I just put my hubby on coaster community. It was easy. I hope that works. Is KICentral the only ones with a deadline when you can join to attend the ride weekend? I just hope this works. Is a pretty neat site. But im a true KICentral fan ;)

There are countless coaster enthusiast events at countless parks and allowing KICentral -- a fan site, not an enthusiast group -- participate is a privileged that is simply unprecedented. The unfortunate risk you run doing something like this is it could quickly become a Gold Pass event -- which it isn't. Ride Warriors Weekend is intended to be for the most loyal and enthusiastic fans and it simply isn't fair to other participants (KIC or otherwise) for 1,000 people to show up by simply registering on this web site, so the line had to be drawn somewhere.

This site is amazing. I know I haven't been on here long but Im on here every time I get a chance. I love the PRIVILEGE of being apart of this group. I can't wait till I get to meet some of you! I completely understand about putting a deadline on being able to join. I do believe that a spouse should be able to join the member though ;)

I think that working on this weekend will be fun and exciting! :)

I am seriously considering going for this. I want to make an Ohio/Indiana vacation plan for this coming summer. I hope to attend Kings Island, Cedar Point, Holiday World, and try to make it to a Reds Baseball game. I am especially hopeful to make it to Holiday World, as I have never been there before. I tried to make time for it last summer, but it simply did not happen.

Sad day...sort of...I can't go now, I get out of school on the 8th, and have to turn around and report at Cedar Point on the 11th...which happens to be my birthday...There's no way I could come home and then turn around and leave for the summer again with no preparation...

^^ I usually go to Cedar Point twice a year. Its a pretty fun park. Sad thing is man as much as I love roller coasters and theme parks I have only been to Geagua Lake, Cedar Point, Kings Island, Coney Island, Striker Groove, and Universal Studios Flordia. Very sad I know!

Sorry to be nit-picky, but it's Stricker's Grove.

^^You do know CP's opening day is May 16th? That'll be a long trip.

All at once....No Way! To be able to go to these parks will probably take a few 3 day weekends, through the course of a few months. I wish I had that much free time.

To be fair, I am really looking forward to Diamondback at Kings Island. I am most eager to go to Holiday World, because I have never been there, and I love new experiences. And 2nd I am looking forward to Cedar Point as I have not been to this park, or anywhere north of Columbus since June, 2003. I take that back, I have been to The Wilds in Zainesville, Ohio. But that's east.

okay im sure its been asked earlier but...well...that was a lot of reading and well...you know how it is.

i joined KICentral Feb 9th...shoot..missed the deadline.....BUT....i plan on getting a gold season pass........can i still go? or is it like...you have to have both....

you'll have to forgive me im a weeee bit slow :huh: haha...so if someone could kindly spell that out for me that would be great...it would be awesome to go. the idea of "behind the scenes tours" is absolutely amazing to me and i'd LOVE to be a part of it

BooBuzz event at CP which was pretty nice last year (I got 9 rides during ERT on Maverick - and it ended up being the busiest day of the year).

October 11, perhaps? I remember you said in my PTR that you saw me on the train in the MF station sometime that weekend.

The lines that day were downright ridiculous.. Milly's line was out of the queue almost to the lockers, TTD's line was out of the queue past the grandstand, and Maverick's line was wrapped around the queue and backed up to Chick-Fil-A. I wasn't sure I was going to make it out of CP alive. :lol:

October 11 was BooBuzz - and from what I've been told it was *the* busiest day of the year - Heck, we waited in line 45 minutes, maybe more, just for Corkscrew because we had time to kill before the meal. After 10am, my brother only got on 5 rides that day - Wicked Twister was like a 2 hour wait.

I saw you on MF Nov 2nd, when there was no line, the gates were open, we were waiting for the next car and I saw you go by especially with the KI sweatshirt I figured it was you (and I was right) - then we had to skidaddle over the final ride of the season line so my kiddos could ride.

<sniff> ya know, I really hate Winter! :rolleyes:

i just signed up for one of the clubs (coasterbuzz) for the weekend and i'll be getting a gold season pass. HERE IS MY QUESTION! and if its been asked just ignore me and my simple new guy ways. will there be like a seperate sign up through the clubs themselves or to the park or how does that work cuz i know it isn't just a hey lets show up kind of gig...or is it? nah its not....so how does the whole registration process work (this will hopefully be my first event)

and like i said if this has been asked a bunch of times just please ignore me

A Few Notes:

- Remember that you MUST be a member of one of the approved organizations in order to participate.

- Each member of the approved organization is allowed ONE guest.

- This event is FREE for members of the approved clubs and organizations who have a Kings Island season pass or Cedar Fair Platinum Pass.

- All guests must purchase a ticket for $47.99 in order to participate REGARDLESS of whether or not they have a pass.

- In order to participate as a member of the Coasterbuzz Club, you MUST be a member of the club - not just the forums. The Coasterbuzz Club costs $20 per year and you can join by clicking here.

- Registration will begin at a future date and will end 2 to 3 weeks before the actual event, so register early!

- Anyone who registers will be sent a confirmation email. You MUST bring this email with a photo ID the day of the event in order to participate.

- Remember that the KICentral Universe is included to participate but you MUST have been a registered member of the forums before February 1st, 2009 in order to participate as a member of KIC.

- Anyone who does not have a photo ID along with the confirmation e-mail will not be permitted to participate in Ride Warriors Coaster Weekend.

wait...i didn't think we could bring any guests....so far anything i have read said so..or at least so i thought

if its "FREE" with the season pass then why do we have to buy a $50 ticket? that means its not free..that means it costs $50

now im confused

i still would have sworn that you couldn't bring a guest...so is this like a new thing being able to bring someone? cuz i'd like to but i dont want to drag her all the way out there to have her turned away at the gate. so is there anywhere official i can find that out? or should i just take your word for it

It was announced a couple pages back that you CAN bring a guest. Make sure you read the entire thread. A lot of your questions were answered in the 'in between' pages.
