'm always a little late to the game. haha
Beast1979 Posted October 9, 2008 Posted October 9, 2008 I think they should get some work done today now that it's quit raining.
KIlover123 Posted October 9, 2008 Posted October 9, 2008 ROFL...they covered it up..  (idk if they can get any work done..)
CoastersRZ Posted October 9, 2008 Posted October 9, 2008 Wow, its really still that foggy up at Kings Island? I drove through a ton of fog to get to UC this morning, but right now the sun is out and the sky is free from any clouds or remnants of fog.
Go Browns Posted October 9, 2008 Posted October 9, 2008 After it didn't clear for awhile I thought there was an issue but it looks like its clearing up now.
RailRider Posted October 9, 2008 Posted October 9, 2008 I was just checking out the webcam and you can start to see the track finally. Must remember that Diamondback is situated in all those trees and in somewhat of a valley. I think the fog will tend to hang around Diamondback back in the valley which could make it an even better ride on cool nights.
Beast1979 Posted October 9, 2008 Posted October 9, 2008 I doubt they would want to be lifting big heavy pieces of steel 50+ feet in the air in fog, so I doubt they get anything major done today.
RailRider Posted October 9, 2008 Posted October 9, 2008 Well the fog has lifted, but depending on the amount of rain the ground may not be suitable for lifting today. I dont think it rained that much though.
Beast1979 Posted October 9, 2008 Posted October 9, 2008 Well the fog has lifted, but depending on the amount of rain the ground may not be suitable for lifting today. I dont think it rained that much though. Some areas recieved more than others, and you can never be to safe.
HTCO Posted October 9, 2008 Posted October 9, 2008 I live 2 minutes away from KI. It didn't rain at all this morning. It was just very foggy so they probably didn't get anything done... I love it, I can walk out of school, look to the left and see the big red beautiful crane....
KIlover123 Posted October 9, 2008 Posted October 9, 2008 omg..that would be just.... too good to be true.
BoddaH1994 Posted October 9, 2008 Author Posted October 9, 2008 Latest from the desk of Don Helbig: Just a little tidbit from under the black hat. Season pass holders will be the FIRST to have the opportunity to experience the 230' steel monster.... but more on that later.
Jasper Posted October 9, 2008 Posted October 9, 2008 Wow nice pic update. Oh snap season pass holder preview day woot woot!
Delirium13 Posted October 10, 2008 Posted October 10, 2008 Every bit of progress on this ride has me more and more excited for next April, I can't wait to get out to Halloween Haunt to see this thing in person. Thanks to Don Helbig for keeping us updated! I had the pleasure of meeting him last year and he truly is a class act and an all around nice guy.
Beast1979 Posted October 10, 2008 Posted October 10, 2008 *does his happy disco dance* Season Pass Holder Preview day! Woo Woo! Gold or Platinum? I might have to downgrade to a Gold due to money issues.....
flightoffear1996 Posted October 10, 2008 Posted October 10, 2008 A season pass holder day is cool and all but I bet 3/4 to 1/2 of KI visitors are pass holders and the number may go up even more since the addition of Diamondback so how much will it really cut down on the line?
Outdoor Man Posted October 10, 2008 Posted October 10, 2008 Beast1979... maybe if you weren't on the computer having updates at the top and bottom of each hour you may have less money issues. Speaking of finances... I think Kings Island may want to reconsider the name of the coaster and maybe go for: Dow Jones, The Ride Wall Street Stock Market Thrill Coaster or maybe they'll put a Dive Coaster in next year. If they do- can someone remember I came up with a name!
FOFreak Posted October 10, 2008 Posted October 10, 2008 Ha! I got your joke! The dive...and the DOW... and the stocks...
Aaron Posted October 11, 2008 Posted October 11, 2008 Ha! I got your joke! The dive...and the DOW... and the stocks... Wow, you're a quick one.
The Interpreter Posted October 11, 2008 Posted October 11, 2008 And much of what you know is right. Always be good to yourself!
